Chapter 549 Assume the Post

With the arrival of a new day, Topyuan Group ushered in an important moment.

After careful preparation, Victoria worked out the vision of Topyuan Group, and accepted the position

as the president.

Maximilian once asked Wilfred to recruit a group of talented executives through headhunters to enrich

the management team in Topyuan Group.

Maximilian and Victoria went to Topyuan Group to meet with the management team of the company.

Reggie, the newly hired senior vice president of Topyuan Group, led a few senior executives to stand at

the door of the company, waiting for the mysterious chairman of the group to arrive.

Canaan drove the Benz and stopped at the entrance of the building. Reggie came over and opened the

back door of the car.

Maximilian got out of the car first and shook hands with Reggie.

“I’m impressed by your reputation, Reggie. In the future, my wife will work in the Topyuan Group and I

hope you will try your best to help her.” Maximilian said with a smile.

Reggie said seriously, “I will do my best.”

Reggie was very good at running companies. He once put two pharmaceutical companies on the verge

of bankruptcy into prosperous business.

But Reggie was also very unfortunate. He was kicked out after his mission was achieved. When he

helped those enterprises reverse the failure, his post was taken over by the bosses for various

reasons, as they worried that he would develop his own power and become a hidden danger.

He was unwilling to give up, and finally seized the opportunity when Topyuan Group offered him an

olive branch.

He was nearly 50 years old, and wanted to prove himself again that his former bosses were wrong.

As long as they gave him the full trust, he could repay them more.

“As long as you can delegate power to me, I will do my best.”

Maximilian said with a smile, “I won’t interfere in the company’s affairs. You and Victoria will discuss

about it. I think as long as it’s appropriate, she will certainly give you the corresponding power.”

Reggie looked at Victoria standing next to Maximilian, and thought, ‘This woman is really beautiful, but

is such a beautiful woman capable of running such a big company?’

In Reggie’s business career, he had seen many powerful women, but none of them were young.

The president Victoria was so young and beautiful that he was worried about his future work in the

company.

He hesitated for a moment, then came up to Maximilian’s ear and whispered, “Mr. Lee, are you

kidding? Are you going to give her such a big company as a toy?”

“I’m not kidding. Topyuan Group is not a toy. As long as you work hard, it will become a platform for you

to realize your ambition.”

Reggie gave a wry smile and held back his dissatisfaction.

‘Since Mr. Lee has said that, I’ll try to work here for a period of time. If it is really unpleasant to work

here, I’ll resign at any time.’ he thought.

Victoria looked at Reggie bewildered and wanted to know what he said to Maximilian in such a

mysterious manner.

However, in front of him, it was improper to ask in detail. She can only bear the curiosity in her heart.

“Let’s go to the conference room. Today is my first time to meet you. I’ll talk with you later.” Maximilian

said, holding Victoria’s hand, and went to the conference room.

Reggie and the others followed them. Many executives were murmuring at the moment.

Before they came, they only knew that Topyuan Group was a newly established group with mysterious

background. But no one thought that the president of this company would be a beautiful young woman.

Everyone was happy to see beauty. After all, everyone loved beauty. But her age made these

experienced business veterans uneasy.

Youth meant she had no experience and she might make serious mistakes at any time. It’s hard to

assist such a boss.

“The president is too young. I’m afraid it’s not suitable for her to take such a high position at such

young age.”

“Not to mention the president, Mr. Lee is young as well. I think he’s just trying to please his wife. We’re

just extras.”

“I come to this company for better personal development. I used to be the department manager of a top

500 company in the world. I don’t come here to be an ornament.”

Executives were whispering. Because of Victoria and Maximilian’s ages, these executives became

uneasy.

Victoria frowned slightly. Although they talked in a low voice, some words floated into her ears.

Maximilian noticed the small change of her. He gently squeezed her hand, and then showed a smile to

encourage her.

“Don’t worry. I think you can change their prejudice against you with your ability. I believe in you.”

She was full of vitality and nodded with a smile.

After they two sat down, Reggie and the group of executives sat at both sides of them.

“Mr. Lee, president Griffith, I have discussed the development plan of Topyuan Group with the team

these days. Please let me report it to you.” Reggie said and took out a thick folder.

Maximilian looked at Victoria and let her host the meeting. This time Maximilian came to support

Victoria, and the main character should be her.

Victoria showed a polite smile, “Please talk about your plan.”

“OK, Topyuan Group is in the pharmaceutical industry, but the problem is that we have not yet selected

the main product, generic medicines or patent medicines?”

“We certainly can’t develop anything from the beginning, because the research and developmentnovelbin

(R&D) Department has not yet been established, and the R&D of drugs is very time-consuming and

expensive, so our products can only be limited to generic drugs and Chinese patent medicines.”

Reggie said a lot. Generally speaking, he chose several kinds of drugs as the main products, then

produced them, advertised them, and won market share.

It seemed that there’s nothing unique about it. It was the approach adopted by most pharmaceutical

companies.

Drugs without too much technical requirements would be the best choice. It occupied the minds of

consumers through bombardment of advertising to obtain a lot of profits.

Victoria frowned tightly. Such a way of development was not what she wanted. She wanted to make

good medicine that can benefit the majority of patients.
