Chapter 741

Chapter 741

After a bit of chit-chat, Estelle passed the rest of her cherries to Gwen

Malcom craved a smoke, so he stepped outside for a puff, with Craig lagging along.

Malcom handed Craig a smoke and teased, “I see you’ve been getting pretty cozy with Gwen”

“She’s such a free spirit, doesn’t act like an actress at all! Craig couldn’t help but chuckle when

mentioning Gwen

Malcom exhaled a puff of smoke, “Even if she doesn’t act like one now, she is heading down that path

Once the movie comes out, she won’t be a nobody anymore As someone who’s been around the

block, let me tell you this, it’s okay to be friends, but don’t go catching feelings for her She’s just getting

started, and she won’t stop for you

Craig was a bit taken aback, but quickly understood Malcom’s point. He brushed it off a little awkwardly.

“You got it all wrong. I see her as a friend, just like Estelle! I know the deal between us and actresses,

don’t worry about that”

“Good, as long as you get it,” Malcom stubbed out his cigarette, tossing it into a nearby trash bin,

“There are plenty of examples out there, don’t be a fool”

“No worries”” Craig scratched his head, chuckling.

“It’s freezing’” Malcom wrapped his coat tighter around him, “Let’s head back in”

As soon as they re-entered and Craig sat down, Gwen came over with a few bottles of yogurt, “We’ve

got shooting this afternoon, no more booze, have some yogurt to sober up instead.”

Looking at Gwen’s radiant face, Craig suddenly felt a little down and uncomfortable, recalling Malcom’s

earlier words. He stopped fooling around with Gwen.

When they were almost done with their hotpot, Gwen’s agent called. She stepped aside to a quieter

spot to take the call.

Malcom cracked open a bottle of yogurt for Estelle, chuckling. “On your birthday, my group chat was

flooded with messages, all asking who Estelle is?*

Not just in his group chat, probably everyone in town was curious about who Estelle was

Estelle laughed, “I didn’t even know myself A friend set it up.”

Craig figured the ‘friend Estelle was referring to must be Mr. Lamont

As they were laughing and joking, Gwen came back from her call, sat down silently, teary-eyed, looking

like she’d seen a ghost

The other three at the table were puzzled. Craig was the first to ask, “What happened?”

“Wow!”

Gwen burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably

Estelle and Mr. Malcom were both bewildered. Craig asked anxiously, “Why are you crying? What’s

going on?”

People sitting nearby saw a young girl crying and turned their attention towards them.

Regardless of the attention she was drawing, Gwen cried even harder.

“Spit it out already, you’re killing me here!” Craig frowned

Gwen finally lowered her hands, grabbed a tissue, and vigorously wiped her tears, sobbing. “My my

agent just called The endorsement deal that was just confirmed got cancelled They don’t want me as

their spokesperson anymore”novelbin

Craig heaved a sigh of relief, “I thought something serious happened.”

Gwen cried, “Isn’t this serious enough? It was my first endorsement. Now the endorsement is gone,

and so is the money!”

Watching Gwen cry like a child over the lost money, Estelle couldn’t help but feel a bit amused.

Malcom chuckled too, passing her a tissue, “Money comes and goes. It’s common for deals to fall

through before contracts are signed”

“But we were supposed to sign the contract tomorrow’ And now it gets cancelled today” Gwen was

visibly upset

“Why did they cancel it?” Craig asked

“I don’t know!” Gwen continued to sob, “My agent said he’ll find out why!”
