Chapter 1487

Ever since Estelle returned to the Macclain family, she finally found some relief from the pressure in her

heart today. Carmella took a deep breath, her smile becoming even sweeter and more relaxed with allnovelbin

the praise she received.

Finding a somewhat quieter spot, Sallie said furiously, "It's just too much, she openly called Estelle an

adopted daughter! With that, there's no way Estelle can return to the Macclain family."

Leonie glanced at Estelle sympathetically and sighed, "People are always biased, but Simone's bias is

just too blatant."

Sallie said angrily, "I can't believe our grandparents didn't step in!"

Leonie scoffed, "In front of so many people, how could your grandparents step in after everything's

been said?"

She knew well that the old folks of the Macclain family were weighing their options. Ever since they

found out that the Lamont family was backing Estelle, their attitude toward her changed. But it's still up

in the air whether Estelle can secure the Lamont family's support! Terrence reportedly wanted to bid for

a project from the Lamont Group, but the Lamont Group didn't offer any special treatment to the

Macclain family. So, Terrence doubted whether this connection could provide strong support.

Carmella, on the other hand, brought glory to the Macclain family. After weighing everything, they might

think Carmella was more valuable to the family. Poor Estelle though.

Despite her harsh words, Leonie was kind-hearted. Seeing Simone being so unreasonable, she

couldn't help but feel sympathetic. Turning to Estelle, she said, "If Simone doesn't want you, I do. I'll

treat you as my daughter!"

Estelle smiled and said, "I'm fine, don't worry."

She knew Simone's choice two years ago, so she wasn't surprised by what happened today. In fact,

she was surprised when Simone initially claimed her as her daughter. She wasn't sad because she

never held any hopes. Long time ago, she had given up the idea of returning to the Macclain family.

Sallie smiled meaningfully at Leonie, "Mom, if you really treat Estelle as your daughter, you will be

extremely grateful for this decision."

Without thinking too much, Leonie thought Sallie just liked Estelle and wanted her to really treat Estelle

as her daughter. She casually said with a smile, "I wouldn't mind, but I don't know if Estelle would!"

Estelle smiled and said, "Let's be serious, Sallie, didn't you want me to look at your design drafts?

Where are they?"

"Right!" Sallie immediately went to get her bag, "All of my designs were rejected by Amber, I'm totally

out of ideas now."

Leonie found them a quiet spot to focus on the designs.

Hans wanted to play games with Estelle, but Leonie stopped him, "Your sister needs to ask Estelle for

advice, don't disturb them!"

Her daughter Sallie had changed, becoming more hardworking and diligent, of course Leonie had to

support her. After saying this, she suddenly remembered something and frowned, "Is Estelle really that

great? Your sister even needs to ask her for advice!"

Without hesitation, Hans said, "Of course, Estelle is like a legend!"

"What kind of god?" Leonie asked in surprise.

Realizing he had said too much, Hans was vague, "It's game slang, you probably wouldn't understand."

"I really don't!" Leonie shook her head, "I also don't understand why you two are so fond of Estelle. If

she's really that good, why did Snowy Studios choose your sister for the show instead of her?"

"That's because Estelle doesn't have the time, or she simply doesn't want to participate in the show."

Hans spun his eyes, whispering to Leonie, "I heard from my sister that she was able to participate in

this variety show all thanks to Estelle's recommendation!"

"Estelle just got promoted from assistant to designer, does her word carry that much weight in Snowy

Studios?" Leonie was somewhat skeptical.

"Trust me, I'm not wrong!" Hans had a mysterious expression, obviously not wanting to say more.

Leonie was skeptical about Hans's words, but thinking about how Sallie had indeed made significant

progress under Estelle's influence and was no longer so playful, she still felt thankful for Estelle. Just

then, a lady she knew came over, so she didn't say more and turned to greet the guest.

As Estelle was looking over Sallie's design drafts and Amber's profile, helping with the revisions, she

heard a commotion from the entrance. Before she could look up, Sallie said, "Is it the president of the

Lamont Group?"

Only then did Estelle look up, and sure enough, it was Jonathan!
