Chapter 551

Chapter 551

In the afternoon at work, Estelle suddenly got a call from Carmella, “Estelle. I’m meeting a client

outside, but I forgot to take their address. It’s in the first drawer of my office desk. Can you check it out f

or me?”

“Sure, I’ll send it to you in a bit!” Estelle hung up, eyes flickering.

She went to Carmella’s desk, opened the drawer, and looked for the address Carmella wanted.

There was a stack of design drafts on top, and Estelle flipped to the bottom to find the address. She too

k a photo with her phone and sent it to Carmella.

Carmella quickly replied, “Got it, thanks!”novelbin

Estelle didn’t respond and went straight back to her desk to work.

Before leaving work, Carmella

handed her design drafts to Alice, “Alice, you asked me to draw three hand–

drawn sketches for practice, and I’ve finished them.”

Alice took a look, surprise flickering in her eyes. She thought Carmella, as Albert’s student, managed to

incorporate tradition into her design, and it was truly stunning.

She looked at the design drafts, the more

she looked, the more she liked them. There were some small details she had never thought of, but they

brought the whole design to life, making it look layered.

She had

never realized Carmella was a design genius before. She was secretly shocked, but her face remained

calm. She just smiled lightly, “Nicely done, Director Carlin always praised you, and it seems you really d

o have the ability to design independently now!”

Carmella humbly replied, “After joining the design studio, you’ve taught me a lot!”

Alice chuckled, “I’ll keep these drafts then. I’ll help you make some changes to them.”

Carmella could clearly see

Alice’s satisfaction with the design drafts. She sneered in her heart, but put on a even sweeter smile, “If

I can help you, even just a little, I’d be very happy. You can go on with your work; I’ll get out

of your way now!”

“Mhm, there’s nothing else, you can pack up and prepare to clock off work for today.” Alice’s tone softe

ned, especially compared to her recent cold demeanor.

“Alright!”

Carmella exited the office, smiling.

After she left, Alice looked closely at the design drafts again, feeling excited. If she could use these draf

ts for the film party, she’d definitely become their designated designer!

It was time to

leave work, and Alice took the elevator downstairs with Miya. She couldn’t hide her happiness.

Miya looked at her curiously, laughing, “What’s got you so happy?”

Alice paused for a moment before answering, “I get to meet my idol on Sunday! Of course, I’m happy!”

“Didn’t you say Yvonne might not come?” Miya didn’t care too much as she fiddled with her newly done

nails.

“Well, I’m still happy!” Alice said smugly.

Estelle was very busy this

weekend: on Saturday morning, she needed to teach Henson, then she needed to hurry to Xavier’s bar

becue

store.

On Sunday morning, she had another class again, and then she needed to go to the cocktail party.

In the evening, Estelle told Jonathan about going to the barbecue store the next day and asked if he wa

nted to join.

Jonathan sat on the couch, with one arm holding Estelle in his arms while looking at his phone, smiling,

“After class tomorrow, I’ll take you there.”

Estelle played games with Henson on her phone, laughing, “Is this another ‘on–the–way‘ excuse?”

“Then help me think of one!”

Jonathan put down his phone, grabbed Estelle’s waist with both hands, flipped her onto

his lap, and looked deep into her eyes. “I wanted to make it public, but you disagreed. If we went publi

c, would we even need to explain to others?”

Estelle leaned in, wrapped her arms around his neck, and hugged him while continuing to play games,

casually saying, “Going public

would cause more trouble.”

Jonathan gently stroked her shoulder–

length black hair, speaking softly, “Are you afraid my family won’t agree? Actually, my family is very

open–

minded and doesn’t interfere with my marriage much. I don’t need to marry a woman from an equal fa

mily background.”
