Caroline shivered in her sleep and opened her eyes, only to find that it was still dark outside.
“What’s wrong?” Kirk asked. He opened his eyes immediately after Caroline did.

number.
“When are you free to visit Grandpa?”
Caroline frowned. It took her a while to realize that this number was probably Eddy’s. Resisting the
urge to block him, Caroline asked, “Eddy?”
The sender quickly replied, “Yes.”
Caroline pondered for a while and asked Kirk, “I plan to find some time to visit Grandpa in the next few
days. Do you want to come with me?”
Although she hated the Morrisons, Jude was the one person she didn’t hate and was very grateful
for.
Kirk’s brows furrowed almost imperceptibly at her words. “Why do you want to visit him all of a
sudden?”
