Chapter 229

Grace just couldn't understand why everyone didn't have a sense of right and wrong.

Wasn't Claudine aware that her husband had been having an affair with other women?

Could it be that she tend to deceive themselves?

However, this had nothing to do with Grace at all!

She reassured herself that this really had nothing to do with her.

She was just consumed by anger because they were bullying her.

She couldn't allow herself to be bullied after being sexually harassed by her husband.

"Grace. Why don't you dodge the eggs?" Hermione shouted when she saw that she was just standing

there, unmoving.

Grace came back to her senses and locked her eyes with Hermione.

"Get behind me. I'll not allow my staff to be bullied," she said firmly.

Hermione walked towards Claudine with her arms on her hips. She looked up and met the other

woman's icy gaze with her own blazing glare. "Is it you who brought over these people to bully my

employees?" she sneered.

"Hermione, get out of my way! I'm here to take revenge on Grace. No one will stop me!" Claudine

gritted her teeth.

"How dare you? Did I give you any permission to do so?" Hermione snapped at her.

Grace silently stood behind Hermione. She wiped the liquid on her face away, and finally managed to

clear her vision.

Seeing Editor Lowe standing up to those people in order to help her, she couldn't help but feel warmth

rise up in her chest.

However, she did not want Editor Lowe to help her by standing in front of her to block them.

Grace glanced around and saw a penknife on her table.

She grabbed it and hid it in her sleeve.

"Get out of my way. I'm going to teach Grace a lesson! How dare she seduce my husband and frame

him!"

"It's okay," Grace said. Then, she stood in front of Claudine.

Claudine was taken aback.

Hermione was stunned too.

Everyone was looking at Grace with bated breath.

She was in an awkward predicament. The sticky liquid from the egg was all over her body. It felt

disgusting.

However, she stood in front of Claudine with a domineering demeanour.

Everyone was stunned.

Claudine shouted angrily, "What are you going to

do?"

Grace looked at her coldly. All of a sudden, she reached out and grabbed her hair.

"Ah-" Everyone exclaimed in shock.

Grace snapped, "Don't move."

Claudine was in pain because Grace was pulling her hair hard. She shouted, "What are you waiting

for?! Beat this little b*tch to death!"

"I'll hurt her if anyone dares to move!" Grace shouted.

She pulled Claudine towards her and pressed the penknife against her neck.

"Ah-"

Everyone was shocked upon seeing this.

"Oh my God!"

No one would have ever expected this to happen.

Claudine was so scared that she remained silent, her face pale as a ghost.

Grace grabbed her hair and cast a malicious glance at everyone else.

Those people who had followed Claudine here were frightened as well.

Hermione was covered with cold sweat as well.

She did not say anything and just stared at Grace in amazement.

Grace winked at her, and she then understood what she was trying to do.novelbin

Grace growled in a low voice, "If you want to solve the issue by means of violence, I'll take you on."

"How dare you do such a thing! This is illegal!" One of them shouted immediately.

Grace sneered, "You forced my hand."

"You-"

"Shut up. This is self-defence only."

"How dare you..." Claudine's voice trembled as she spoke.

Grace narrowed her eyes. "Miss Quell, I know what you're thinking. We both know the truth behind me

supposedly framing your husband."

Claudine's face turned pale. "You-"

"Say it again. Are you trying to frame me?" Grace shouted.

Claudine pursed her lips and remained silent. She was very scared.

Grace pressed the penknife closer, almost drawing blood.

"You'll go to jail if you dare to kill me!" Claudine screamed hysterically.

"So what? I would rather die than be a coward!" Grace answered, equally as loud.

Upon hearing this, everyone was stunned.

Grace’s moves won over every colleague in the office, including Hermione.

Claudine trembled after hearing what she had just said.

She sneered and pushed the penknife towards her neck again, "Tell me, who has been wronged?"

Tears welled up in Claudine's eyes.

She didn't dare to speak the truth. She cried out, "I don't believe that my husband has betrayed me. It

must be you who seduced him!"

Grace rolled her eyes. "Oh, really? Miss Quell, I'll help you tell everyone the truth if you don't want to

admit it."

Everyone was stunned.

Grace said angrily, "You're trying to blame me so that the reputation of your family won't be ruined. You

want everyone to think that your husband is deeply in love with you. You're just trying to deceive

yourself."

"You want to let everyone know that you're not a loser. That you have a wonderful family."

"You don't want to accept that your marriage is a failure. "

"I believe you know what kind of man Jason is. You also know how many times he has cheated on

you.""

"No-" Claudine cried out. She sounded as if she was helpless because the truth had been revealed.

Grace cut her off. "You know very well whether it's true or not! I don't need you to admit it. You said that

I have the support from Heinz, right? Well, why would I want to have anything to do with your husband

since Heinz is supporting me?"

"Your husband is just a filthy old man in his 50s. Heinz is miles better than him!"

Upon hearing this, everyone was left speechless.

"Why would I give up on such a good man like Heinz to seduce your slimy husband?"

"Tell me, am I the stupid one, or is it you?"

"Yes, that's right! Heinz is such a great man! Who would want that old man?" Grace's colleagues

cheered.

"Perhaps Miss Quell is the one that cherishes that lustful old man and treats him as a gem."

Claudine was speechless.

"You didn't witness what happened yesterday. How can you be sure that your husband didn't betray

you? I understand that you're trying to maintain your dignity, but I won’t allow you to put the blame on

me wrongly," Grace continued.
