Chapter 1946

In the living room, half a dozen women were lounging about, all dressed scantily for the warm climate.

When Lambert walked in, they rose to their feet and swarmed around him.

Encircled by the group of women, Lambert turned to Sylvia with a perplexed look. "Ms. Beverly, what's

the meaning of this?"

Sylvia gave him a sly smile. "Knowing Mr. Brennan's penchant for pretty ladies, this is a little welcome

gift from Alvis. Enjoy!"

With a nod, Sylvia left the room, leaving Lambert somewhat stunned.

Lately, Lambert hadn't taken much interest in female company and tried to make his exit, but the

women were not having it.

"Mr. Brennan, don't go!"

"We've been waiting for you!"

"We've heard about Mr. Brennan is blessed with unique… talents. Any chance we might witness that

today?"

The six women came from a mix of ethnic backgrounds and spoke various languages, some in native

English and some in broken Chinese, as they nudged Lambert toward the plush couch in the center of

the room.

The couch was huge, swallowing Lambert as he sank into it. Before he could utter a word, one of the

women boldly took a seat on his lap.

Sylvia had just returned to the banquet hall when she noticed Estelle looking around, seemingly in

search of someone.

"Looking for Mr. Brennan?" Sylvia asked with a warm smile.

"Yes, have you seen him?" Estelle replied.

Even if she was currently annoyed with him, she felt for the compel to ensure his safety.

"I last saw Mr. Brennan heading to the suites with two companions. They probably went to rest after a

few drinks," Sylvia chuckled lightly. "Best not to disturb them now!"

Estelle’s brow raised in silent exasperation at the rake's unceasing antics.

"Thanks, I've got it!"

Sylvia watched her with a gentle gaze. "You're welcome."

Estelle guessed Lambert wouldn't be returning tonight, and worried that Jonathan might reveal their

relationship in public, she decided to leave the dinner early.

Back at the villa, Estelle wanted to wrap up her mission quickly and find her brother, thinking thatnovelbin

Jonathan would undoubtedly try to haul her back. She shed her gown and mask, slipped back into her

maid's outfit, and returned to the building.

Below the twentieth floor of the building were suites for the research staff, while everything above was

set aside for entertainment for all of Zion. Estelle decided to stick to delivering midnight snacks as her

means of locating the researcher.

Lambert had mentioned that Zion had recently regrouped all researchers in an auxiliary building, and

she was determined to find them.

She had the advantage now, as Raiden was aware of her search for Gab but not for the researcher—

his scrutiny mattered less to her. She felt free to move about, regardless of Raiden's surveillance.

Now Estelle didn't need to pose as the maid from the duty room anymore, as the kitchen staff had

already accepted her as the new girl, specifically there to help with midnight snack deliveries.

So she went straight to the kitchen and, as soon as the meal cart was ready, she took charge and set

out to make the deliveries.

But as she reached the elevator with the cart, the elevator door slid open revealing Jonathan at the

forefront, followed by a group of Citadel's affluent businessmen and politicians, all winding up from their

evening festivities.

Raiden was absent, and it was Winston accompanying them instead.

Estelle immediately bowed her head in respect and stepped aside to make room for them.

Jonathan glanced at her and then at the snack cart, inquiring, "Who's this for?"

Winston explained, "That's the late-night snacks for our staff."

Jonathan nodded. "They smell delicious!"

Sylvia laughed, "It really does. I didn't eat much earlier, and suddenly I'm feeling hungry." New ch?pter

Estelle, disguising her voice, responded demurely, "Certainly!"
