Chapter 316

He slowly picked up the tissue beside him, wiping the blood off his palm.

“I’ve been in meetings all night; I’m a bit knackered.”

Tyler chuckled softly, “I heard you started your meeting pretty early last night, is the company thatbusy? Even if you’re angry, you shouldn’t neglect your health like that.”

“I’ll keep that in mind next time.”

lan regained his composure and walked over to call Fitch.

Fitch wasn’t on the first floor.

“lan.”

“Fitch, delete all the records from last night.”

Fitch was taken aback, not knowing why he was asked to delete the records.

But he didn’t ask for specifics; he simply replied, “Okay.”

After hanging up, lan glanced in the distance. Maja was about to get in someone else’s car and leave.novelbin

That’s when Carlene Shepard came over to lan. “Ian, everyone’s leaving, let’s go.”

lan nodded, heading for his car without any hesitation.

Carlene got in the car with him. Seeing Maja didn’t come over, she smirked slightly.

“Penny said last night that she’d come if we invited her to our wedding. Greenfield Gardens should berenovated by then, so let’s invite her, okay?” Mentioning her made lan feel a bit annoyed. But hecontrolled his emotions well, so it didn’t show on his face.

“You decide.” In other words, if you want to invite her, just go ahead.

A wave of joy washed over Carlene’s face. From the moment lan handed her the glass of milk, she feltpretty smug. Too bad she couldn’t ruin Penny’s reputation today and instead caused Dana to lose hers.

She’d have to smooth things over with Dana when she got home. Once she married into the Raymondfamily, Dana would benefit too.

In another car.

This time, Connie Raymond had her own driver.

She and Maja were sitting in the backseat. As soon as Maja got in the car, she started apologizing toConnie.

“Connie, I’m really sorry. I was planning to have seafood with you last night, but I just fell asleep assoon as I got home. I think I might have caught a cold after Samuel Brown threw me into the pool.”

Connie didn’t feel like a child anymore, especially after witnessing what she and lan did last night.

But since Maja kept it a secret from her, it seemed that her thing with lan was just about satisfying theirdesires.

Connie held lan in high regard, considering him an outstanding individual who consistently performedat his best. His three–year stint in Silicon Valley and Wall Street had earned him a reputation forexcellence, which was likely why he was chosen as Holden Raymond’s successor.

Besides Carlene, he didn’t have any other girlfriends and was relatively clean–cut compared to otherplayboys. However, she was surprised when he became romantically involved with the designer he hadhired.

“Penny, when did you and lan start?”

Connie was asking when they started getting involved. He was such a good–looking guy. Penny hadreally hit the jackpot.

However, Penny was also incredibly beautiful, highly skilled in painting. She thought lan wasn’t at aloss either.

It would be great if their relationship could develop into an official one.

However, Maja seemed to misunderstand her question, thinking she was asking when they started tocollaborate in business.

“It was shortly after Mr. Raymond returned to the country.”

So you guys started that early…”

“Yes, the situation was rather urgent at the time, and I sought him out several times.”

Connie was surprised. She thought Maja would be more reserved but didn’t expect her to be sodetailed.

Growing up in the Raymond family, even though Connie never had a sex education teacher, there werepeople in the wealthy circle who specifically taught about sexual knowledge.

Connie often went abroad for competitions, so she was more open–minded about this.

However, the person who had a relationship with Penny was lan, someone she thought was out of herreach, so she felt a bit awkward at the

moment.
