Chapter 1225

Such formidable forces had mobilized, yet none had any news of Maja's whereabouts.

This clearly wasn't Maja running away of her own accord. Someone had taken her, and whoever it was,

they had a powerful force backing them.

Fitch shook his head, took the cigarette that was pinched between his fingertips and tossed it away.

"Quit it. If you keep smoking like this, you'll drop dead before we find her."

Ian roughly rubbed his face, stepping out of the car to continue the search.

But his vehicle had been driven all night, and mud was splattered all over its body.

The same was true for his pants; they were covered in mud.

The lofty CEO of the Raymond Corporation had seemingly vanished, replaced by a disheveled figure.

When Ian exited the car, he nearly toppled over, but thankfully Fitch was there to steady him.

Their search centered around Dylan's mansion, covering a diameter of sixty-two miles. How could they

not find her?

Where on Earth was Maja?

Was she dead?

The thought made Ian's heart feel as though it was being squeezed.

His eyes were bloodshot and the world seemed to spin around him.

Maja.

A flame of anger ignited within him and he sent out a message.

Ten minutes later, Dylan's mansion was leveled to the ground by ten large excavators.

Dylan himself was at the hospital with Judith and had yet to receive the news.

But the news was already spreading within their acquaintances. People had been discussing it

energetically, but upon seeing the state of Dylan's mansion, all discussion groups promptly disbanded.

Everyone was afraid that Ian, the madman, would turn his rage upon them next.

News of Maja's disappearance had spread, everyone knew.novelbin

For three full days, there was unrest.

Everywhere had been searched, but Maja seemed to have evaporated from the Earth.

Ian went from explosive anger, to calm and silence.

When Steve came to see him, he offered some words of comfort, but there was a hint of amusement in

his eyes.

He'd always thought of Maja as a well-known witch, flirting with every man she met, causing his two

sons to become enemies.

Caught in the middle, it had been difficult for him to make a move. Now that Maja had disappeared, it

was perfect. His two sons could go back to being friendly with each other.

Ian sat on the couch, staring at a pile of documents from the Raymond Corporation that had

accumulated over the past three days. He hadn't signed any of them.

It was as if his spirit had vanished along with Maja.

Seeing the documents, Steve took them.

"Ian, I'll have these sent to your brother. You haven't been to the Raymond Corporation for several

days, so he's temporarily handling the company's affairs. You should recover your spirits soon. Don't let

a woman make you so disheveled. Look at what people are saying about you."

Steve was usually a man of few words, but today he was feeling particularly chatty.

Ian's gaze remained fixed on the coffee mug on the table for quite some time before he finally spoke.

"Are you done?"

His voice was hoarse from disuse. When he looked up, his eyes were cold.

Steve's smile faded instantly, replaced by an awkward expression.

"I meant well."

Ian gave a cold laugh. "You can leave now."

It was the first time he had spoken to Steve in such a manner.

Taken aback, Steve left feeling uncomfortable and stifled.

Back in his car, he sighed heavily, unsure of how to deal with his youngest son.

As Ian's father, he was genuinely happy about Maja's disappearance.

He handed the documents in his hand to Patric, who had been waiting on the side.

"Eric, I've always felt that you were better suited to be the CEO of the Raymond Corporation. Ian is too

impulsive. This time he has thoroughly offended the Sanders family. I don't know how much trouble

we'll be in once Dylan regains his senses."

Word was that Judith had been in the hospital for three days, with Dylan and Beck refusing to leave her

side. They simply hadn't had time to retaliate against Ian yet.

As Patric skimmed through the documents, he secretly noted the projects the Raymond Corporation

was currently handling.

Now that Ian had completely lost the will to compete with him, he could seize control of the Raymond

Corporation during this period.
