Chapter 1767

Chapter 1767

"So, what's your game plan now that you know Kya is your daughter?" Estelle asked.

Charlie looked at Estelle, his eyes filled with pain but also determination. "I love her. I want to marry

her. Even before I knew about Kya, I was serious about her."

Estelle smirked and nodded, “Alright, that's all I needed to hear."

"Can you tell me about her time in Oakdale City?" Charlie asked, “Which hospital did she give birth in?

Where has she been living?"

"Sure, I'll tell you everything you want to know."

Estelle detailed Emily's arrival in Oakdale City, her meeting with the kind landlady, and their life

together in the city.

“When Kya was due, she was in a breech position, the doctors said she could suffocate at any time.

So, Magdalen and I decided to have Emily go for a c-section."

Charlie remembered the faint scar on Emily's body and felt a pang of pain in his chest, he nodded

solemnly, "Thank you, for being there for her."

"Kya was thin when she was born, but by the time she was a month old, she was plump and cute."

Charlie's eyes moistened, "Do you have pictures?"

"I do, let me find them." Estelle took out her phone, searched her backup album, and showed Charlie

the photos.

In the photo, Emily was holding Kya, her head slightly tilted, her cheeks fuller than now, her eyes soft

and joyous as she looked at the child in her arms.

Looking back, many people had mentioned that Kya resembled him, but he had always thought that he

and Emily never had a relationship, so he thought people were just being polite.

Now, his chest felt heavy, full of regret. Emily had been pregnant, given birth, and he who should have

been by her side, wasn't.

Estelle went on to share more about Emily and Kya's life in Oakdale City.

"Emily's family brought her much sorrow, but she’s always optimistic. Whether it's studying or working,

she's always diligent. It's only when it comes to you that she feels insecure and evasive." Estelle said in

a low voice, "She doesn't want to burden anyone, especially you."

Charlie nodded, “I understand her, but no matter her concerns, I won't let go this time."

Estelle smiled, "That's great. I believe you can make Emily happy again."

“But she doesn't want to see me right now." Charlie frowned, "She still doesn't trust me."

"No, she's starting to trust you.’ Estelle laughed, "Just give her some more time."

Charlie's gaze turned serious, he didn't want to wait anymore, but he knew Estelle was right, he

couldn't push her too hard.

The sky had turned completely dark, Estelle asked, "Where's Kya?"

"At my place."

“Then you should take care of Kya and give Emily some time to think about your relationship.

“Sure.” Charlie stood up, “Thank you, Estelle. I really appreciate it."

“Emily is my friend." Estelle smiled.

Charlie nodded, “I'll leave then. Have a chat with her. I'll come back tomorrow. I'll take care of Kya, so

tell her not to worry."

“Alright."novelbin
