Chapter 527

"Grace, who is this?" Alice asked Grace quietly in the car. "How can there be such a good looking man

in Entertainment Daily? He is gorgeous."

"He is not from Entertainment Daily." Grace sounded astonished as well. "I don't know him. Let's go

quickly and see what the matter is from our so-called cousin."

"Okay." Alice nodded and followed Grace out of the car.

They walked towards Entertainment Daily.

The attractive man stood at the entrance. When he saw them, he looked at the both of them with

piercing eyes.

One could not overlook his strong aura at the scene.

Grace glanced at the man too.

Out of politeness, Grace nodded slightly at him and headed in.

Suddenly, the man's deep voice called out, "Hold on."

Both Grace and Alice were both stunned, thinking that they had misheard him.

"Sir, did you mean us?" Grace stopped in her tracks and looked at him.

The man nodded, but there was not much of an expression on his face. He looked calm.

"Excuse me, are the both of you Grace and Alice Smith?"

Grace was surprised and she suddenly felt a sense of familiarity. Was he their so-called cousin?

"Yes, we are." Grace nodded.

Alice nodded along. "A-are you Zachary Lowe?"

After confirming his identity, the man grinned faintly and said, "Yes, I am."

"Oh." Grace was astonished. She hadn't expected her cousin from Southland to be so attractive; even

the way he talked was graceful. "So, you're Mr. Lowe."

When Zachary heard her words, there was a glimmer in his eyes. He looked straight at her.

"Would you guys mind if we went to the cafe across the street?"

Grace paused for a moment before nodding. "Sure."

"Let's go then."

"I'll go say hello to our editor." Grace smiled at him.

Zachary nodded.

"Please wait for a moment." Grace rushed into Entertainment Daily while Alice waited outside.

Alice and Zachary were left alone at the entrance of Entertainment Daily.

Alice sized up Zachary and eventually stared at his face.

He returned her gaze calmly. He did not avoid her eyes nor feel embarrassed because of her observing

him.

"This person is really interesting," Alice thought.

Alice thought that people would usually feel embarrassed at others' stares, but Zachary didn't.

He remained unflustered, which in turn made Alice appear to be the nervous one instead.

She smiled shyly and said, "Who are you exactly?"

Zachary smiled slightly and looked at Alice. He said, "In terms of blood relationship, I am your cousin"

Alice pursed her lips. "For someone who had never contacted us before, how would we know that

you're indeed our cousin?"

"I am," Zachary replied. "The grievance of the previous generation was beyond our ability, so you don't

have to be hostile towards me."

Alice's heart skipped a beat. How could he have seen through her so easily?

She was a little flustered and peered at him with her big, bright eyes. She snorted, "It's natural to be

wary of others. How would I know what your true intentions are?"

Zachary laughed heartily and replied, "If I had any hidden agenda, it would be something that both you

and your sister wouldn't be able to handle. So, it's really fine to let down your guard and be true to

yourself."

Alice looked him up and down again and decided that although he appeared to be intimidating, he

wasn't a bad person.

On the contrary, he seemed good- natured and elegant, with a sense of righteousness.

In short, he didn't seem to be a bad guy.

"Then be honest with me." Alice said, "What are you doing here?"

Why would someone who had never contacted them suddenly appear?

"Grandma had passed away and I only heard about it when I returned to the country," Zachary replied.

"As the ancestors said, to be buried is the greatest respect for the deceased."

"Oh?" Alice responded. "Yeah, my grandma has passed away."

"Yes."

"But before Grandma's death, you guys didn't look for her. Why would you wait until after her death?"

"Death is the end of everything." There was a hint of sadness in Zachary's eyes. "There is no point in

finding out who was right and who was wrong in the past. At the moment, my only hope is to send

Grandma's ashes back to Southland for the Lowe Family to bury."

Just as he spoke, Grace walked out.

Zachary looked at her.

Alice immediately hugged Grace's arm and said, "Grace, he said that he is our cousin. He wants

Grandma's ashes to be taken back to Southland for the Lowe Family to bury."

Grace was taken aback. He really did come here for their grandmother.

However, Grace thought that Alice was much too hasty with her decisions.

Gracy looked into Zachary's eyes and said, "Mr. Lowe, let's go to the cafe over there and talk."

"Okay." Zachary nodded.

The three of them quickly entered the cafe and took their seats.

Grace asked, "My sister mentioned just now that you are going to take my grandmother's ashes back

to the Lowe Family?"

"Yes, that's right."

"Then can I ask you, why is it only now, that you guys want to take her ashes back?"

Zachary took out a picture from the pocket of his suit. It was a family photo in black and white.

He lowered his gaze slightly as his deep eyes stared at the photo. After looking at it for some time, he

handed it over to Grace.

Grace took it in astonishment. She noticed that there were seven people in the photo.

At a glance, she spotted both her grandmother and mother.

At that time, Grandma was still young, not more than thirty years old. She was carrying a girl of around

two or three years old in her arms; she was Grace's mother.

A young kid who seemed to be around five years old was standing beside her grandmother. Grace had

seen this five year old boy in photos before.

When she was a child, her grandmother often looked through the photos. Every time she looked at

them, she would weep in silence.

Could the boy in the picture be their uncle?novelbin

Another three teenagers were standing behind Grandma. One was male, and the other two were

female. They seemed to be around the same age.

And the most serious-looking one was the middle-aged man sitting in the center.

He was much older than their grandmother. He was at least a dozen years older.

That person should be their grandfather.

Although her grandmother had never mentioned anything about him, Grace could guess that this photo

was a family photo based on her common sense.

Zachary did not say anything. He just waited quietly for Grace and Alice to finish observing the family

photo.

Grace finished viewing the photo and passed it to Alice.

Alice was also surprised. This was her first time looking at it.

Grace looked up and met Zachary's gaze.

He was sitting next to the window. The sunshine shone through the window, outlining his facial

features. Although he seemed calm, there was a touch of resoluteness.

"Is he our grandfather?" Grace pointed at the middle-aged man in the photo.

Zachary nodded. "Yes, this is our grandfather."

Grace took a deep breath and looked at the man in the photo again. She felt that that man was hard to

read.

Why was he so cruel to drive her grandmother away?

"Mr. Lowe, how many children did Grandma have?" Grace asked.
