Chapter 1986: Shooting Game

Chapter 1986: Shooting Game

When Joyce finished her snacks and came into the living room, Anderson and Alisha had justfinished showering and were sitting on the sofa. Luther sat next to Alisha, holding a small wirelesshairdryer and a dry towel, gently drying her hair and blowing it dry. As he did so, he tenderly rubbedher scalp, his eyes filled with affection.

From a distance, Joyce couldn't help but feel that Luther's care for Alisha was especiallymeticulous, perhaps out of a sense of guilt. Alisha was the most unfortunate and troubled childamong them, and she always seemed to tug at people's heartstrings. Even Joyce herself couldn'thelp but give Alisha more care.

After a short while, Luther finished drying Alisha's hair and placed the wireless hairdryer on thecoffee table, then let Alisha sit on his lap. "Alright, my little princess, what do you want to do beforebed? Do you want me to tell you a story?"

Alisha shook her head. "I don't want to hear a story. I want to watch my brother play games."

Anderson looked up. "What game do you want to watch me play?"

Alisha pointed to Anderson's phone. "That shooting game, I've seen you play it a few times. I thinkit's really interesting."

Anderson was initially taken aback and asked, "You mean, PUBG?"

"Yeah," Alisha nodded vigorously, her bright eyes filled with anticipation. "Can I?"

"Okay," Anderson opened the shooting game on his phone and mumbled, "You're strange. I playmany games, why do you like this one in particular? And I even downloaded many small games on

your phone - farming games, bubble popping, designing sweet houses, even playing dress-up, whydon't you play those?"

"It gets boring after one or two times," Alisha pouted. "I want to play this. Please?"

"Alright, I've opened it," Anderson relented and entered the team mode of the shooting game.

At that moment, Joyce glanced at Luther, her look implying surprise that Alisha liked competitivegames like this. Luther shrugged, indicating that it was news to him as well.

As Anderson began to play, Alisha became increasingly excited, dancing and even directingAnderson as he played.

"Your rank is so low, brother," she exclaimed.

"And my ace rank is low!" Anderson said incredulously.

"I know the ace rank is divided into stars, and there's even an invincible god of war rank. Can't youreach that?" Alisha questioned.

"I don't have time to play this game all day. Reaching the invincible god of war rank takes a lot oftime," Anderson raised his voice. "I'm not good enough at it yet."

"Why don't you play solo squads, then?" Alisha quipped.

Now frustrated, Anderson glared at Alisha. "The difficulty level has gone up a lot now, everyone'sskill level is higher. Even the pros have their off days. Without teammates, who will save you? Canyou be quiet and watch? You're distracting me. If I die later, it's on you for distracting me."

"Okay," Alisha nodded. Suddenly, her eyes lit up. "Hurry, brother! There's someone in the northwestcorner. Be careful, there's someone on the rooftop across from you!"

When Anderson turned his attention back to the game, it was too late. He killed the person in thenorthwest corner, but was shot by the sniper on the rooftop.

As he turned into a crate, it was game over.

"It's all your fault for talking to me," Anderson lamented.

"I'm sorry. Let's play another round," Alisha stuck her tongue out.

"You're a girl, why do you like watching violent games?" Anderson asked in confusion.

"I saw many female players in the game?" Alisha retorted. "Your teammates were even twowomen."

Speechless, Anderson handed his phone to Alisha. "Since you always like to give pointers and thinkI'm not good enough, play it yourself."

"Can I?" Alisha's eyes sparkled as she looked at Anderson. "But I'm not familiar with some of thebuttons. Can you explain them to me?"

"Sure," Anderson took a deep breath and patiently explained to Alisha about how to use firearmsand drive vehicles, as well as the basics and operations of various buttons. In fact, this game wasnot suitable for their age group, as it required agile finger movements. Their hands were not fullydeveloped, making it difficult to play perfectly. But Alisha was very interested and learned quickly.

Anderson even played with Alisha in the training ground for a while.

At this time, Luther downloaded the latest version of the shooting game on Alisha's own phone andregistered an account for her.

He handed the phone to Alisha. "Use your own account, I've downloaded it for you."

Unexpectedly, Alisha refused. "I don't want to. I know new accounts start off very easy. Especially atlow ranks, they're all AI opponents, it's boring. I want to use my brother's ace account to play."

Luther was at a loss. "You're still young, it's better to start from the lowest level. Learn the skillsgradually, is that not good?"

"It's not good," Alisha shook her head, as stubborn as ever. "It's not fun."

Luther sighed in disbelief.

Joyce smiled, pushing Luther. "Let her be."

Joyce had played this game before, a few years ago when she played with some employees fromthe company. Now remembering those youthful days with Yu Yi and Zhang Wei, she felt quitehappy. She hadn't played in many years, and if she did, she would be rusty, but her skill levelwouldn't be bad.

Alisha took the phone from Anderson and started a new round, playing solo squads. This time sheplayed by herself.

Anderson watched nervously, thinking that if there was any danger, he would remind Alisha in caseshe got killed early and became upset.novelbin

Luther and Joyce watched curiously from the sidelines, wondering how Alisha would play the gameby herself.

As the game began, Alisha focused on gathering supplies at first, and she quickly picked up all theequipment. Her keyboard skills were also very smooth. Along the way, she encountered one or twoAI opponents and quickly shot them, practicing her skills.
