Chapter 168

Did he do it for her? Chapter 168

In the car, Jonathan held Estelle’s hand and said softly, “My father is a bit stricked, but my mother is

outgoing, and my brother and his wife are easy to talk to. Don’t be nervous, just answer whatever they

ask, and if they give you any gifts, just take them.”

Hearing his tone, Estelle felt more and more like they were a couple going to meet the parents. She

tried to put this thought aside and pretended to be relaxed, “Aren’t they supposed to thank me? So why

should I be nervous?”

Jonathan chuckled, “That’s right! Don’t be nervous! Norah went on a trip to Y Country and came back

with them. You guys will have lots to talk about.”

Estelle hadn’t seen Norah in a long time, so she nodded, “Sure.”

They soon arrived at the Lamont family. Jonathan and Estelle got out of the car and walked towards

the villa one after the other.

A servant came up to them and respectfully smiled, “Mr. Lamont, Ms. Macclain!”

“Ms. Macclain is here!” Henson’s voice came from the living room. He quickly ran over, and he seemed

more lively than usual, probably because his parents were back, “Uncle, you’re back too!”

Jonathan walked with Estelle towards the living room, saying casually, “Yes, I passed by the University

of J City and picked up your teacher.”

As they entered the living room, Norah and her mother, Janice, came into Estelle’s view. Norah stood

up and smiled, “Mom, this is

Estelle.”

Janice, Henson’s mother, stood up and greeted her warmly, “Ms. Macclain.”

Estelle replied, “Hello!”

“Please have a seat!” Janice, in her forties, looked like a well–educated woman with soft and calmnovelbin

eyebrows and eyes. She was elegant and graceful in her every move.

At this moment, the glass door leading to the courtyard was pushed open, and a woman in a dark

blouse entered. She looked like she was in her sixties, but she had a fair, smooth complexion and

bright, cheerful eyes. She laughed and asked, “Is Ms. Macclain here?”

Janice quickly went over and smiled gently, “Yes, she just arrived.”

Jonathan stood up and grinned, “Mom!”

Estelle also hurriedly said, “Nice you meet you.”

Jonathan’s mother came over, looked at Estelle, and smiled gently, “What a beautiful girl!”

Janice also laughed, “Indeed, I was surprised when I first saw her. I thought our Norah was already

beautiful enough, but Estelle outshines her.”

Jonathan glanced at Estelle and smiled smugly without meaning to.

Norah, holding Estelle’s arm, said, “You guys are too much. Of course Estelle is beautiful, but don’t

belittle me!”

Estelle felt embarrassed and smiled at Norah, “They’re just being polite, don’t take it seriously.”

Norah giggled, “You should call my grandma ‘grandma‘ as well.”

Estelle glanced at Jonathan and tried not to laugh, “Yes, if you don’t mind, I’ll call you grandma just like

Norah.”

Jonathan pinched his forehead and turned to look at the courtyard.

“Of course, I don’t mind. You and Norah can both call me grandma.” Jonathan’s mother smiled warmly,

“Sit down.”

At this point, Millard came in with a few boxes of gifts in his hand. Jonathan took them and put them on

the table, saying, “These are from Estelle.”

Janice said gently, “We invited you to our home to thank you for teaching Henson so well. We didn’t

expect you to bring gifts.”

Estelle was also surprised. It wasn’t until last night that Jonathan had mentioned coming to the Lamont

family. She hadn’t had time to prepare any gifts, but Jonathan had already arranged for Millard to

handle this.

She smiled lightly, “It’s no big deal.”

Norah came over, took Estelle’s arm, and sat down, “We’re all family here, you are being too polite!”
