Chapter 629

Chapter 629 Clearing The Area

Gwendolyn observed the ongoing dispute between the two and sighed in resignation. “How about this?

Why don’t you two settle it with a fight? Whoever wins will have their viewpoint acknowledged and

followed.

A fight? No way.

Kieran sighed, shooting his sister a reproachful look. “I could never bring myself to bully her. All I can

do is submit defeat and let her beat me up!”

“Then you should just let her do so! After all, it was your fault for saying what you shouldn’t have. Just

let her hit you to vent her anger.”

Heeding his sister’s words, Kieran gracefully inclined his body and drew his face closer to Inez. “It was

my fault for upsetting you with my poor choice of words. If it helps you feel better, go ahead and hit

me.”

Inez looked at the handsome face mere inches away from hers, finding it hard to bring herself to hit

him. She hesitated for a moment, but the lingering frustration within her demanded some form of

release.

In the end, she pinched the man’s cheek indignantly and said, “You should really pay Mr. Jenson for

some lessons on emotional intelligence, Mr. Kieran, Inez suggested, her words carrying a subtle hint of

jest and exasperation.

“Understood,” he said submissively.

As Inez’s anger dissipated, she released her grip on his cheek.

A faint reddish mark lingered on his initially pale skin, surprising her and stirring a tinge of regret within

her.

“Does it hurt? I didn’t use much force, yet it turned red.

A grin tugged at the corner of Kieran’s lips as he stated, “It’s because my skin is rather delicate.”

Just as he was about to speak honestly and claim it didn’t hurt, Cedrick leaned in unexpectedly,

whispering

something into his ear. The words that had been on the tip of Kieran’s tongue were abruptly swallowed

back.

“It hurts, it really does,” he said instead.

Feeling sorry for the man, Inez tenderly caressed his cheek with the palm of her hand, offering a gentle

massage to alleviate his discomfort.

Kieran gripped her delicate hand, and following Cedrick’s guidance, bit the bullet and said. “The more

you rub, the redder it becomes. If you’re willing to give it a kiss, I’m sure the pain will vanish.” He tried

so hard to sound natural as she said that.

Inez was taken aback, her face instantly flushing red. In the presence of Gwendolyn and Cedrick, she

found it hard to display her affection. “There are people watching. It’s embarrassing,” she stammered.

feeling a sense of self-consciousness.

In response, Gwendolyn shook her head. “We didn’t see a thing

As Inez turned her head to listen to Gwendolyn, Kieran bent down once more, bringing his face closer

and silently requesting a kiss,

The fiery blush on his earlobes served as a testament to his inner shyness, hidden beneath a

seemingly confident exterior.

Unable to resist, Inez leaned in and swiftly planted a kiss on his face.

At that very moment, Cedrick enveloped his wife’s slender waist with his arm, boldly bringing his lips to

hers, sealing the moment with a passionate kiss,

Inez and Kieran did not see a thing since it happened simultaneously.

However, Gwendolyn’s heart raced faster as a result.

Being stolen a kiss like that… it’s quite exhilarating. Cedrick certainly knows how to make a move!

Behind them, there were plenty of attractive men and women in the pool.

The men’s eyes were fixed on Gwendolyn and Inez, while the women couldn’t help but admire Kieran

and Cedrick’s well-built physiques.

The gaze of the entire group remained fixated on them, unable to be diverted elsewhere as if

captivated by their presence.

Cedrick gathered the towel around Gwendolyn’s body, annoyed by the intrusive gazes around them,

“Gwenny, I don’t want those prying eyes to see your captivating allure in the water. Perhaps I should

clear the place out.”

Gwendolyn was momentarily taken aback. “This is Turlen, not Chanaea. It’s best not to be too arrogant.

If needed, we can always move to the smaller pool nearby, she suggested, offering a practical

alternative.

The man did not respond but merely fished out his phone and began composing a text message.

“What are you up to? Are you really planning to clear the area?”

As Gwendolyn leaned in to take a look, he had just hit the send button and locked his phone.

“I’m not even allowed to read the message?” Gwendolyn asked.

Wearing a tender smile on his countenance, Cedrick gracefully scooped the woman up and settled her

on a comfortable lounge chair.

He promptly requested a waiter to bring a refreshing glass of juice and a platter of freshly cut chilled

fruits. Taking a seat by her side, he attentively served her, tending to her every need.

“All you need to do is wait for ten minutes. It will be over before you know it, Gwenny, he assured her.novelbin

The man executed a graceful sequence of movements as if part of a choreographed dance,

His actions flowed with natural ease, leaving both Kieran and Inez momentarily speechless.

