Chapter 1849
Nearby, someone exclaimed in awe, "The Langston heir's wedding with Ms. Sampson is absolutely
fairy-tale like – their families are so well-matched, and they look stunning together. It's like a storybook
romance come to life."
Another chimed in, "Who are the best man and maid of honor? They're off-the-charts gorgeous. Were
they hired from Hollywood or something?"
"No way, the best man seems to be the crown prince of the Scott family. Don't know the maid of honor,
though!"
"They're really a sight to behold, a perfect match!"
Jonathan's face grew darker by the second, his mood stormy enough to rain.
Charlie pursed his lips to hold back a laugh and pulled Jonathan to their seats at the head table.
After exchanging rings and performing the toast to both sets of parents, Magdalen and Morrison gave
their speech to the guests, marking the end of the wedding ceremony.
Morrison led Magdalen out the back door to the garden for a photo shoot as the wedding banquet
gradually got underway.
Manley, carrying Kya, left the hall with Charlie waiting to take her. He gave a faint smile, "Manley!"
Manley grinned, "Heard from Magdalen that you and Emily patched things up. Congratulations on
gaining such a wonderful wife and daughter all at once!"
Charlie nodded, "Thanks, and I appreciate the care you showed Emily and Kya back in Oakdale City."
"Don't mention it; I've truly taken a liking to Kya!" Manley's eyes narrowed slightly, his dazzling allure
unmistakable.
Charlie smiled softly, "Jonathan's back too. He and Estelle are planning their wedding. You're welcome
to come and raise a glass."
Manley's smile dimmed slightly, "I get your hint, but my feelings for Estelle are my own business!"
"Jonathan and Estelle are already legally married," Charlie informed.
"So what?" Manley was nonchalant. "Everyone knows what their marriage certificate is worth. Plus,
didn't Jonathan hurt Estelle once, two years back?"
Charlie's smile remained warm, "That was a misunderstanding."novelbin
"A misunderstanding that nearly cost Estelle her life!" Manley's gaze grew colder. He lifted a hand to
his lips in a casually roguish gesture, "Don't worry, as long as Estelle is happy, I won't do anything. But
if Jonathan dares to mistreat her, I'd stake my entire fortune and life to not let him off easy!"
"There won't be anything for you to worry about," Charlie assured.
"Better that way!" Manley flashed a smile and looked at Kya, "I'm off to see Estelle. See you later!"
Kya waved, "Bye-bye, daddy!"
Once Manley was out of sight, Charlie hugged Kya close and whispered, "From now on, you call him
Mr. Scott."
"Why?" Kya asked with wide eyes.
"Because," Charlie pinched her rosy cheek gently, "you can only have one daddy."
"What about Jonathan?" Kya asked innocently.
"Jonathan?" Charlie raised an eyebrow playfully, "He's been in a mood lately. Best we keep our
distance for now."
Magdalen prepared to throw her bouquet amidst a crowd of eager guests.
In the garden, surrounded by the soothing sounds of flowing springs and a comfortable temperature, a
mist rose among the flowers, adding a dreamlike quality straight out of a fairy tale.
Under the setting sun, Magdalen stood in her pristine white wedding gown, her features radiant and
pronounced. She turned her back to the crowd, laughing freely, raised her hand, and shouted, "Ella,
catch!"
She tossed the bouquet in Estelle's direction. Sophia and the others, knowing Estelle was the intended
catcher, didn't attempt to intercept. Only Gabrielle, another bridesmaid, seemed poised to snatch it
away.
Before she could make her move, someone tapped her on the back. Turning around, she was met with
a strikingly handsome face – the most dashing best man.
Manley's lips curled seductively, "Miss, you seem familiar. Have we met before?"
