Chapter 359

Jensen stared at her with eyes full of regret and pain.

"I won't hurt you again,'1 he promised.

If Alice had paid attention to his words, she would have asked him what he meant when he said 'again'.

However, at that moment, she was deeply moved and did not understand clearly the meaning of his

words.

Her eyes seemed to be shrouded. She looked at him and said in a trembling voice, "You are a good

person, Jensen."

His heart rate dropped when she had called him a 'good person'.

Was he truly a good person?

He was the person who had hurt her.

He was a policeman, so he understood fully the extent of his action.

Apart from that incident, he had never done anything that was against his conscience. That was the

only thing he regretted in his entire life.

When Alice said those words to him, he felt extremely guilty and was afraid to look into her eyes. In

addition to that, he felt extremely painful and burdened in his heart.

Tm not a good person," Jensen said hoarsely. "No." Alice shook her head and said, "you're a good

person."

Couples these days could not wait to sleep together after meeting.

How could Alice not know about it?

Jensen seemed to be a very dependable man.

But she just didn't want to be with a man. On one hand, her traumatic experience loomed like a shadow

over her heart. On the other hand, she felt inferior and had no confidence in herself.

However, this man was willing to accept her.

Even if her heart was made of stone, she would still be moved by him.

Warm damp mist swirled in her eyes as she stared at him. For once, she was willing to try because of

this good person. It would be great if she could help him to achieve his aim. To Alice, her own wishes

were secondary at this moment.

Jensen was also moved by her. He choked on his words as he said, "Alice, you are a silly girl."

Because she trusted others easily.

"Jensen, you're the one who's silly," Alice seemed to be arguing with him and wanted to have the final

say. "I'm throwing myself at you, but you are still trying to stop me. You're the foolish one."

As she spoke, she lowered her head and tightened her grip on his neck. His breathing sped up

instantly.

"Alice!" Jensen squinted his eyes and hissed in a low voice.

"Then, let me do it." Although Alice was very hesitant,

she really wanted to be brave for once.

She suppressed various emotions in her heart and put aside her fear of men. Then, she lowered her

head and kissed Jensen's lips.

"Oh!" Jensen's body stiffened and he couldn't help but whimper.

Alice ignored his reaction and continued with what she was doing.

Jensen was astounded by her soft touch.

Alice took advantage of her alcohol intoxication to do whatever she wanted. Her hand slid down from

his neck and began to touch Jensen's body without restraint.

"Alice!" Jensen exclaimed again as he started to lose control of himself.

"Shh! Don't talk," she hushed him while raising her head a little. Then, she lowered her head again

without even looking at Jensen.

Their warm breath intertwined with each other, and Jensen felt so aroused that he was ready to release

himself at any moment.

How could he endure such a provocation? His whole body had become extremely stiff by now.

With all her heart, Alice truly believed that he was a good person, so she didn't want to hurt him.

Alice wanted to save herself too.

She felt that she had to be brave and take the final step. If she could do so, she would be able to save

her soul that had been suffering for so many years.

She felt very uncomfortable.

The impulses in her heart made her feel that way.

But when she thought of the incident that year and the pain that she had endured, fear started to

spread throughout her body. She was terrified.

Her body immediately shrank.

She shook her head and tried not to think about it. Once she could stop thinking about it, she would be

able to forget it.

Alice tried her best to be brave and convinced herself not to be afraid. She reached out to remove

Jensen's clothes.

However, inadvertently, her hand brushed past his pants.

"Alice!" Jensen was startled and held Alice's hand quickly. He said in a hoarse voice, "Please wait for a

moment."

"I don't want to wait," she said while shaking her head.

"Be good!" Jensen's voice was extremely hoarse and incoherent. His heart was beating hard and out of

control. He said, "Get up, don't stay on the floor."

The floor was cold, they shouldn't remain on the floor.

Even if something was to happen between them, he hoped to give her the best experience, instead of

doing the deed on this cold floor.

Alice was slightly stunned. When she looked up at his bulging blue veins, she saw how anxious and

restrained he was. She started to panic and looked away quickly.

Jensen turned over and got up. Then, he picked Alice up and walked toward the bedroom.

Soon, he put Alice on the bed. Jensen looked at her with deep eyes, full of longing, pity and extremely

complicated emotions.

"Alice.'1 when Jensen saw her blushing, he was worried and asked, "Are you sure?"

Alice thought for a moment. Then, she nodded and replied, "I'm sure."

She had to give it a shot.

"Okay," Jensen agreed and lowered his head again. As he bent down, Alice's hands hooked around his

neck.

She tried her best to be bold.

Jensen lowered his head and kissed her. Then, he wanted to go further. That was the critical moment.

Alice's mind was filled with images of what had happened that day.

The situation was similar. That man had caught her in his relentless grasp; she had no chance to resist.

She panicked all of a sudden.

She immediately lost her breath, and her body started to tremble as well. Fear engulfed her heart.

Her eyes turned away and she fearfully shouted in a low voice, "No! No!"

Jensen was alarmed and stopped to look at Alice. The sweat on his forehead rolled down, one drop at

a time, onto Alice's face.

Alice cowered in fear and struggled while

whimpering, "No, I don't want to do it."

She shook her head and seemed to mourn silently, as if she was in unending despair.

Her face and body were sweating profusely. Soon, the sweat had drenched her clothes.

Jensen noticed that her face was pale and her blood seemed to stop flowing.

There was a change.

That was a natural reaction when one was faced with extreme fear.

He quickly got up and put on his shirt. Then, he wrapped Alice in a quilt and hugged her. He whispered

in her ear, "Alice, it's alright. No one can hurt you anymore. Don't be afraid. Good girl, it's okay.

Everything will be fine."

However, Alice still shook her head. Her pallid face started to break out in cold sweat.

She continued to shake her head as her voice choked with sobs, "I'm afraid, no, I really don't want to

do it. Please let me go!"

Jensen's heart seemed to be gripped by something and he couldn't breathe.

It was as if he was trapped in a big net. He couldn't breathe; the feeling was torturous and

uncomfortable.

"Is this what Alice meant when she said she won't be able to succeed?" Jensen thought.

At the thought of her traumatic experience, her body would tremble uncontrollably and she would not

let men approach her.novelbin

This was her emotional trauma. This was the thorn in her heart.

She wanted to overcome it, but she couldn't do so at that crucial moment.

Jensen hugged her with the quilt wrapped around her, and he reassured softly, "Be a good girl. Don't

be afraid. No one will hurt you. I'm here to protect you. Don't be scared, Alice."
