Chapter 813

Chapter 813

He got up and headed out, but as he settled into his car, his hands felt stiff on the wheel.

He had no right to question her.

Just as he had once treated marriage like a game or a burden, she shared the same sentiment. It

explained why she kept the person she liked a secret while waiting for a divorce.

lan found it amusing that, considering all the effort he put into seeking a divorce, she was the one who

wanted it more.

His brow furrowed, and his face was gloomy as hell.

But he held it together and drove back to Greenfield Gardens, intending to patch up the wound on his

back.

Meanwhile, Maja had arrived at the private room in the bar where she was meeting Wilma.

But Wilma was here for a different reason today. Lately, she had been forced to meet these bigwigs

who treated her like a commodity; some even asked her agent right in front of her, How much for a

night?

These wealthy men had no respect for a female artist like her; she gritted her teeth, putting up with

their disgusting behavior.

Tonight was no different; Colin Paisley requested her company.

Just a bit more, she told herself, and then she could join the Star Movie group and be with Elvis.

She took a deep breath and pushed open the door.

Inside were not only Colin but also a few prominent producers, each one a big shot.

It was like walking into the lion’s den.

Wilma couldn’t help but step back, only to be pulled by the man closest to her. novelbin

“So this is the little girl Elvis has been protecting. Quite cute and good acting skills; she just looks a bit

young.”

“It doesn’t matter if she’s young. I heard she’s still a virgin.”

The man turned to Colin.

Colin raised an eyebrow mysteriously and said, “She just turried twenty and has no boyfriend at

university. Very clean. As for whether she’s still a virgin, we’ll have

To test that out.”

The men in the room started laughing, as if it were all perfectly acceptable.

Wilma had always been well protected by Elvis. Even after he left, she had accompanied these men a

few times, but today was undoubtedly the worst.

When a man’s hand crept under her skirt, she didn’t hesitate, stood up, and slapped him.

The slap silenced the room.

The man touched his face, feeling utterly humiliated.

“What the hell?!”

Wilma’s head was slammed onto the coffee table, and the man was about to take her right there in

front of everyone..

But just then, the door was pushed open, and Maja walked in with Beck.

Beck was well–known in Greenfield, recognized by anyone with a bit of status.

Seeing him, the man quickly pulled up his pants, while Wilma began to sob.

Beck quietly asked Maja, “Is this the girl you’re looking for?”

Maja nodded. Knowing who was in this room, she realized that Wilma was in trouble tonight. Luckily,

she bumped into Beck.

“You take her out. I’ll handle things here.”

“Thank you.”

Maja immediately went over and helped Wilma up.

Wilma looked at her face, let out a whimper, and asked through teary eyes, “Who are you?”

“I’m Maja; come on, let’s get you out of here.”

Wilma, terrified, clung to her sleeve, afraid she would leave her behind.

She wanted to save herself for Elvis, even if the man was a bit of a jerk.

With Beck present, Maja successfully got her out of there.

Once they were out, Wilma seemed to come back to life, bursting with energy.

She wiped away her tears, seemed a bit embarrassed, and lifted her head.

“I want you to know that I’m not always treated like a commodity. Once I become famous, even Funfly

will have to suck up to me.“.

Then it hit her. “You’re Maja?!”

The plain–looking rich woman from the rumors? The one with bad taste in men?

Even though these were just rumors, she believed them.

There was no way Maja could be the beautiful woman standing before her!

Impossible!

She felt like she’d been doused with cold water and instantly deflated.

“No way, Elvis is really with you? What am I supposed to do?”

She nearly collapsed on the spot. The idea of Elvis possibly being interested in someone else was a

scarier prospect than what she’d just been through.

Seeing her reaction, Maja reassured her, “Elvis and I are just business partners. I’m his boss; I don’t

have any special feelings for him.”

Hearing this, Wilma’s eyes widened. “Really?”

“Really.”

She let out a sigh of relief and immediately broke into a smile, saying, “That’s good then, Maja. You

have to stick to your guns. Elvis isn’t all that great; he’s just good–looking. He’s probably not as

fantastic as you think; definitely not your type.”

Even though Maja had sneakily checked out Elvis in the past, she did think he was quite manly.
