Chapter 1240

Chapter 1240

Chilling in the lounge, Carson swept a few games straight and all Andrew and the gang could do was

sigh.

A waiter came over to bring their drinks, and Carson ordered, “Fetch a couple of bottles of ’90 Cabernet

Sauvignon, put it on my tab.”

Only then did Andrew and the others crack a smile, “Big spender, huh?”

Just as they were chatting, a waiter came over with the wine, bowed her head to Carson and said, “Mr.

Foster, here’s your wine, please check it.”

Carson turned his head and saw a pretty waiter staring at him gently. Her face looked familiar

Cindy noticed his gaze and bit her lip slightly and said with a smile, “Don’t you remember me, Mr.

Foster? I’m Cindy.”

Then it hit Carson. She was a rival of his fiancée, Marina.

It had been a while since he had seen Cindy and Marina.

“What are you doing here?” Carson asked with a smile.

Cindy tilted her head in a playful way and replied, “I’m moonlighting here, I only work at night.”

“Oh, tough gig.” Carson complimented.

Cindy blushed and sheepishly added, “As girls, we should stand on our own two feet, especially those

of us from average backgrounds, we need to hustle.” “Well said.” Carson agreed.

Cindy blushed even more, still holding the wine, “Mr. Foster, shall I open the wine for you?”

“Sure, I’ll buy you a drink,” Carson said gently.

“Thanks, but we’re not allowed to drink with customers.” Cindy chuckled and opened the wine for

Carson.

She placed the wine glass next to Carson and looked at him gently, “Enjoy your drink, Mr. Foster, I’ve

got to run.”

“Sure.” Carson nodded casually.

Cindy stepped back politely. Her shift manager was nearby, as soon as she stepped out of the room,

Cindy immediately said to him, “Mr. Foster and I are friends, he wants me to take care of this room from

now on.”

The manager had also seen Cindy and Carson’s exchange, so he agreed, “Alright, you’ll be in charge

of Mr. Foster’s room then.”

“Thank you!” Cindy said with a smile.

“You’re welcome.”

Cindy glanced back at the door of the room, a determined look in her eyes. She had once taken Freddy

from Marina successfully, and she was certain she could take Carson too.

Marina looked down on her, she was determined to snatch everything Marina had.

On the weekend, Estelle went to the Lamont family, same as usual, and didn’t see Jonathan.

Henson Lamont had prepared for. class and was now playing games on the couch.

Seeing Estelle arrive, Henson looked up and asked, “Who’s that person you invited?” novelbin

Estelle put her backpack on the table and replied, “An actor from the same crew, what’s up?”

“She’s rubbish, totally reliant on her gear.” Henson mocked, “Just as clumsy as you, killed Hans

Macclain twice yesterday, almost made Hans rage quit.”

Estelle frowned and said, “I haven’t made those mistakes recently, why are you dragging me into this?”

“Because she’s your recruit. If it was anyone else, I would’ve kicked her out already!”

“Just kick her out then, you don’t need to worry about me.”

“Forget it!” Henson threw his phone on the couch, “What if she holds a grudge against you; and takes it

out on you? Maintaining good relationships with colleagues is important in the workplace!”

Estelle looked at him in surprise, “You sure have a lot of insights!”
