Chapter 1703
Chapter 1703
Bennett quickly grabbed his mouse, but no matter how much he clicked, it kept scrolling.
“What the heck? Where's the IT department?" Bennett grimaced, shouting in rage.
“They say it's a hacker attack. They're trying to crack it!" His secretary explained.
Bennett's brows furrowed, “Are all the company computers like this?"
His secretary stuttered, “Yes, all departments, all computers are like this."
Bennett felt as if he'd been hit over the head, his mind buzzing. He slumped in his chair, wondering
who was behind this. Who was mocking him?
Suddenly, he realized that hundreds of his employees were witnessing his humiliation. His face
changed instantly, and he ordered his secretary, "Tell everyone to shut down their computers.
Immediately! No one is allowed to turn them on without my permission!"
"Okay!" His secretary nodded repeatedly, running out to relay Bennett's instructions.
Soon, the heads of all departments flooded into Bennett's office.
"Mr. Macclain, I have several contracts on my computer that need to be sent out today. Now the
computers are hacked, and the clients are waiting anxiously"
"Mr. Macclain, the client is waiting for technical data. When can the computers be fixed?"
Bennett was shaking with rage. He shouted, "Don't we have smartphones? Use those for now. If you
can't even handle this, what good are you?"
The department heads stood there, silent and downtrodden.
The midday came, and the computer issues were still unresolved. Bennett blasted the IT department
several times, but it was to no avail.
Every time a computer was turned on, the screen displayed the same insulting messages aimed atnovelbin
Bennett.
At lunch, Estelle and Jonathan received a message from Josiah, [Mr. Lamont, Amiee and I sent
Bennett a big gift. Praise me!] Estelle raised an eyebrow and showed her phone to Jonathan, "What
does Josiah mean?"
Jonathan smirked, "One gift is not enough. I'll add another!"
In the afternoon, the computer problem still wasn't fixed. As Bennett anxiously waited, the sales
manager hurried in, "Mr. Macclain, Zenith Design Group just called. They said they don't need the
contract anymore and will not be working with us again."
Bennett stood up abruptly, "Why did they suddenly terminate the partnership?"
Before the sales manager could finish, the deputy manager also rushed in, "Mr. Macclain, VistaNova
Enterprises called. They want to cancel their partnership with us."
Next, one after another, four or five long-term big clients also called to terminate their partnerships.
From his initial shock and confusion, Bennett was left in a state of panic.
He quickly made inquiries, and just as he had suspected, all these companies had received warnings
from the Lamont Group, forbidding them from working with the Macclain family.
Bennett tried calling Jonathan, but his assistant answered each time, saying that Mr. Lamont was in a
meeting.
When he called Estelle, her line was always busy. He suspected that he had been blocked.
Bennett was ata loss, dealing with the company’s affairs all night without sleep. The next day, he drove
to the film set to find Estelle, but the crew said she hadn't been there for days.
He had no idea where Estelle was living.
With a significant number of clients lost in a short period, goods piling up, and funds not flowing back,
he didn't know how much longer his company could hold on.
