Chapter 1434

"Isn't that the truth?" Jonathan asked with a teasing smirk.

“Yeah, but I'll be damned before I admit it!” Estelle said, her eyes flickering with an ounce of wit.

"Alright then, I'll tell them it was me who fell for you first, and you just reluctantly accepted my love."

Estelle chuckled. "If you put it that way, your family might suspect you're defending me."

"Catherine really likes you; she'd be over the moon even if you approached me on purpose."

"What about Geoffrey?" Estelle asked anxiously.

Jonathan pondered for a bit, saying, "That was a misunderstanding. It was only because Victor Brown

stirred up trouble in front of Geoffrey that he started to question us. Now that the misunderstanding has

been cleared up, Geoffrey won't oppose us."

"What if he does?" Estelle asked.

"There are no what-ifs. As long as I'm here, the situation you're worried about won't happen." Jonathan

spoke, his tone calm but filled with determination.

His eyes flickered, his voice cold. "If you hadn't brought it up, I'd almost forget about Victor."

Two years ago, when Estelle got injured, Jonathan slipped into despair. He fought with all his might

against Zack and the remnants of Wolverine, who fled the country, neglecting Victor in the process.

"You don't have to worry about Victor; I still have a use for him." Estelle said with a smile.

"Do you know where he is?"

"I do." Estelle's eyes hardened. "He's currently at Bennett McClain's company."

As the car gradually headed towards N City, Estelle began to feel uneasy. "Should I buy some gifts?"

After all, she was visiting today as Jonathan's girlfriend.

"You don't need to. Geoffrey and Catherine know we just came back from C City and that we're in a

rush; your presence is enough!" Jonathan comforted.

Estelle pretended to be calm and took a deep breath, turning to look out of the car window. Due to her

previous concealment of her identity, she still felt a bit guilty.

Half an hour later, they stopped at the Lamont family's front gate.

Jonathan, holding Estelle's hand, walked into the yard. A servant came over and respectfully said,

"Jonathan, Ms. McClain."

Upon seeing their intertwined hands, the servant paused before giving an even more respectful smile.

Estelle and Jonathan stepped into the house, and the servant led them to the living room.

Knowing that Estelle was coming, the whole Lamont family was there; even Alcott was called back by

Catherine.

Upon seeing all the people in the living room, Estelle gripped Jonathan's hand tighter.

"Good afternoon!" Jonathan greeted her calmly, naturally saying, "I've brought Estelle back."

Before Estelle could even respond, Catherine had already sprung up and walked over. She pushed

Jonathan aside and lovingly held Estelle's hand, saying, "Estelle, it's been so long. Have you forgotten

about me since you haven't visited in a while?"

Estelle glanced at the sidelined Jonathan and instinctively said, "Mrs. Lamont."

Janice came over, chuckling softly, and said, "You and Jonathan are dating now; why are you still sonovelbin

formal and calling her Mrs. Lamont?"

Estelle's face instantly flushed.

"It's okay, Estelle. You can call me whatever you want!" Catherine gently inspected Estelle and asked,

"Are your eyes okay now?"

Estelle nodded. "They're better now."

"Oh, sweetie, you've had a tough time, haven't you?" Catherine's eyes were full of sympathy; she held

Estelle's hand tightly and said, "It's okay; all the difficulties of the past are over. From now on, you're

part of the Lamont family; no one will dare bully you!"

Estelle was taken aback by Catherine's enthusiasm. She felt a little awkward, but more than that, she

felt guilty.
