Chapter 1634

Chapter 1634

Tracy was aware of today’s meeting with the bidding companies but didn’t understand why she was

called in.

With a sense of unease, she entered the room. Before she could utter a word, she noticed the photo

projected on the screen, and her face turned pale instantly.

Waters had assured her everything would be fine.

How could there be a photo of their private transaction?

She feared that the company would check her accounts, and she had not even transferred the money

into her own account. How did this happen?

Her heart pounded in her chest, and she broke out into a cold sweat!

“Tracy, tell us the truth!” Gavin’s voice was icy. “If you refuse, we’ll call the police right now. Corporate

espionage for personal gain, that could land you in jail for some years!”

Please don’t call the police! Tracy pleaded, her mind a whirlwind of panic. She glanced at Waters

instinctively

Waters, however, ignored her gaze, lost in her own thoughts.

“Tell us what happened.” Gavin demanded.

Tracy hesitated, her heart pounding in fear. She wasn’t sure what evidence Gavin had. If she

confessed now, her career would be over.

“You don’t want to tell us?” Gavin sneered, reaching for his phone to call the police.

“T’ll tell you!” Tracy’s voice trembled. “It was me. I snooped at Emily’s documents and leaked it to Ms.

Waters.”

Murmurs filled the room.

Charlie looked at her with coldly. “You’ve been working for me for years, Tracy Why would you do

something like this?”

Keeping her head low, Tracy’s face was pale. “I, I didn’t do it for the money. Ever since Emily joined us,

Mr. James has been personally mentoring her. She’s become increasingly important to you and many

crucial projects have been entrusted to her. I feared being replaced by Emily.”

Tears welled up in Tracy’s eyes. “Ms. Waters tole me she could help me get rid of Emily. She promised

not to use the bidding details and would only wanted to eliminate Horizon Enterprises from the

competition without causing any harm to the company. I was foolish!” Tracy pleaded, her face wet with

tears. “Mr. James, please believe me. I never meant to harm the company

Gavin retorted, “You sold our business secrets to a competitor. Are you saying that didn’t harm the

company’s interests? As our old employee, you should know the implications?”

Tracy sobbed uncontrollably. “I made a terrible mistake, I’m sorry!”

Gavin turned to “Ms. Waters, anything you want to add?”

Waters stood up, scowling at Charlie. “You’re quite something, now! You investigated thoroughly, all for

Emily. Fine, I will withdraw from the bidding. And all of our collaborations will be terminated. Il make you

realize you’ve made a mistake today!”

With a last venomous stare at Charlie, Waters stormed out of the room, followed closely by Mr. Larry

The remaining representatives were left puzzled.

“She framed Ms. Sullivan and undermined competitors, and now she’s just walking away like that?”

“What exactly is going on?” novelbin

“So, Ms Waters went to all these lengths just to frame Ms. Sullivan?

Everyone was baffled as to why Waters would bribe Tracy for the bid details only to give them to

Horizon Enterprises and then frame them. Even if she managed to make Horizon Enterprises

disqualified, she still had three other competitors. Winning the bid was not guaranteed!

Did she go to all this trouble just to frame Emily?

What grudge did she hold against Emily?

mins eyes flickered, realizing why Waters had spoken so bitterly earlier.
