Chapter 1253

Chapter 1253

Jonathan was peeling the shrimp, speaking in a low but firm tone, “She’s the only one I’ve ever loved,

why should I make myself miserable?”

Charlie shifted his gaze and suddenly broke into a grin, “Don’t make it sound so grand, you’re just

missing her too much!”

Jonathan gave him a sidelong glance, “I’m fine with that!”

Charlie chuckled lightly and nodded, “Right, as long as you’re willing to, there’s nothing you can’t do in

this world.”

“If I were you, I wouldn’t bother with other people’s business!” Jonathan retorted with a cold laugh.

Charlie looked at him, “What did I do wrong?”

“I heard Emily’s family started introducing her to some guys?” Jonathan raised an eyebrow, “Is that

true?”

Charlie’s smile faded slightly, and he turned back to washing tomatoes, speaking lightly, “What does it

have to do with me?”

Jonathan frowned slightly, and spoke seriously, “Emily has had a tough time these past years, if there’s

a suitable one, I’ll have Estelle persuade her to find a man and get married soon!”

The last trace of a smile vanished from Charlie’s face, “Aren’t you too happy?”

Jonathan scoffed, “Didn’t you say it has nothing to do with you?”

“Anyway, she works under me, of course, it matters!”

“This is her private life, you as a boss, can’t poke your nose into it!”

Charlie’s face darkened, staring at Jonathan for a moment before suddenly laughing, “Fine, I spoke too

much earlier, I won’t meddle in your and Estelle’s business from now on.”

Jonathan smiled faintly, “So concerned about Emily, yet you w

u won’t admit you like her?”

The smile on Charlie’s lips gradually turned cold, “You’re overthinking, she betrayed me, deceived me,

and now she wants to get married and have kids, and enjoy love. Do I look like a pushover?”

Jonathan frowned, “So you haven’t been with a woman in two years because of Emily?”novelbin

“Of course, it’s because of her, she and Noreen made me realize women are so troublesome!”

Charlie’s face turned grim, “So, do you think I can let her go?”

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, and spoke in a low voice, “I suggest you be careful, don’t end up unable

to pick up the pieces!”

Charlie laughed carelessly, “Don’t worry, everything is under my control.”

Jonathan’s lips curled into a slight smile, neither agreeing nor disagreeing.

Charlie was there just to assist Jonathan, watching him skillfully frying shrimp, frying eggs, and making

the sauce, he couldn’t help but admire, “When did you learn to do this?”

“When I lived in the Royal Mansion, I’d cook when I didn’t feel like eating out,” Jonathan spoke softly,

“She had a poor appetite, but loved spicy food, so was always trying to improve her taste.”

Charlie was amazed, “No wonder you could win over Estelle with all this!”

Jonathan thought for a moment, smiling faintly, “Actually I didn’t think much of it when doing these,

when two people are together, you instinctively care for the other one, once it becomes a habit, it turns

into an instinct.”

Charlie scoffed, “I may never understand the kind of feelings you’re talking about.”

Jonathan raised an eyebrow, “Don’t be so quick to judge!”

Charlie raised an eyebrow, a long time ago, he had also envied Jonathan and Estelle’s relationship,

even thought about trying to pursue it, but reality told him, he was more suited for a free and easy life,

definitely not the kind to fall deeply in love.

The doorbell rang, and Emily went to open the door; it was hotel staff delivering the meal.

The conversation between Jonathan and Charlie ended there.
