Chapter 473

Chapter 473

Mr. James pretended to be serious and said, “We have guests, be more poised!”

The woman called Yolanda chuckled and said, “Young people are all like this, it’s their unique

liveliness!” novelbin

Mrs. James laughed and said, “He’s just like a kid, you see Amiee is so poised!”

Josiah sat on the couch, looking at the girl across from him. She had short hair, wore a white shirt,

black pants, and dressed like an employee at a dessert shop. She looked okay, but somewhat cold.

She glanced at him and then turned her head away, with a cool expression.

At this time, Yolanda laughed and said, “I think Amiee is too poised, not like a girl at all. I like Josiah’s

temperament more!”

Mrs. James immediately said, “A girl should be more poised, and that’s what I like. However, we can let

Amiee and Josiah spend more time together. If the two can learn from each other, then we’re all

satisfied!”

“It would be great if that happens!”

Both sides complimented and praised each other, and Josiah realized after a few words that this was a

date arranged by their families!

But it seemed the girl didn’t want it either, so he would be the bad guy here!

He stood up, “Mom, Dad, I have some things to do, I’ll go first.”

As he finished, he turned to leave.

“Stop!” Mrs. James shouted but didn’t dare get too mad in front of the Jordan family. She could only

smile and say, “We have guests at home, where are you going? Take Amiee around the garden.”

“Mom, I really have things to do!” Josiah frowned.

Yolanda laughed, “Since Josiah has something to do, let him go and don’t hold up his work!”

“You have to stay at home today, no matter how busy you are!” Mrs. James glared at Josiah and said,

“Go!”

Mr. James also spoke up, “It’s Auntie Yolanda and Amiee’s first time at our home. You put your

important stuff aside and show Amiee around.”

Josiah smiled at the girl across from him, “Come with me!”

Amiee didn’t say anything else. She got up politely, said goodbye to Mrs. James and Mr. James, and

followed Josiah out the door towards the garden.

Mrs. James felt embarrassed, “Josiah has been running around outside all these years, still like a kid.

I’m sorry to have caused you embarrassment, Mrs. Jordan!”

Yolanda elegantly laughed, “Josiah is very straightforward, which is rare.”

“Yes, yes!” Mrs. James laughed and poured her some tea.

Josiah and Amiee headed towards the garden. As they walked, Josiah’s expression suddenly became

distant, and he questioned, “So, your name is Amiee?”

Amiee stopped on the stone path and glanced back at him with an icy gaze. She gave a subtle nod in

confirmation.

Deciding to take a break, Josiah settled down on a nearby bench and suggested, “I don’t feel like

walking anymore. Let’s sit here for a while.”

Amiee sat beside him, giving a disgusted glance at his posture. She bowed her head and remained

silent.

Josiah noticed that she didn’t like him, so he made his sitting posture even more casual, as if

deliberately showing it off to her. “I can tell you’re young, so you probably got tricked into coming. I’ll be

honest, I’m not into you, and you’re not into me either. Let’s just make it clear when we go back!”

Amiee turned her gaze towards him, her eyes brimming with significance.

Josiah felt a hint of unease as he furrowed his brow and asked, “Why are you staring at me with such

intensity?”

Amiee smirked and retorted, “Is it because you’re a man and you’re frightened of being observed?”

Josiah arched an eyebrow, his eyes darting around, and questioned, “What if you actually develop

feelings for me?”
