Chapter 1254

After that incident, the woman was like a cockroach that wouldn't die. She was constantly appearing in

his line of sight, auditioning for every movie he was involved with, as if she had set her sights on him.

Tyler went from being annoyed to feeling completely bewildered.

The fact that she was pursuing him had become common knowledge in this industry. She never hid the

way she looked at him: her gaze was so intense that Tyler had never seen anything like it in his life.

In an unexpected turn of events, he gave her his phone number. As expected, she texted him day and

night. He rarely responded, but whenever he did, no matter how late it was, she would respond

immediately.

One time at 4 AM, he texted her as a joke, and she responded quickly.

[Tyler, I have special alerts set for your messages. No matter when you need me, I'll always be there.]

Her words made Tyler feel a twinge of guilt for his prank, but the feeling faded quickly, replaced by

disdain.

As a scriptwriter, he knew all the tricks women played. She was trying to boil him like a frog in slowly

heating water.

His attitude towards her worsened over time. Everyone knew she was his lapdog, and he often brought

it up in public. She never defended herself, as if her infatuation with him had stripped her of all dignity.

“Isn't that just how it is between men and women?" Tyler said. "I've slept with her a few times. She's

rather innocent, and she doesn't make a peep in bed. It’s quite interesting to train a plaything by

yourself. You should meet her sometime. She looks pure and has a quiet personality, but she knows

how to please me in bed."

Tyler's eyes crinkled as he spoke.

His delicate features, accentuated by the mole on the tip of his nose, made him look even more refined.

Fitch poured himself a drink, his tone carrying a note of warning.

"Playing around is fine, but don't get caught up in it. Remember Ian and Maja? In the beginning, he

treated her the same way, refusing to admit his feelings for her. In the end, he made a mess of things.

Love and affection are cheap, especially for people like us. Women are just dispensable assets.”

Tyler gave him a sideways glance.

"Are you trying to warn me? I've slept with plenty of women. I don't need your advice. What about you?

Those marks on your body, which stray cat did that?"

Fitch didn't feel like discussing that woman. So he fell silent, leaning back in his seat and quietly

sipping his drink.

The room fell silent as they waited for Ian to wake up.

Patric took Maja back to his place and carelessly handed her over to the housekeeper. He instructed

the bodyguards at the door.

"Watch her closely. If you can't even keep an eye on a blind woman, you might as well be dead."

It was clear he was furious. Anyone who upset him now was asking for trouble.

Patric tugged at his tie, kicked the coffee table, and was still fuming. He wanted to kill Maja.

He went to the bathroom and looked at his furious reflection in the mirror. For a moment, he thought his

face resembled Ian's.

Eric used to be gentle and it was hard to see the resemblance, but now that Patric had taken over his

body, they looked more alike.

Patric had a bad temper too, and was equally unpredictable.

He stared at his reflection and suddenly punched the mirror.

"Damn it!"

His fist was covered in blood, and his face was dark with anger.

The voice inside his head, the one that belonged to Eric, had disappeared. He had no idea when it

would resurface.

Patric was frustrated and sent all the items on the bathroom counter flying to the floor.

He took deep, ragged breaths, unsure whether he was angry about not becoming the CEO of the

Raymond Corporation, or because Maja was using him as a tool to prove her grand love story.

If it was the latter, it meant that when he had inherited Eric's memories, he had also inherited his

feelings.

That was not a good sign.novelbin
