support of her parents. She knew that Marietta would praise her for her taste when she met Kirk.

Seeing Caroline duck her head, Kirk felt a twist in his heart. He blurted out, “You want me to meet

Marietta?”

Caroline ran out of the bathroom and threw her arms around Kirk’s neck. “Honey, how are you so

great?”

Kirk’s voice went husky. “Darling, are you doing this on purpose?”

Yesterday, she had already gotten a small little surprise at the store.

In the past, the clothes she had worn either made her look dowdy or childish. However, this dress

brought out the inner version of her without limit, making her look less plain.

Joyfully, Cheryl changed into the outfit and looked at herself shyly in the mirror. Her cheeks were

heating up. She wondered how Jack would react when he saw her like this.

She waited and waited. Finally, night came.
