Chapter 188 Biking to the Office
Separated by a car door, Colbert's face clouded over the moment the door shut.
Seeing Colbert's troubled expression through the rearview mirror, Corey quickly understood. Lowering
the car window, he said to Eudora, "Where does Ms. Stanford wish to go? Get in, I'll give you a ride."
"Heh, thank you, Mr. Housman, but I'll walk," she replied.
If Colbert found out she worked at Chasel Corporation, it would spell trouble.

Corey fell silent, unsure how to continue. He glanced at the rearview mirror again, throwing Colbert a
pleading look.
To his surprise, Colbert simply said in a cold voice, "Go."
"Yes, Mr. Steele."
Corey rolled up the car window and drove off.
Eudora walked out of the garage.
Although the private elevator in her apartment building could take her directly to the Philomel Club
lobby, the club was not yet open, and the front door was locked. So, she had no choice but to leavenovelbin
through the basement or sub-basement.
Colbert always left via the sub-basement because it had his private parking spot and a dedicated
chauffeur waiting for him.
But Eudora wasn't as lucky.
Exiting the underground garage, she scanned a QR code with her phone and rode a bike to the office.
Once at Chasel Corporation, she finally met Chasel in the president's office.
After some polite conversation, Eudora went straight to the secretarial department to begin learning
from the head secretary.
First, she familiarized herself with the company's rules and regulations, then delved into understanding
the company's background and current revenue situation.
Soon, it was already lunchtime in the midst of her bustling schedule.
While she was engrossed in work, a whistle caught her attention. Looking up, she saw Chasel at the
door, smiling at her with a mischievous charm.
"Time for lunch, let's go," he said.
"Okay, one moment," Eudora replied, glancing at the time. Indeed, it was time to clock out.
After packing up her things, she followed Chasel into the elevator.
Dressed in a white suit that day, Chasel appeared aloof and stern, giving off a strong executive vibe.
However, when he smiled, he transformed into a charming rogue, his naughty grin irresistibly
endearing.
"What would you like to eat?"
Chasel asked Eudora inside the elevator.
Contemplating, Eudora realized Chasel's corporation was close to Colbert's Sinton Group. To avoid
bumping into Colbert, she decided they should go for fast food. Only in a fast-food joint would she
possibly avoid running into Colbert.
