Chapter 1796

Chapter 1796

Charlie was throwing a party, which was the last thing Jonathan wanted to attend.

He didn't want to see him at all!novelbin

Charlie booked the Fairview Hotel for the occasion. After a long day at work, Jonathan went to the

movie set to pick up Estelle.

He had been waiting for a while when he spotted Estelle walking towards the parking lot.

The evening wind carried a chilling bite, and Estelle was only wearing a thin cardigan. Its pale blue

color and delicate V-neck framed her exquisite face, giving her an aura of cool elegance.

She seemed deep in thought, her head slightly lowered. The wind blew through her loose hair, the ends

brushing against her clean, fair face. Under the dimming light, her beautiful profile was a sight to

behold.

Jonathan watched her for a moment before getting out of his car and walking towards her.

Hearing his approach, Estelle looked up, her face bathed in the warm dusk light, and gave him a smile.

Jonathan's heart melted. Suddenly, he realized that having her was all he ever needed!

As he reached Estelle, Jonathan took off his coat and wrapped it around her before guiding her

towards his car.

Once inside, Jonathan, as was his habit, helped her fasten her seatbelt and then kissed her on the lips.

Her lips were cool and soft, making him want to keep them in his mouth forever.

The setting sun shone through the car window, casting a gentle glow on Estelle's half-closed

eyelashes. The light seemed to spread to their intertwined profiles, to the corners of their sealed lips. In

the shimmering light, an unspoken language of love flowed between them.

After a while, Estelle pulled away, her clear eyes glittering. In a soft voice, she said, "We should get

going!"

Jonathan, unwilling to part, caressed her face and planted another kiss on the corner of her lips. After a

few long breaths to regain his composure, he settled back into the driver's seat and started the car.

The early winter evenings were brief. By the time they reached the Fairview Hotel, night had already

begun to fall.

Estelle's favorite songs were playing in the car. As she looked at the newly lit streets, a sense of peace

washed over her. Perhaps it was because Jonathan was right beside her.

Jonathan looked over at her and took her hand, holding it in his own.

Charlie had reserved a private yard at the Fairview Hotel. The place was surrounded by pavilions and

winding streams, exuding an ancient charm. It was both peaceful and intriguing.

By the time Estelle and Jonathan arrived, everyone else was already there.

Magdalen was holding Kya by a pond, trying to catch fish. Emily, holding a small bucket for the fish,

saw Estelle and greeted her with a smile, “Estelle!"

“Ella, come and see how many fish Kya and I have caught!” Magdalen called out.

“Estelle!” Kya's eyes sparkled with excitement as they reflected the warm lights.

Jonathan let go of Estelle's hand, allowing her to join Magdalen and the others, while he walked

towards the pavilion.

Morrison was there too, sharing a cup of tea with Charlie. Seeing Jonathan approach, he stood up to

greet him, "Mr. Lamont!"

Jonathan responded with a warm smile, "We'll be seeing each other often, no need for formalities!"

“Indeed, we didn't interact much before, but now we'll have plenty of opportunities!" Charlie replied, his

face a picture of elegance, "I heard that you are getting married soon, congratulations!"

The warm yellow light softened Morrison's refined and aloof demeanor. He replied with a slight smile,

"Thank you. What about you two, when's the wedding?"

"We're in no rush. We already have a kid. The wedding's just a matter of time!" Charlie responded, a

smile tugging at the corners of his lips, “It seems Jonathan here is the one lagging behind!"

Jonathan, who had been calm until now, couldn't help but scoff at Charlie's smugness, “Estelle and I

already have our marriage certificate. We're definitely in no hurry."

Charlie raised an eyebrow, "How about we have a joint wedding?"

Jonathan took a sip of his tea, “Sounds good!"

"Do you think you can make decisions for Estelle?"

"Do you think you can make decisions for Emily?"

The two men locked eyes for a moment before breaking into laughter.

Morrison interjected, "Mr. James has a kid, no marriage certificate, no wedding. Mr. Lamont has a

marriage certificate, no kid, no wedding. You two are quite the pair!"
