Victor said, “My parents raised Estelle for four years, but two years ago, she gave me a chunk of
change and cut me off!”
Carmella asked coldly, “What are you getting at?”
“If Estelle could fork over four grand, how much do you reckon you owe me?” Victor’s eyes lit up with
greed.
“If I pay you, will you leave me alone?” Carmella gritted her teeth.
“No sweat; just pay me and I’ll be out of your hair,” Victor replied instantly.
“How much do you want?” Carmella asked icily.
Victor, with a calculating look, ventured, “How about ten grand?”
“Fine, I’ll transfer it to you now. But once you get the money, you leave the crew immediately and never
show your face to me again!” Carmella said sternly.
Victor thought to himself, ‘Fat chance!’ He’d finally bagged a sugar mama; there’s no way he’d let her
go that easily!

Victor’s eyes sparkled. He’d thrown out the ten-grand figure as a shot in the dark, but Carmella had
agreed without batting an eye. She must be loaded!

Carmella transferred ten grand to Victor, saying sternly, “Quit right away; I don’t want to see you again!”
Victor, seeing the money in his account and barely containing his excitement, grinned, “I’m leaving right

Carmella watched as Victor disappeared from her sight and finally let out a sigh of relief.
She was determined to get this money back from Estelle!
For the next two days, she was on pins and needles, scared to run into Victor at the crew. Thankfully,
Victor took the money and ran.
But things were not going smoothly for her either. Ever since Estelle saved Yulia, Yulia had been
brown-nosing Estelle and giving Carmella the cold shoulder.
If not for her interest in Yvonne, she would’ve quit already!

pretty; Tracy assumed she was there because of connections.
Charlie’s lukewarm attitude toward Emily confirmed Tracy’s suspicions that Emily wouldn’t be
considered for important roles.
However, Emily had only been there a short while when Tracy suffered a setback. It was clear Charlie
was focusing on grooming Emily Sullivan!
