Chapter 613

Grace went back inside the room and the children were awake already. After washing up, they waited

for breakfast.

Grace took the children to Alice's room and knocked on the door.

Soon, Alice came out.

The two sisters looked into each other's eyes. Grace saw that her sister's eyes were red and swollen

and she understood that this was the result from crying all night.

"This girl was serious."

"Aunt, why are your eyes red and swollen?" Little Gary spotted her immediately and looked at Alice

with concern.

Alice saw the child's keen insight and she felt very awkward. She explained to the little kid, "It's alright.

I'm fine so you can rest assured."

"Fine?" Little Gary did not believe it. His big eyes rolled for a long time. After a long while, he said, "Did

you have an argument with Uncle Charm last night?"

Alice immediately shook her head and said quickly, "No, I didn't have a quarrel with him. Don't talk

nonsense."

"But you..." Little Gary wanted to say something but was interrupted by Alice.

"Both you and Ernest are hungry, aren't you? I'm also hungry. Let's go and find something to eat."

As if she was escaping, she took Grace's arm and dragged her to the restaurant in front quickly.

Little Gary and Ernest followed them from behind.

The two little boys looked at each other.

Little Gary asked Ernest, "Ernest, what do you think?"

"Uncle Charm and Aunt must have quarreled, otherwise she wouldn't be crying. Aunt was such a

strong and optimistic person," Ernest analyzed. "Let's see if Uncle Charm is in a good mood or not

later."

"Alright." Little Gary nodded. "These adults are making us worried."

Ernest smiled and said, "I think it's quite good. They have different opinions. It's okay for them to

quarrel with each other as long as they make peace after."

Little Gary spread out his hands and did not say anything else.

Grace and Alice heard these words and they looked at each other.

Grace lowered her voice and asked Alice, "What the hell is going on with you guys?"

Alice said in a low voice, "Grace, I broke up with Jensen already. I don't want to continue like this. I

need to figure it out properly."

Grace was truly shocked by her swift and forceful actions. "You've made up your mind so quickly? Why

didn't you discuss it with someone else? Could you at least let me know?"

"Sister, this is because I am in a relationship with Jensen. It's normal for us to break up." Alice'snovelbin

implication was that Grace did not have to intervene in this matter.

After thinking about it, Grace could only look at her helplessly. "Then he agreed already?"

Alice nodded. "Yes."

Grace frowned again. Since he'd already agreed, why didn't he tell her this when they passed by each

other just now?

Grace did not mention this to Alice.

The moment they arrived in the front hall, they heard their aunt calling out to them.

Madam Lowe said, "Grace, you've all woken up at the right time. Come over and have a meal with me."

"Auntie, is Zachary coming back?" Madam Lowe nodded and said, "He is back and talking to Heinz

now."

Grace was a little surprised. It seemed that nothing had happened to the Old Master, otherwise, his

cousin would not have come back early in the morning.

"The Old Master is fine." Madam Lowe seemed to have read her mind. She opened her mouth and

said, "Zachary was there and they have talked for a long time."

Grace nodded, "Yes."

Madam Lowe continued, "The Old Master has made a will and the lawyer has gone over too."

Grace asked in surprise, "In the middle of the night?"

Madam Lowe said, "He probably knew that there won't be much time left, so he amended his will in

such a hurry."

Grace then asked, "Since the Old Master is still doing fine, then what about Grandma's ashes? What's

he going to do about them?"

"Your cousin told Heinz about it already. I think we should go and eat first and then we'll talk about it

after that."

"Alright."

Madam Lowe looked at Alice, who had been silent, and suddenly asked in surprise,

"What's wrong, Alice?"

Alice was stunned and smiled awkwardly, "Everything's fine, Aunt."

"You didn't have a good sleep, did you?"

Alice gave a shy smile. "Maybe I haven't acclimatized. It's okay, you don't have to be worried about it."

Madam Lowe looked at Grace again.

Grace also said, "It's okay, Aunt. She didn't sleep well so maybe her eyelids are a little swollen."

Madam Lowe was slightly relieved. She held the children's hands and entered the dining room.

On this side, Heinz, Jensen, and Zachary all came in.

Alice raised her head and met Jensen's eyes. She was stunned for a moment and then she lowered

her head.

Without batting an eyelid, Grace noticed all of this.

Jensen did not look at Alice again.

Madam Lowe arranged the seats while saying, "All of you, have a seat. The children are hungry

already. Hurry up and eat."

Grace and Heinz were a couple, so it was natural for them to be arranged to sit together.

Madam Lowe arranged for Alice and Jensen to sit together.

Sitting next to Jensen, Alice froze in an instant. She was not as relaxed as before.

She felt as if she was sitting on pins and needles.

Jensen said, "I'll be going back in a bit."

These words were said to everyone, but they were more likely to be said to Alice.

Alice was also in a trance and her mind was blank.

Just now in the house, he said that he would deal with some things and leave after a few days, but now

he suddenly said so. Alice thought that he might have made a decision, so she did not give any

response.

No one spoke.

Her aunt also said very naturally, "Jensen, you came in a hurry this time and left in a hurry too. You

didn't even get to have a good time here."

Jensen answered, "Aunt, in the future, if there is a chance, I'll have to trouble you again."

"It's fine. We're one family anyway."

Soon, everyone began to eat.

Jensen ate very fast. When everyone almost finished their food, he stood up and looked at Alice, but

she did not say anything.

He didn't eat much either.

Jensen hesitated for a moment and said, "Alice, I'll go back first. Something came up in Northern City. I

need to rush back there."

"Oh." Alice's heart skipped a beat, and she felt a little suffocated for some reason. She nodded and

said, "You can leave."

She was no longer qualified to keep him around.

"Then, goodbye." Jensen slightly smiled and nodded to everyone and said, "I'll be leaving first."

"Be careful." Everyone got up to see him off.

Alice was at the very end.

When she saw Jensen get in the car, her heart felt inexplicably bitter. She went back to the room in a

trance and closed the door.

Suddenly, something slipped out of her eyes and dripped onto her hand. It was a tear.

She bit her lips tightly and her tears covered her eyes. Alice couldn't help but cry like a child, because

she couldn't hold back her complicated emotions anymore.

Jensen came and went in a hurry like a gust of wind. He blew away the shadow that had been buried

deep in her heart for many years, and also stirred up her peaceful inner world.

She thought that this time, her heart was really going to die.

It was even more painful than the last time.

The last time, she felt as if the sky had collapsed.

This time, the sky did not fall down, but there was no more turbulence in her heart.

Jensen had taken it away.
