Chapter 979

"Perhaps, we can find something interesting behind this painting." Joyce spread her hands, "The most

traditional way may work the best for a man like him."

"Haha."

Karl smiled. The appreciation in his eyes was undisguised, and his eyes were glittering, "Joyce, you

are just as smart as ever. You knew everything. Your analysis is just correct."

Juanita could see the admiration in Karl's eyes and she looked slightly dull.

"Hey, I'm so stupid and not as smart as Joyce," she sighed.

Joyce was so good, and she could not be even as good as she was in any way.

When she thought about it, she couldn't help but feel sad.

"Little fool, everyone is just special, so are you. You don’t have to be like anyone else." Karl noticed the

change in her and patted her shoulder gently to comfort her.

"Is that so?" She raised her head slightly and looked at him with love in her eyes.

She had admiring him all the time, and she was always afraid that, he might think she never deserved

him.

After all, with Joyce right in front of them, she was really just an ugly duckling.

"Of course." The person who said it was none other than Joyce.

"There is an ineffable affinity in you and everyone cannot help but want to be close to you. Your smile is

gentle and bright and has a magical healing power. Once upon a time, I was rather withdrawn and hadnovelbin

few friends, but your presence warmed my frozen heart. With you, everything's so natural and

comfortable. This is something that no one else can do." Joyce smiled blandly and looked at Juanita

with gratitude.

"Yes. You are just like a light that can light up everyone’s life." Karl gazed at her and said seriously, "For

me, too."

During the most toughest days, she had always been like a light that illuminated his heart from afar, but

had the good sense not to come too close or ask him for anything in return. He felt touched inside.

For four years, her silent dedication had been in his heart.

He gently covered the back of her hand and gently asked, "Your luggage’s all at my house. Where are

you staying these days?"

"Ah, I am ... That was ..."

Juanita was immediately embarrassed, and her cheeks could not help but blush.

"Starting tonight, you can stay at my place." He was quite straightforward, looking at her

compassionately.

Juanita was even more embarrassed. She felt her face burning all the way up to her ears. She looked

at Joyce awkwardly and had no idea what to do.

Why did Karl suddenly talk about it!? What should she even say!?

Joyce laughed and looked at Juanita in amusement, "Since Commissioner Karl has asked for it, why

do you refuse him? What are you embarrassed about?"

"No, I didn’t … It was my parents who had all my stuff ..."

Juanita stammered, but could not finish her sentence. After all, what parents would have to force their

daughters to live with a man when they were not even married?

"Right now, Mr. Clark has had his eyes on you, and you'd better just stay at Mr. Gregory's house so I

can rest assured."

Joyce gave Juanita a way out as she stood up and grabbed her bag.

"It's late, and I should go back to stay with Anderson. About Mr. Clark, if you need anything or if you

need me to do anything, just let me know."

"Hmm. We still need a plan. Might be missing a hacker." Karl said.

"I can find you one. Kane can help you, and he is one of us." Joyce said.

"That's good then. After everything’s ready, I will let you know." Karl smiled.
