Chapter 1192

lan remained silent, his fingers unconsciously curling, before he disentangled himself from her embraceand went to dress.novelbin

lan, are you upset?”

She had drifted off to sleep not too long after they had started last night. He must feel not good.

“No, Maja, I’m going to the Raymond Corporation.”

He had finished freshening up and was now standing at the door, “You should get some rest.”

Maja was still in her nightgown, her neck marked by his excited bites.

Before she could say something, lan had already left.

Maja sighed softly, rubbing between her brows; she had no idea what was wrong this time.

As lan left the living room, Coco sprang up from nearby, aiming to bite the hem of his pants.

But upon meeting his gaze, Coco carefully stood aside, wagging its tail slightly.

lan’s gaze deepened, as he stared at the dog for a few seconds before heading out.

Coco kept following him from a short distance, only daring to wag its tail lightly, unlike the way shewould rush at Maja.

It wasn’t until lan had left through the main gate that Coco stood loyally at the iron gate, whimpering afew times.

lan hadn’t slept last night, his head throbbing painfully.

He drove to the office. As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, he saw Eric.

This was the first time he had run into Eric in the company.

He wasn’t worried about anyone turning on him in the upper management. After all, they were hispeople now. But the Raymond family all supported Eric, and now many members of the Raymondfamily stood behind Eric, including Maureen Raymond and Ryan.

Ryan had been forced to come, and on seeing lan, he shrunk back guiltily.

Maureen had offended lan during lan’s last fight with Dennis. Worried about her future position in theRaymond Corporation, and with no shares left in her hands, she rushed to curry favor with Eric whenshe heard he was back, hoping Eric would reclaim the presidency of the Raymond Corporation.

Little did she know, Eric was not the same person he once was.

Patric exchanged a look with lan, raising an eyebrow before chuckling lightly.

“lan, you’re back?”

lan glanced at him and walked into his own office.

Maureen hastily explained to Eric, “lan’s temper is just as unpredictable as before, and he doesn’t liketo communicate with us!

“Mom.”

Ryan tried to intervene, his face clearly disapproving. Ever since Maureen had lost the last fight, hermentality had been off.

Maureen shot him a glare, patting Patric’s shoulder lightly.

“Eric, everyone wants you back. You are the perfect heir.”

Her voice was loud enough for everyone on the top floor to hear.

Everyone’s faces were a mixture of emotions, but no one said anything. After all, Maureen was amember of the Raymond family.

Ryan felt a burning shame, “Mom!”

He even felt humiliated because lan had not borne any grudges against them for the last incident andhad treated him the same as before.

But Maureen was stuck in the past, always feeling that lan would retaliate and expel her from theRaymond family.

She had made lan her imaginary enemy, and recently even contacted Edith.

With Holden’s decease, Edith was now the eldest member of the Raymond family.

Edith had been sent away before, but now Maureen was encouraging her to return, which wouldincrease Eric’s chances of success.

Ryan couldn’t stand it anymore and entered lan’s office, not caring if it would offend Eric.

lan was already seated in his office chair, casually flipping through documents.

Seeing him like this, Ryan feit even worse.

He knew how biased the Raymond family was lan had accomplished so much, yet the moment Ericreturned, all eyes were on him.

“Ian”

He called out carefully, feeling terribly distressed People have feelings. How could lan not be hurt?

He had just learned to hide his emotions.

Ryan, a few years younger than lan, had seen lan and Eric preparing gifts for Grandma Edith whenthey were children.

When Grandma Edith received Eric’s gift, her face lit up with joy

She immediately called everyone to come and see, starting to praise him from the moment sheunwrapped the gift.

But when she received lan’s gift, Grandma Edith barely smiled, just pulling at her lips and calling for thehousekeeper.

“Put it away.”

Ryan was too young at the time, but he saw how lan stared at the rejected gift, the light in his eyesdimming momentarily.
