Chapter 324

hapter 324 Lysanne Arrivednovelbin

The fire was growing fiercer, causing a rapid increase in the surrounding ‘mperature.

Thick smoke began to billow around, and Lysander quickly started to feel difficulty in breathing.

She mustered all her strength, trying to break free. However, for reasons unknown, the harder shestruggled, the tighter the ropes around her hands seemed to bind due to Harry’s mysterious method.

The scorching air was so hot it seared her respiratory tract, causing a fiery sting. Her vision was blurredas the air was filled with a dense white smoke. The smoke was also mixed with a nauseating stench ofrotting seafood.

Tears streamed down her face as she choked on the smoke. She wanted to call out for help, but thethick smoke in the air stifled her voice, making it impossible for her to speak.

“Lysander!” It was Daphne’s voice!

“Lysa, where are you?” It was Howard.

They had arrived!

Immediately, tears began to pour down Lysander’s face. She struggled to move to the cabin door andforcefully rammed into it. The impact caused the boat to rock violently, and she hoped that would drawtheir attention.

“There must be at least thirty or forty boats here. How are we supposed to find her?” Howard’s voicewas filled with urgency, a hint of despair creeping in. Lysa…”

Daphne was also panicking. “Josiah, did you not make the payment at all? Why hasn’t Harry sent overLysander’s location yet?”

Josiah’s response was brief, just two words. “I did.”

“Why did Harry still… I sent him money, and he blocked me! What a f*cking sc*mbag!” Howard’s voicewas already choked with sobs. “Josiah, what do we do now? Think of something to save Lysa!”

Someone said, “Dad, don’t worry. Josiah has already called the fire department. They’ll be here soon.Dr. Thorne will be fine.”

Lysander was somewhat taken aback when she heard that voice. It’s Lysanne? Isn’t she at thehospital? Why

is she here?

Howard’s voice was growing weaker. “Why hasn’t the fire department arrived yet? The fire is gettingbigger.”

Josiah’s voice was deep and frosty. “I can’t wait any longer. I’m going to look for her.”

“Josiah,” Lysanne called out. “I’m coming with you!”

“Don’t cauch trouble”

“I understand you despise me right now, but isn’t it better to have more people on the search? I’m evenmore eager than you for Dr. Thorne to be safe. If anything happens to her, the resentment you hold forme will never fade in this lifetime.”

Josiah didn’t reply.

Daphne spoke sternly. “I’ll join the search too. I’ll begin from the far left. Josiah, you start from the farright. As for Ms. Thorne… You start from the middle and expand outward. If you can save Lysander’slife today, I’ll owe you a favor.”

Lysanne assured, “All right, you can trust me. I’ll do my best. Josiah, please let me do this. I really wantto help you all.”

“Let’s begin then,” replied Josiah.

From afar, the anxious voice of Howard could be heard. “Be careful, all of you! Lysa, where are you?Can you hear me?”

Lysander mustered all her strength, trying to shout, but the smoke had already engulfed the entirecabin. She croaked out a few shouts, but they couldn’t even drown out the sound of the surroundingwood burning.

She could only repeatedly ram into the cabin, trying her best to make as much noise as possible.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed from the entrance.

Lysander was overjoyed beyond belief. She continued to exert force, shouting as loud as she could.

“Dr. Thorne, are you in there?” asked someone nearby.

Lysander cried out. Even though her voice was already hoarse, she was still doing everything she co tosave herself.

A gap was created as the cabin door was pulled open, and Lysander caught sight of Lysanne’s figure.

Lysanne was standing outside, clad in a dark-colored trench coat, and she had spotted Lysander too.
