Chapter 514

Marry was locked inside and she had lost her freedom. She was a mess; her hands were in shackles,

and outside, there was another iron-fenced door that locked her in securely.

Grace stood outside while Marry stayed inside.

Separated by the door, Marry stared at Grace through the gaps between the iron bars.

Grace appeared to be oddly calm.

After releasing her suppressed emotions through crying, she felt that she could restrain her anger as of

now.

After all, Ernest was still in good health.

She was content with that.

She just needed to have a DNA test done to ensure that she was definitely the one who had given birth

to him.novelbin

"Grace, y-you..." Marry saw Grace's expression and felt anxious all of a sudden. "I admit that I was

wrong."

However, Grace merely looked at Marry with a cold gaze. If looks could kill, Marry would die then and

there. She stared at Grace helplessly, waiting for her to speak.

Mary noticed that she didn't have any intention to talk, and that her expression was dark.

All of a sudden, Marry felt deflated.

She should have known earlier that after she spilled everything, Grace's hatred towards her would only

grow deeper. Grace must've wished to end her right then and there.

Marry suddenly felt helpless.

Her face sank, and she apologized, "I'm sorry, Grace. I've wronged you. I'm sorry."

"Apologizing to a dead person after you kill them, do you think there's any use to that?" Grace replied

coldly. Her fingers were curled up into fists as she continued to suppress the anger within her.

Marry didn't deserve her emotions. Marry was ruthless and she was cruel to the point where she was

willing to hurt an infant.

"Grace." Marry grew even more anxious when she heard Grace's tone.

However, now, she couldn't turn back and undo what she had done. She could only look at her younger

sister in despair.

"1-1 know that I have done something that no human should have ever done," Marry started.

"Yes, you're indeed a monster," Grace cut her off. "You're worse than a monster."

Marry paused and she paled as she lowered her eyes without retaliation.

After a long pause, she said quietly, "Humans are all selfish, Grace. I had to think about my own future.

I was scared of losing Simon."

"You hid that note on purpose early that morning, didn't you?" Grace questioned.

"N- note?" Marry was taken aback. "What are you talking about?"

"The note that I brought back from the tent with a phone number written on it, and Hart Villa District's

address. You should know," Grace reminded her with a growl.

The astonishment in Marry's eyes immediately evaporated into guilt.

She pursed her lips and nodded. "Yes, I took it away.

I did it on purpose."

Grace glowered at her words. She could feel fury seeping through her entire body.

"You're so cunning." She glared at Marry.

"Yes, I was afraid that you would find someone. I was afraid that you wouldn't give birth to children. I

really was cunning," Marry looked up at Grace. "I was scared that you would go for an abortion and that

would ruin my wedding with Simon. I was scared that you would find the child's father, and marry him. I

couldn't bear to see you living a better life than me."

"Ha!" Grace snorted. "You can't bear to see that I was living a better life than you so you schemed for

me to have a one- night- stand with a stranger. You couldn't stand to see that my child has a father.

Even when I gave birth to twins, you couldn't bear to see both of my children together. You wanted me

to suffer all kinds of torture, including separation from my own flesh and blood."

"Yes." Marry nodded, looking very dejected. "You're right. That's how I was. I couldn't stand the thought

of you living a better life than me."

Grace had a strong urge to finish Marry off right then, regardless of whether it was with a knife or with

her bare hands.

However, the difference between Marry and Grace was that Marry was a monster, and Grace was still

human after all.

"I envy you," Marry whispered. "You have no idea how much I envy you, but thinking about it, shouldn't

you thank me? If I hadn't schemed against you, you wouldn't have met Heinz."

"You were hoping that I would meet an old man, right?" Grace sneered, "But you got it wrong."

Guilt flashed through Marry's eyes as she admitted it. "Yes, I'd originally arranged for two old men to

take advantage of both you and Alice. However, everything didn't go as planned when I stayed in the

tent after entering it."

Grace snorted at her words.

"I'm telling the truth," Marry said. "I didn't expect that, even without my arrangements, Heinz still got

with you. Isn't this fate?"

"Go to hell," Grace cursed. "You're really disgusting."

"But Grace, without me, how could you have achieved what you have today? How could you have

found love with Heinz?" Marry questioned. "Don't you agree?"

No matter how ridiculous this was, Grace couldn't deny the fact that without Marry's shamelessness,

she wouldn't have met Heinz.

It was just that Marry was too ruthless.

Grace stood there quietly. Marry had completely exposed her true nature, and Simon's true colors were

also revealed.

She and Heinz had found their two children. Their future would be entirely up to them from now on.

"Marry, even if you were jealous of me, you shouldn't have done this." Grace couldn't understand. "I

was already pregnant before I got married. Why did you still want to take away my child?"

"To please Simon." Marry replied. "I did all this to please Simon because he was the one who

suggested taking away your child. I did it for him, but I couldn't do everything that he wanted. So I only

took one child away. He wanted to send both your children away instead."

"So should I thank you for leaving one child behind for me?" Grace couldn't help but retort.

Marry shook her head and said, "No, but I'm done pretending. I'm tired of pretending. I just want all of

you to get out of my sight completely and stay away from me. Don't ever show up in front of me."

"Why?" Grace roared. "Why did you do all this? What on earth is the reason?"

"Of course there is a reason behind everything, even when I did everything I could to chase the both of

you out of the Smith family," Marry replied.

"Then tell me right now," Grace ordered through gritted teeth.

Marry was taken by surprise.

After a moment of silence, both of them glared at each other. Their eyes were both filled with anger.

"Because Father shouldn't have married your mother." Marry closed her eyes. "To tell you the truth, you

are not even my Father's child. You have no blood relationship with me. It was all because your mother

was clinging on to my father. When you were born, you took away my father's affection and my assets.

Of course, I felt that it was unfair."
