Cheryl was just about to chase after Daphne when Jack’s voice came from behind her. “Cheryl,

ducked her head and followed behind him.
The corridor felt like it stretched on for
ages.
Cheryl thought about how she had seen Daphne outside. It was the best topic to use to break this
silence between them.
“When I came in, I saw Daphne.”
Jack paused in his steps. “You’re sure you’re not mistaken?”
“Yeah. I bumped into her accidentally. Also, there was a man next to her. I wonder if he’s the president
of SY Group that everyone talks about.”
“That’s not possible!” Jack denied it immediatly.
It was only after he did that he realized how strange he sounded. He quickly waved a hand and
explained, “What I mean is that the president of SY Group must be so busy. How could he show up
here? He… should be overseas, right?”
Cheryl stroked her chin. “I don’t think that man was the president of SY Group, either. He doesn’t have

Jack’s friends.
Jack was so oblivious most of the time. She had never assumed that he would be more excited
than her.

As Cheryl’s imagination went wild, the door of the private room was pushed open. A man even
more built than Jack stood in the doorway.
“You are…”
“This is my friend,” Jack said as he squeezed through the seam of the door.
When Cheryl stood next to Jack, he always seemed very solid and sturdy. Next to his friend, he
suddenly seemed petite.
“Antonio,” Jack introduced as he looked up at his friend.
Cheryl finally managed to calm herself down after the initial shock of seeing the man. She smiled
at Antonio and said, “Hello.”
At the same time, she found out just how tiring it was to talk to someone so tall. She couldn’t help

“Antonio used to be a boxer like me, but he retired a few years ago…” Jack started to ramble about
Antonio to Cheryl after had ordered their food.
However, Cheryl wasn’t interested in any of it at all. She would much rather listen to Jack’s own

But since Jack was so excited, she just couldn’t bear to cut him off. She patiently listened to the whole
spiel.
When she finally managed to get to the end of Jack’s tale, she was going to ask him to talk about
himself when Jack said, “Cheryl, why don’t you talk about yourself?”