“Mr. Jenson is undoubtedly a seasoned expert in matters of the heart. Witnessing the proficiency with

which he dotes on his wife, it’s no wonder that Gwendolyn finds him irresistible. Few women in this

world can withstand the charm of such a remarkable and devoted husband,” Inez remarked.

Kieran discerned a hint of envy in her voice.

The indomitable spirit within the man compelled him to gently grasp Inez’s hand and affirm, “In due

time, you will also find yourself with a remarkable husband, possessing all the qualities of an

exceptional partner.”

Kieran guided her to a lounge chair, ensuring her comfort before assuming his position beside her. He

then delicately peeled grapes, mirroring Cedrick’s attentiveness to his beloved while occasionally

stealing glances at the other couple.

As Inez observed his clumsy yet earnest gestures, she was enraptured by the genuine sincerity with

which Kieran treated her. It was a moment that touched her deeply, and her heart brimmed with a

profound sense of appreciation and affection for the man beside her.

Indeed, he had resolved to learn how to properly pamper his significant other.

Seizing the opportunity while Kieran was focused on peeling the grapes, she leaned forward and

planted a gentle kiss on his forehead.

“Mr. Kieran, you know, I feel like… I can’t wait a whole year anymore. This trip has made me realize

that I want to…” Take our relationship to the next level when we return.

Kieran interrupted her before she could complete the rest of her sentence. His gaze fixed on her in

astonishment as he uttered righteously, “I’m sorry, but that’s not an option. We made a pact that I would

pursue you for a year, and I can’t back down now. It’s important for me to keep my word and show you

that I’m a man of integrity. The same goes for you. You promised me a chance, and I intend to honor

that.”

Inez’s enthusiasm was instantly deflated, and a look of frustration crossed her face.

“You…” Can’t you see the sincerity dripping from my words? Is it that difficult to consider advancing our

relationship Can’t we fast-track this relationship upgrade?

Alas, Kieran had misunderstood Inez’s intentions, thinking she was dissatisfied with his recent

performance and wouldn’t let him pursue her anymore, abandoning him altogether.

“A promise is a promise. You can’t go back on your word now, Inez. We agreed on a year of pursuit,

and not a day less. I intend to make the most of this time,” said the man.

Thereafter, he sheepishly extended the peel grape toward her, “It’s sweet. Why don’t you give it a try.

Inez?”

Inez felt a surge of exasperation as if her breath had been caught in her chest.

“No, thank you. Please go ahead and enjoy the grapes on your own, Mr. Kieran. Grapes are beneficial

for

the mind!”

Upon finishing her sentence, Inez brushed his hand away and turned around, pouting as she lay on the

lounge chair. With closed eyes, she feigned sleep, clearly expressing her displeasure.

“Inez?” Kieran looked puzzled but quickly sensed that something was amiss with her demeanor. “Why

are you upset? Is it because you don’t like grapes?”

The man’s obliviousness left her speechless.

In contrast to the awkward atmosphere between the two of them, Cedrick and Gwendolyn were in

perfect harmony.

However, after she swallowed the fifth piece of watermelon, Cedrick set the fruit platter aside, signaling

an end to their playful feeding ritual.

“Eating too much cold food isn’t good for the stomach. Let’s take a break from eating chilled foods,

Gwenny, and give your stomach some time to rest,” he said.

“All right. Hubby, do you happen to have any massage services available?”

Gwendolyn shifted her position, lazily resting on the lounge chair. She gracefully swept her long hair to

one side, exposing the beautiful curve of her back. It was a subtle indication, suggesting that Cedrick

could offer her a soothing back massage.

Cedrick’s gaze lingered on her, the desire burning in his eyes becoming more intense with each

passing

moment.

In this posture, her body was captivating, with every inch of her skin exuding an irresistible charm,

especially her beautifully sculpted backside.

The pool area ham’t been cleared yet. Why is she lying down already?

Cedrick frowned, almost tempted to give her a playful swat on her behind, just to remind her of the

boundaries of wearing a swimsuit in public.

Just as he was grinding his teeth in contemplation, Gwendolyn’s voice reached his ears. “Well? What

are you waiting for?”

“All right, all right. Here I come.”

In an instant, Cedrick snapped out of his wandering thoughts and discreetly grabbed a towel, carefully

covering Gwendolyn’s waist and below. He made sure to wrap her up securely before asserting with

confidence, “We wouldn’t want you catching a cold, Darling”

Confused, Gwendolyn felt the warmth radiating from the ground and shifted her gaze toward the

blazing sunset in the distance.
