Chapter 280

Jensen was confused and taken aback at the same time. He shook his head and said, Tor now, it's

right not to tell him." "You really think so?" Alice looked at him in surprise.

Jensen nodded and said, "Yes. Heinz is in a bad mood now. He hasn't thought much about it. He's just

being jealous. You have to know that he is not a bad person. We've been friends for years, I know him

well. He is just too self-righteous, nothing else. It's up to you whether to let him know or not in the

future. I won't say a thing if you decided not to."

"You won't say a word about it?" Alice asked again.

"Yes," Jensen nodded. "I still want to have babies."

Alice was speechless.

After a long time, she opened her mouth and said, "I'm sorry. I was anxious yesterday. It just pissed me

off that he treated my sister so badly. "

"I understand," Jensen said with a serious tone. "I understand all of your feelings."

"Thank you," Alice said softly. "No matter what, I'm very grateful to you."

Jensen was amused by her and felt extremely warm in his heart.

He found that although she tended to act impulsively at times, she was a warm-hearted girl.

She would apologize after realizing that it was not

appropriate for her to act emotionally.

She had a soft heart.

"Don't worry about it," Jensen said. "I rather you could open your heart to me."

Her face immediately turned cold and she said, "I-"

"Lets go."

How could she open her heart?

Should she confess to him that she was assaulted when she was seventeen years old? And since then

she had been shunning men?

How could she say that?

They were silent all the way back.

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at Emerald Apartment.

Alice unbuckled the seat belt and got out of the car.

Jensen then removed the things he bought from the backseat.

Alice was standing behind him, waiting to fetch them from him.

Jensen then handed her the flowers and said, "Take the flowers and go up. I'll carry these. Might need

a few rounds."

"I'll help you," she said. "You can't take all of these alone."

"No need," Jensen refused right away. "You're my woman, I won't allow you to do any rough work."

What?

Alice was stunned. She felt weird that he had actually said that and she didn't really like it.

She said, "Don't treat me like a princess. You make me feel useless. Give me that bag. I'll carry it."

"There's really no need," Jensen said again. "I'm serious."

Alice could see that he was being courteous, but she didn't wish to be treated as a spoiled girl who

needed to be tended to.

Instead, she walked directly to the other side of the car. She opened the door, grabbed two bags,

closed the door and went straight up.

Looking at her back, Jensen said, "Alice, I've told you I'll pamper you."

"Can you just shut up?" Alice turned around grumpily and said, "You've been talking non-stop all the

way here. Are you going through andropause?"

Jensen blinked his eyes and said, "I guess so. I've been abstaining from sex for the past few years."

Alice stared at him with sharp eyes and said, "That's because you have had too much sex before,

haven't you? How many women have you dated? And how many times have you slept with those

women?"

She couldn't help but blurt out.

Jensen froze and immediately shook his head. "No, Alice, I've always led an honest life. I'm not that

kind of man."

Seeing him acting awkwardly, Alice rolled her eyes and said, "You said that you wanted to be in a

relationship with me with marriage in mind, right?"

"Yes," Jensen nodded seriously.

"I'm not a virgin," she suddenly announced. "I'm not

a pure girl. Do you mind it?"

Jensen's eyes darkened and he shook his head, "I don't mind. I fell in love with you at first sight. How

would I care about something so unnecessary?"

"But I do," Alice said. "I mind that I'm not pure anymore. I feel uncomfortable, do you understand?"

"I understand." Jensen's eyes were burning and his voice was hoarse. He looked at her and said

gently, "I understand, really."

For some reason, Alice went into a panic and quickly turned to leave.

A thought popped up in her mind.

That man was crazy. She was not a virgin. How could he accept it?

How could he be so open-minded?

Heinz pushed Grace away because of that exact reason. He couldn't accept that she had a child with

another man.

But why didn't Jensen feel the same way as Heinz?

Alice couldn't wrap her head around it.

Preoccupied with her own thoughts, Alice entered the house. Grace saw her and then Jensen, she

couldn't hide her surprise when she spotted his injuries.

Before she opened her mouth, Little Gary opened his mouth before Grace Smith did.

Before she could say anything, Little Gary exclaimed, "Wow, such a beautiful bouquet! Uh, why is

Officer Charm injured?"

Feeling embarrassed, Jensen said, "Oh it's nothing, just some bruises."

Grace was puzzled.

Being the sensitive boy he was, Little Gary asked, "Don't tell me you fought with that person?"

Jensen nodded and said, "Yes, we had a fight."

Grace then figured out that he was talking about Heinz.

Jensen comforted her with a smile, "Don't worry. I didn't say anything to him. Just venting my anger."

"Do men always have to resort to violence?" Little Gary pouted. "That's very childish of you."

"Yeah, you're right." Jensen didn't deny it.

Grace didn't know what to say.

Alice placed the flowers near the door and said to Grace, "You're back early!"

"Yes, we've been back a while ago." Grace looked at Jensen again and changed the topic, "Officer

Charm, you don't have to buy stuff over."

"I was in a hurry yesterday and didn't get to bring anything over. So I thought I should make it up to you

today.” Jensen carried the bags in. He said to Grace, "You should sort it out first, I'll get the rest."

"There's more?" Grace asked in surprise.

"Some toys for Little Gary," Jensen replied.

"My gifts?" Little Gary asked.

"Yes," Jensen nodded. "Would you like to go to get it with me?" "Okay," Gary said with excitement.

"Thank you. I'll go down with you. Mommy, can I go?"

Grace nodded, "Go ahead."

Jensen brought Little Gary along.

As soon as they stepped in the elevator, Gary immediately asked, "Have you got the thing I want?"

"Yes," Jensen said. "I've given my all. Thanks to your slacker father. He's using the same password as

his old door password. I've copied it down. I'll pass it to you later."novelbin
