Chapter 187

Chapter 187 Your Car Door Is Still Open

"Don't throw it away."

He said nonchalantly, standing up to leave the dining table, reminding her. "Clean the table."

"Hmph!"

Eudora's mouth twitched slightly. She touched her warm cheeks, feeling utterly embarrassed.

Colbert treated her well suddenly. She thought Colbert was interested in her, but it turned out he

couldn't finish his drink and saw her as a recycling bin!

Eudora rolled her eyes, finished her pure milk in one gulp, then cleaned up and took the dishes into the

kitchen to wash.

After everything was handled, it was already eight in the morning. Eudora packed up and prepared to

leave.

Just then, Colbert walked out too.

They stood wordlessly together, entering the elevator.

Ding!

After the elevator doors closed, Colbert glanced at Eudora. "Where are you off to?"

"Work."

"Which company?"

"Of course, it's..."

Eudora wanted to say Chasel's company, but remembering Colbert's aversion to Chasel from

yesterday, she said, "I just sent out my resume. I'm going for an interview."

"It's good. After Grandma's birthday, I'll arrange for you to work at Sinton Group."

"What?"

Eudora didn't expect Colbert to arrange for her to work at Sinton Group.

"Don't be so surprised. It was Grandma's wish."

Colbert looked at her with a glance full of disdain, fearing she would overthink it.

"Can I refuse?"

She really didn't want to go to Sinton Group.

Seeing Colbert at Sinton Group during the day and then seeing him again after work was too much for

Eudora. She couldn't imagine how terrifying it would be to see Colbert, like the lingering ghost, every

day.

Moreover, she really hated Colbert.

Seeing him often might affect her mood.

Ding!

Just then, the elevator opened. Colbert, with his long strides, walked out of the elevator. His voice rang

out from a distance. "No, you can't."

His tone left no room for debate.

Eudora raised her eyes and rubbed her forehead. "Such bad luck."

Walking out of the elevator, she saw Colbert getting into a car. Corey was sitting in the driver's seat, but

the rear door was still open.

Eudora figured Colbert was accustomed to Corey's service, even expecting others to close doors for

him. She kindly walked over. "Your car door is still open."

Then with a bang, she closed the sedan door for him, waving at them. "Bye."

She thought to herself, 'Benefits received obligate one to the giver.'

Now dependent on others, even if she hated Colbert to her core, she needed to maintain superficial

peace to avoid angering Colbert and finding herself needing to rent a house.novelbin

Water bills, electricity bills, maintenance fees, and food costs, were all considerable expenses.

She would save wherever she could.

The saved money could be sent to her foster parents, helping them to improve their living standards at

home. That was the best thing to do.
