Chatper 1867

At this moment, Cinna took out a black cloth inside the moving SUV. Then, he handed it over to Julius with a smile. ” GrandGeneral Rhys, it'll be a long journey. Please close your eyes and rest.

“What? What do you mean?” Julius furrowed his eyebrows.

“This is our rules. Any outsides that come to our base must be blindfolded just in case,” Cinna explained.

“What? Do you not trust me?” Julius pretended to be discontented.

“Don’t misunderstand. Everyone will be treated the same way. Please understand.” Cinna did not back down.

“Alright. Go ahead. | just happened to be tired, so I’m going to lie down and rest.” Julius didn’t want to waste any time. Thus, he closed his eyes, shifted comfortably, and lay in the car.

“Thank you for your cooperation.” Cinna smiled and blindfolded him.

Time was slowly going by.

The car initially traveled smoothly. However, the road became winding almost an hour later. The car’s rockiness could cause aperson to feel sleepy.

“General Shaffer, are we out of the city? “Julius suddenly asked. Cinna didn’t plan to hide. “That's right. The base is outside thecity for our safety. Although it’s a far journey, it’s quite hidden.”

“| didn’t expect Dragon Guard to be so cautious,” Julius commented.

“It doesn’t hurt to be more careful. Please hold on for a little longer. We'll be here soon,” Cinna replied with a smile. The carcontinued its journey as the duo chatted.

Around half an hour later, the car finally stopped.Cinna finally untied the black cloth on Julius’ face.

When Julius got out of the car, he found himself in a deep mountain. There were towering mountains on all sides that resembledgiant beasts. When Julius stood in the valley, Julius felt as tiny as an ant.

“That’s...” Julius’ gaze swept into the distance and was quickly drawn by the scene ahead.

A hundred feet away from him, there was a wall several feet high. The wall was made from reinforced concrete, causing it to betall and thick. Even artillery wouldn’t be able to penetrate it.novelbin

On top of the wall, there were dozens of watchtowers and rows of modernized firearms. Everything, such as cannons, anti-aircraft guns, and heavy machine guns, was present.

Its defense was so tight that it resembled a war fortress. As the wall was situated in the middle of the valley, it was strategicallypositioned. Even a massive army wouldn't be able to conquer it. At this moment, Julius finally understood how powerful theDragon Guard was.

Dragon Guard had built such a war fortress at the border of West Lucozia with many heavy weapons. Plus, nobody had evenfound out about it after so many years. It was truly a scary sight.

If Julius hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed that Dragon Guard had established such deep roots in WestLucozia.

“Grand General Rhys, please come with me,” Cinna called out before leading Julius forward. Upon reaching the wall anddeclaring their identities, the thick door slowly opened.

After taking a closer look, Julius found the tunnel behind the door about 30 feet long. In other words, the foundation wall’sthickness was about 30 feet wide.

Even missiles might not be able to penetrate it, not to mention artillery shells.
