Chapter 1414

Chapter 1414

Yvonne, teary-eyed, said, “I’m still filming for Mr. Tucker. If I quit now, Mr. Tucker would have to reshoot

my parts, and that’d pile more work on Estelle. I’ll leave J City after the film wraps up. I promise not to

cause any trouble for Estelle in the meantime. Plus, if I leave now, it might give Estelle the wrong idea

about you and deepen misunderstanding.”

Jonathan closed his eyes, as if holding back something. “If you upset her again, don’t say I didn’t warn

you.”

“I understand,” Yvonne replied, her voice trembling. novelbin

By the time they got back to J City, it was already evening. Estelle had locked herself in the study,

working on drafts for several hours straight.

When she finally emerged, the sky was completely dark, and the living room was eerily quiet and lonely

with no lights on.

Jonathan was sitting on the sofa, his tall figure barely visible in the dark.

Seeing Estelle, Jonathan turned on the floor lamp, gazing at her affectionately.

I’ve ordered dinner. It might be a bit cold now; let me heat it up for you.”

“No need. I’m going out for a bit and will grab something to eat,” Estelle responded coldly, and then

headed for the door.

“Ella!” Jonathan got up to follow her.

Estelle stopped and turned, her eyes icy under the dim light. “Don’t follow me. And don’t just barge into

my room anymore, or I’m moving out tomorrow” Jonathan looked at her, his eyes somber. “Ella, I

haven’t done anything. You can’t treat me like this.”

“Give me some time to think,” Estelle said, her voice hoarse.

“How much time do you need? I’ll wait right here.

“I don’t want to see you!” Estelle turned and left, slamming the door behind her. The room fell back into

its previous silence.

Jonathan stood there, watching Estelle’s retreating figure, feeling like his chest had been hollowed out.

His heart was empty and numb with pain.

Estelle wandered aimlessly around a nearby supermarket and only came back with a bag of ice

cream.

When she walked back in, only the light from the floor lamp was visible.

Jonathan was already gone.

Estelle sat on the balcony, opening the ice cream containers one by one and eating until she was

freezing and couldn’t eat anymore.

She felt a sharp pain in her stomach.

Looking at the empty ice cream containers, she suddenly realized her relationship with Jonathan was

just like the ice cream. It was her favorite, but it only caused her pain.

The next morning was hectic. By noon, Blythe returned to find Estelle slumped over her desk,

seemingly asleep.

Hearing Blythe’s footsteps, Estelle lifted her head. Her usually sparkling eyes were dull and sad. “Did

you hand in the script?”

“Yep, all done!” Blythe replied, pouring a glass of water for Estelle. She asked curiously. “What’s up

with you, Estelle? Not feeling well?”

“I couldn’t sleep well last night,” she replied, taking a big gulp of water.

Blythe laughed, saying. “You look like you’re heartbroken too!”

Estelle paused her drinking, forced a smile, and asked, “How are you feeling? Any better?”

Blythe sat down and said, “I’m okay, I guess. I feel better when I’m busy, but I still miss him when I

have nothing to do, especially at night. I can’t sleep” She bit her lip and looked at Estelle with a

complex expression, saying, “He’s been trying to reach out to me.”

“Oh?” Estelle raised an eyebrow. “What for?”

“He wants us to get back together. He said that after we broke up, he realized that I was the one he

truly loved. He doesn’t love his ex anymore, he just had a hard time accepting it before”
