Chapter 303 Because of You?
Frankie, who was begging Maximilian for mercy, heard the head of the police’s words and froze.
Frankie assumed that Maximilian was behind all this, but how come a Mr. Eduard had popped up in the
end? Frankie was confused by what the head of the police said.
Maximilian glanced at the head of the police with satisfaction. He had gestured for the guards of
Dragon Sect to arrange the presence of the police force.
From wiping out Frankie’s power in Geekoo, to the timing of the police’s appearance, everything was
well arranged by the guards of Dragon Sect.
Seeing Maximilian’s satisfied look, the head of the police got excited immediately, feeling that he was
not far away from getting a promotion and pay rise.
Frankie and his people were taken away by the police, while Maximilian was checking on Marcus and
Laura with Victoria.
Eduard, who had been in a daze, came to his sense due to the pain brought by the gunshot wound. He
wiped away the tears and said to the head of the police, "Thank you for saving me. Could you please
send my mom and me to hospital first?"
The head of the police said with a smile, "No, you have to go back with us for the investigation. This is
also a kind of protection to you."
Eduard turned pale at once. He pointed at his wound and said, "I was shot. I have a gunshot wound!"
"Officer, you must have my son’s wound treated and send him to hospital first, or I’ll complain about
you!" Jennifer roared in anger.
Maximilian and Victoria helped Marcus and Laura up. Both of them were so scared that they felt weak
in the legs and were unable to speak.
Connor helped Marcus up and said, "Get in my car. I will send you to hospital for a check-up."
Maximilian nodded and left the private chamber with his family.
Eduard was flustered. Somehow, he found something went wrong. He pointed at Maximilian’s back and
said, "How come they are allowed to leave?"
"Well, do you really think this is all because of you? Do you think you can do anything because you
have money? The reason I said that was because it was what Mr. Lee required."
The head of the police said, waving his hand and left with his team.
Eduard’s face flushed with anger, a burning sensation on his cheeks. The head of the police had just
humiliated him on behalf of Maximilian by saying those words. But how could the police have taken
sides with Maximilian? Wasn’t that guy just a loser?
"Come back! You must send my son to hospital! You fucking bastards!" Jennifer cursed with rage.
"Mom, stop yelling. I swear to take our revenge on them!" Eduard growled.
"Of course, we will take our revenge on them. I will call 911 right now. Hold on. We will have your
wound treated in the hospital first."
Showing no shrewdness any more, Jennifer was thrown into a panic because of her son’s wound.
After making an emergency call, Jennifer calmed down gradually. "What did that police officer mean by
his remark? That they were all arranged by Maximilian?"
"It must be. A dumb dog is dangerous. Maximilian is a sinister one, and we have underestimated him
this time!"
Eduard felt that he was too careless. It was because Maximilian was so insidious that they had been
insulted today.
The penetrating sound of the ambulance siren came through. Soon, the doctor and nurses rushed
inside. When Eduard was moved onto the stretcher, they got into the ambulance in haste and the
vehicle dashed towards the hospital.
Both Marcus and Laura had gone through check-ups in the hospital. It turned out that they were only
too frightened and that there was no other problem.
Connor left after he sent the Griffith family back. Sitting feebly on the sofa, Marcus and Laura stared at
Maximilian in confusion.
They were astonished at what Maximilian had done. However, the police had said that they came for
Eduard while rushing in, so Marcus and Laura were not that astonished.
"Maximilian, what’s going on today? Was it you who offended that Frankie?" Marcus asked in a hoarsenovelbin
voice.
"Dad, it’s because of what happened in Geekoo. Frankie wanted to get me for Leon, and Connor
helped Maximilian stop them. This is how the feud started." Victoria answered on behalf of Maximilian.
Marcus frowned, sighing and said, "What a troublemake! Are the problems with Geekoo over yet? Who
else have you offended, loser?"
Victoria was stunned. She thought to herself, since Frankie and Leon had recently suffered a setback,
problems should have been over already. However, Victoria was a little anxious. What if those guys
were like roaches and made a comeback?
Victoria got more and more worried while thinking with her gaze fell upon Maximilian.
Maximilian smiled and said, "They are all settled. No more problems."
"Humph!" Marcus snorted, "It would be best if they are all settled. If not, tell us as soon as possible so I
can swallow my pride and seek help from Samuel. Otherwise, you will leave me too little time to ask for
help!"
"No, it won’t happen again." Maximilian said with certainty.
Frankie’s power had been rooted out, while Leon had scurried off. Presumably, those real estate circles
in Geekoo were shocked at this moment, so how dared they stir up trouble again?
Just like what Maximilian assumed, the real estate families of Geekoo gathered together, trying to
figure out a way to deal with the emergency situation.
Dejected, Zakariya and the others were sitting in the wheelchairs. The elders in the families had
scolded them for a long time, and they had no more tears to shed after numerous rounds of scolding.
"You bastards! Are you blind? Can’t you tell who you can offend or who you cannot? Both Wyatt from
Geekoo and Connor from H City have intervened personally, and you still dared to offend Maximilian.

"Frankie is totally screwed. He was caught in H City. It’s said that he was provided with much
information, including some inside scoop on us. Leon was caught on his way. He has more inside
information on us. We must apologize to him with sincerity."
Masters from other families nodded hard, believing that Corey was right. If they didn’t take the initiative
to make an apology, they might be doomed soon.
"We need to find someone to act as the mediator, so we can make amends by inviting them to dinner. I
think Wyatt is the right person, as well as Connor in H City."
"There’s no problem finding a mediator. The point is how to make amends. I don’t think an ordinary
apology is enough. We need to find out what that Mr. Lee wants and cater to his pleasure."
