Chapter 470

"What?" Heinz's temper flared up the moment he heard that. "What do you mean time will tell? We're in

love with each other. What does time have to do with us?"

"You're doing this on purpose, aren't you?" Heinz continued in a deep voice. "Does it humor you to do

that?"

"Grandpa, if you're going to say things that'll infuriate me, don't ask me to have a meal with you," he

spat.

The old man had no way to escape Heinz's wrath, so he could only turn his eyes to Grace. Looking at

Grace, he asked, "Grace, do you think what I said makes sense?"

"You're right," replied Grace. That was all she could only say as he had asked her directly. "Your words

make sense."

"You see," Old Master Carter said, "Even Miss Smith agrees that I make sense."

Heinz was frustrated. He looked at Grace and complained, "Are you an idiot? We're on the same side.

The old man is doing this on purpose. Why are you taking his side?"

"Mr. Carter is right," Grace said.

Heinz rolled his eyes. "Grace, you don't have to flatter anyone in this family. It's useless. Do you

understand?"

Grace hesitated for a moment. Was she trying to flatter Mr. Carter?

She was just trying to be polite.

On the other hand, Heinz looked very angry.

At that moment, the old man revelled in glee. "Heinz, how can you say that to her? Don't you think she

will be embarrassed by what you said?"

"Grandpa, it's all because of you," Heinz snorted softly. "You're the one picking a fight, yet here you are

trying to act like a good person?"

"What did I do?" Old Master Carter didn't seem to think too much of it.

Heinz looked at the tea table and said in a low voice, "Is there no tea? You don't even know how to

offer a cup of tea to your guest."

"It's on the way," the butler immediately said. "Bring in the food and tea now."

The butler immediately instructed the servants to do it.

The old man was still holding on to Ernest. However, he looked at Little Gary and said, "Kid, come over.

Let me take a look at you."

"Just look at Ernest," said Little Gary as he looked at Old Master Carter. "I am afraid of strangers."

"Afraid of strangers?" Old Master Carter burst into laughter. "You don't look like that kind of person."

As they were talking, tea and fruits were served.

"Ernest and Gary, go wash your hands," Grace said, "If you don't wash your hands, you can't eat the

fruit, do you understand?"

"Mommy, I don't want to eat yet. I'll wash my hands later," Gary said.

"Aunt Smith, I don't want to eat either," Ernest said.

The butler paused for a moment and said, "Then we'll eat later. I'll bring the young masters to wash

their hands."

"Grace, have some tea," Old Master Carter said to Grace.

"Yes, Mr. Carter," Grace said respectfully.

The butler went to prepare dinner.

Although there had been a dispute, things did not get too out of hand. The atmosphere was very lively.

At the gate outside.

While they were in the house, a car stopped at the gate. The car door opened, and a girl with a slim

figure got out of the car. She turned around and stooped down to support the old lady who was getting

out of the car.

"Grandma, please take your time. Be careful not to bump your head," the girl said.

"Don't worry, Claris." The old lady was dressed in a simple yet elegant outfit. She looked like she was in

her sixties, but in fact, she was older than that. The aura she exuded was inexplicable.

She got out of the car and stood at the gate. She was not in a hurry to knock on the gate.

Claris was a little nervous. "Grandma, Grandpa already rejected me this afternoon. Is it appropriate for

us to come now?" "Of course," said Mrs. Hudson as she patted her granddaughter's hand, indicating

for her not to worry. "I'm here to pay a visit to an old acquaintance. It's only right for me to do so.1'

Claris nodded.

The old lady turned around to take a look and saw that the driver had already taken the gift out from the

trunk.

"Press the doorbell," Mrs. Hudson ordered.

"Yes, Madam," the driver said.

The driver hurried forward and pressed the doorbell.

The butler was very surprised. When he walked out, he saw that it was Claris and she was holding Mrs.

Hudson.

Mrs. Hudson looked younger today. She dressed up very well and maintained a good figure. She was

still very beautiful despite her age.

The butler hurried up to welcome them. "Mrs. Hudson and Miss Hudson, I'm sorry for not welcoming

you before as I didn't expect your visit tonight."

"Mr. Butler, is William at home?" Mrs. Hudson addressed him by his first name as they were close.

"Yes," the butler answered truthfully. "But there are some guests over today."

"There are guests?" Mrs. Hudson turned her eyes and looked at the yard inside, where a luxury car

was parked.

Needless to say, she had a rough idea of who was inside.

"Yes." The butler didn't intend to open the door. He actually wanted Mrs. Hudson to go back. After all, it

was Miss Smith's first visit, so it was not good if others interfered.

The butler knew what he should do.

However, Mrs. Hudson was not one who backed down easily.

She looked at the car inside, smiled and said, "Is that Heinz's car?"

The butler was stunned for a moment before he nodded his head. "Yes!"

"Since it is Heinz, he is not an outsider." Mrs. Hudson smiled. "Please open the door. I haven't seen

Heinz for a long time, and I want to see him."

At that point, the butler had no choice but to open the door.

As soon as the door was opened, Mrs. Hudson strode in with a domineering aura.

Claris held her grandmother's arm and walked inside together.

They didn't spare a glance at the butler.

He felt a little helpless.

The driver followed closely behind.

The butler had to return quickly and arrived at the door one step ahead of them. He reported

respectfully, "Chief, Mrs. Hudson has brought Claris to visit you."

"What is she doing here?" Old Master Carter frowned as soon as he heard that. He subconsciously let

go of Ernest who was in his arms. "Ernest, go and play." Ernest left in a hurry.

"Why? Am I not welcomed?" Mrs. Hudson's voice had already sounded from the door. She was full of

energy.

William stood up. "Oh, it's you. Why are you here at this time, you old lady?"

"I missed you. Hence, I decided to pay a visit. Am I not welcomed here?" Mrs. Hudson had already

entered the door. She looked around the whole living room with a smile. When she saw the two

children, she was suddenly stunned.

Old Master Carter smiled and said, "How can that be? Of course we welcome you."

Heinz frowned as soon as he heard Mrs. Hudson's voice, and he looked at Grace worriedly.

However, Grace was very calm.

The old lady at the door was a woman who looked very elegant. She looked very young as her skin

was well taken care of.

The old lady's eyes froze when she saw the child, and her face darkened.

Claris's face froze as well. All of a sudden, her face turned pale.

She looked at Heinz in disbelief, then looked at the children, and then looked at Grace. Her eyes turned

red.

"Brother Heinz," Claris called.novelbin

Heinz smiled faintly and ignored Claris. Instead, he said to Mrs. Hudson, "Mrs. Hudson, long time no

see. You came just in time. Let me introduce her to you. This is my wife, Grace. These are my sons,

Little Gary and Ernest.1'

As soon as he opened his mouth, he delivered a huge blow to Mrs. Hudson.

Mrs. Hudson stiffened for a moment. Then, she quickly came to her senses and said with a smile, "Hey,

Heinz, I didn't know you had gotten married. When did you get married?"
