Chapter 1259

"Judith, are you okay?"

He strode in, scooping her into his arms.

Judith was genuinely scared, her mind filled with Wind's final gaze.

In his wildest dreams, Wind would never have imagined that the woman who’d been treating him

tenderly, kissing him these past few days, would be the one to end his life.

The knife piercing his throat came so suddenly that he didn’t have time to react, because he had

trusted her wholeheartedly.

His last look was one of disbelief, devoid of hatred. It happened too quickly for hatred to set in.

"Dylan, I’m terrified. Maja has gone crazy. I don't ever want to see her again. Dylan, can you take me

back home?"

Back when she was oblivious to her true identity, Judith dreamed of staying in Greenfield, making Maja

uncomfortable, embarrassing her.

But after she had a hunch about Maja's background, she only hoped that Dylan would detest Maja,

maybe even kill her himself.

Now, she feigned fragility, acting like she had been scared out of her wits. It genuinely distressed

Dylan.

"Don’t be scared. I'm here."

Judith sobbed into his chest, crying until she's gasping for breath.

Dylan’s face was grim. While comforting her, he turned to Patric.

"What do you plan to do about Maja?”

It seemed she wouldn't give up easily.

He had already fallen out with Ian. Would he care about Ian's revenge?

Patric headed upstairs first, finding Wind’s body still in the room, blood splattered everywhere.

But Maja was clean. She had showered, changed her clothes, and deliberately avoided the bed,

heading instead for the window.

She sat on the couch by the window now, eerily calm.

Patric ordered the body to be removed and had the blood cleaned off from the floor, even disinfecting

the area.

Throughout this, Maja remained silent, either looking out the window or lowering her head.

Even though she couldn't see anything.

When the room was clean again, Patric stood by her, silently staring at her.

Maja knew someone was beside her, but she didn't ask who it was.

After a long while, Patric grabbed her throat.

"Did you kill him? Are you purposely trying to cause trouble for me?"

Maja couldn't move, only managing to breathe with difficulty.

Patric loosened his grip slightly, smirking coldly.

"Do you know that I went to the Raymond Corporation today and saw Ian? He had several meetings,

and it seems like he is flying to North America tonight. He doesn't seem affected by your situation at all.

It seems he doesn't really like you."

Hearing this, Maja felt relieved.

A good relationship should bring joy and romance, not hatred and resentment.

If Ian really signed that paper, then it was truly over between her and him.

Patric saw the glow on her face at the mention of Ian, and he felt uncomfortable, pushing her away.

Maja stumbled back onto the couch, hearing his icy voice, "Behave from now on. Otherwise, if Dylannovelbin

wants to kill you, it'd be a piece of cake."

Maja didn't respond.

As Patric opened the room door, he saw Dylan standing outside. Clearly, he wanted to see Maja.

Dylan brushed past him, quickening his pace when he saw Maja sitting inside.

He was not accustomed to laying his hands on women, so he just poured the water in his hand into

Maja's mouth.

Patric didn't intervene but asked, "What did you put in the water?"

Dylan’s face was grim, "A drug that will forever silence her."

Patric felt a surge of emotions. He couldn't pinpoint what it was, so he let it be.

"Do you know she's already blind? Are you planning to make her mute?"

Dylan paused. He wasn't aware.

But the deed was done.

"So what? No one is more important than my sister. Maja has to pay for her actions. And Wind was our

man, painstakingly trained by us. How could he die at her hands? She’s not worth it."
