Chapter 1220

As she spoke, her face was filled with smug satisfaction.

The one thing she prided herself on most in life was her status.

Because of it, she knew she could always rely on someone, no matter what she did.

She took out her phone and called Augus right in front of Dylan.

But Augus didn't pick up.

Dylan tried to comfort her, "Maybe he's just busy."

Judith looked a bit crestfallen, "Has dad even called to ask about me since I got sick?"novelbin

Dylan thought about it and realized it was true.

In the past, Judith was a pampered princess in the Sanders family. Anytime she was out of sight, they

would always be worried sick.

But this time, Judith had been in Greenfield for quite a while and her father hadn't even bothered to

call. The last time he called was due to the drug Linda took.

"Judith, you need to apologize to father, return to North America, and stop any contact with Linda."

"I know, you've told me before."

Judith lowered her head, seeing Dylan still there made her anxious. She was eager to deal with Maja.

Dylan, however, only sat near the table.

"You should rest."

Judith couldn't make it too obvious, so she kept texting Wind, asking if the video was ready yet.

After three unanswered messages, Judith started to worry. She wanted to go check on things herself,

but Dylan was still there.

Wind was now driving to Greenfield Gardens. When he left the basement, he purposefully didn't lock

the door. If Maja checked the door herself, she should be able to escape.

Upon arriving at Greenfield Gardens, he pondered how he could get information about Judith's origin

from Ian.

He wasn't sure if what Maja had said was true or false, so he didn't tell Ian about Maja's situation yet.

Meanwhile, Maja slowly got up after Wind left.

She groped her way to the door and found it wasn't locked from the outside.

She quickly climbed the staircase, but due to the lingering effects of the drugs and a throbbing pain in

the back of her head, she felt dizzy.

But she had to hold on.

At the top of the stairs, she bent down to pick up a stone.

The stone was only as big as the palm of her hand, with sharp edges.

She slashed her leg harshly with the stone, and blood gushed out instantly.

The intense pain made her lucid a bit. She shook her head to recover herself and was about to limp

away in a different direction.

But a shadow suddenly loomed behind her, and a flower pot was smashed onto her.

With great effort, she turned around and saw Judith's snarling face.

"Die, you bitch!"

Maja collapsed to the ground.

Judith, irate, kicked her back into the dark staircase.

She intended to drag Maja back to the basement, but Dylan's voice echoed from behind.

"What was that noise just now?"

Judith was startled. If Dylan moved five more steps forward, he would see Maja lying in the dark

corridor.

She quickly turned around and grabbed Dylan's arm.

"Just a flower pot falling over. Dylan, let's go. I'm really a bit hungry."

Dylan had been reluctant to leave her room, so she took the initiative to say she needed to walk

around.

After all, she was staying in Dylan's villa. Considering Dylan had just reminded her to apologize to her

father, she knew he would be angry if he found out she was torturing Maja here.

Luckily, she had kicked Maja away and hit her on the head with a flower pot. She didn't believe that

wretch could still be alive.

Judith was extremely pleased with herself.

The entrance to the basement was discreet, so no one would find out.

She wondered what happened to Wind. He was supposed to be guarding Maja and filming her.

She almost managed to escape, but luckily Judith showed up in time.

A smile curled up on Judith's lips. Thinking of how she had the Sanders family as her backing, and how

Maja was now lying in the dark corridor covered in blood, she felt extremely satisfied.

Indeed, some people were just destined to be worlds apart from birth.
