Chapter 1433

Over two years have passed, and everything here was still the same old; even the park bench hadn't

budged an inch.

People were feeding pigeons on the square; some were flying kites; the sun was about to set; but thenovelbin

laughter still kept the world alive.

Jonathan leaned on the chair, turned his head to Estelle, and grinned. "C'mon, spill the beans. How

many times have you fooled me?"

Their first visit here was due to a collaboration with Schilder. They came to the Jarvis family looking for

that pair of bracelets. That was also their first time on this square. Back then, Estelle told Jonathan that

her home was not far from here.

The second time was on Christmas; they video-called, and Estelle was sitting right here. But she still

didn't tell him that she was back with the Jarvis family.

A bit awkwardly, Estelle grimaced, "At that time, you were hell-bent on breaking off the engagement

with the McClain family. How could I tell you?"

The setting sun shone on the handsome man's face, and he smiled. "So you're saying I screwed up?"

"Absolutely!"

Jonathan stared at Estelle and said, "If nothing went wrong later, when were you planning to come

clean?"

"Actually, I was always on the fence about whether or not to tell you." Estelle pondered.

She enjoyed the tranquility with Jonathan but was worried that telling him the truth would change their

relationship.

Jonathan held Estelle's hand in his palm, whispering, "You're right, it's my fault. I made you doubt, so

you didn't tell me the truth."

Estelle leaned on Jonathan's shoulder, looking at the soon-to-be-red clouds.

"The fact that we could get back together was fate's doing, but we spent so much energy doubting it."

"I've never doubted anything." Jonathan's hand circled around her shoulder, gently stroking her hair.

Because it wasn't fate's arrangement but his own efforts, how could he doubt his own efforts?

Estelle looked up, her bright eyes quietly looking at him. "Jonathan, you're tougher than me."

"That's because I love you more!" Jonathan lowered his head, gazing at her deeply.

Estelle didn't back down: "My love for you is no less than yours."

"Even if it's less, it's okay!" Jonathan's eyes were full of tenderness. "There's always one who loves

more, and I'm willing to be the one who loves you more."

Estelle's eyes twinkled, and she couldn't help but smile.

Jonathan leaned down and kissed her forehead. "You just stand there; I'll run to you with all my might."

"No!" Estelle hugged Jonathan tightly and said, "We can run towards each other."

Thinking of how she came to J City for him at the beginning, Jonathan felt a wave of tenderness; he felt

incredibly lucky.

The two stayed in C City for two more days, were chased by Mr. Jarvis a few times, and then returned

to J City.

It was already three in the afternoon when they landed. Millard drove them back to the Bright

Commercial Center.

On the way, Jonathan's phone rang. He took a glance and answered, "We just got back. Today?

Alright."

Jonathan said a few words and hung up. He turned to Estelle and said, "Geoffrey and Catherine want

to see you now."

Estelle was taken aback.

Her relationship with Jonathan was no secret; she had to face his parents sooner or later, but she didn't

expect it so soon. She just got back to J City and hadn't prepared anything!

Normally, it's not a big deal for a girlfriend to meet her boyfriend's parents, but Catherine was always

very nice to Estelle before, and she had no idea how to handle this.

"Why so nervous? It's not our first meeting." Jonathan laughed.

Estelle raised her eyebrows and said, "Exactly. Because it's not our first meeting, I have no idea what

to say."

"Don't worry, they both like you a lot!" Jonathan held her hand and said, "I'm with you; no one's going to

give you a hard time."

Estelle thought for a moment, then asked, "Geoffrey already knows about us, right? And he doesn't

approve of us being together. Also, would Catherine think I got close to you on purpose, and that's why

I went to the Lamont family as Henson's tutor?"
