Chapter 1743

Leah blinked in surprise. She felt what Ernest said was just so cool.

She felt her heart beating wildly when she heard these words.

She couldn't control the pounding in her chest, and she felt that Ernest looked like an angel.

The halo around him shimmered, and it radiated even brighter light. Leah was helplessly attractedto him.

Then, she walked closer to him and kissed his Adam's apple.

In an instant, Ernest's brows furrowed and his breathing quickened.

His eyes darted around, and he was always shocked by Leah's sudden moves.

Sometimes, Leah was very bold. Other times, she was as shy as a rabbit. However, Ernest was inlove with her every expression.

Leah opened her mouth to cover a wider area of Ernest's neck. However, she felt Ernest stiffencompletely as she did so.

Then, she stuck out her tongue and licked his

Adam's apple.

At that moment, Ernest felt as if his whole body was about to explode.

He sighed heavily. He had no idea what to do with the woman in his arms, as she could very easilycapture his whole attention.novelbin

There was nothing Ernest could do.

Alas, he kept a straight face and said, "Don't think you can get away from the fact that you hidthings from me by doing this."

Leah was astonished. Ernest was so incredibly rational even as she was kissing him, and he stillremembered her mistake from earlier.

Leah pouted her lips before she gently bit Ernest's neck.

Not only that, her hands started roaming and exploring his body. It didn't take long for Ernest tobecome aroused.

"Leah," Ernest caught hold of Leah's wandering hands. They touched his body expertly, and he wason the verge of imploding. Gasping, Ernest said, "Stop it. Let's talk about this."

Both of Leah's hands were shackled by Ernest, so she could only look up at him.

Her eyes were gleaming with cunning, and her lips were a cherry red.

Ernest gasped involuntarily when he looked at her.

He quickly claimed himself down and took a deep breath before he said, "You have to tell me aboutstuff as dangerous as this. I'll deal with it."

"How are you going to deal with it?" Leah felt rather pressured as he asked her questionsincessantly. "Are you going to get someone to scare him?"

"There's no need for that," Ernest smiled and replied softly, "We need to take action. Scaring himwon't serve any purpose, plus, I don't have the energy and patience to do so. Why not just hurt himright away?"

He would never allow Leah to be pursued by a man he once warned off. This was a challenge to hispride as a man.

If he couldn't protect his own girlfriend, he might as well not be a man.

"Hurt him?" Leah's expression stiffened. "Are you planning to beat him up?"

"Yeah." Ernest nodded.

Leah looked at him with a jumble of emotions in her eyes. "Do you need to be so violent?"

Ernest was rendered speechless.

"Will you be violent to me as well? If I accidentally piss you off, will you hit me?" Leah asked himwith a pitiful look on her face.

Ernest admired Leah's overactive imagination. She was a writer, all right.

He shook his head and laughed. "How could I ever hit you? Plus, I'd never hit a woman."

"Well, I'm kind of manly sometimes." Leah replied.

Ernest couldn't help but burst into laughter when she said that.

However, Leah still kept looking at him with her large doe eyes.

"Quit laughing at me," Leah's tone was serious. "Be serious, Ernest. You shouldn't be so perfunctorywith me. If you're already so violent, it's hard to say whether or not you'll hit me as well, so I need tomake sure."

"I'd never." Ernest's laugh grew louder as he looked at Leah.

"What are you laughing about? Be serious and quit laughing." Leah frowned.

Ernest nodded and stopped laughing. He looked at her with a serious expression and said, "I'llnever ever hit you, I can't bear to. However, I may swallow you whole."

Ernest pulled Leah's hand to his lips and kissed it.

Leah was stunned at his action, and she unconsciously retracted her hand as she pouted.

"You were really scary just now." Leah said. She leaned forward into Ernest's arms as a flash ofmischief sparked in her eyes.

Ernest then understood what was going on.

He looked down at Leah and said, "Are you really such a cowardly girl?"

Leah was surprised.

Fine, she did pretend to be afraid on purpose. She wanted to use this as an opportunity to changethe subject.

She was about to succeed, but Ernest was way too smart for that and he discovered her plan.

She sighed as her face stayed ensconced in Ernest's arms. She said, "See, you're treating me likea man again. You don't even see me as a girl, and you're questioning me the moment I'm softtowards you. Ah, this is so hard!"

Ernest burst out laughing right away.

He really had no idea what to do with this girl.

She did everything she could in order to divert his attention.

"Dang, what sort of impression did I give you? Why do you suspect me immediately when I go softon you?" Leah reached out to poke Ernest on the chest.

Wow, they were so firm.

Did he go to the gym often?

"All right, I get what you mean," Ernest chuckled, and he continued in a gentle voice, "I've said mypiece. You're not allowed to hide anything from me anymore. If you don't want me to hire someonefor your protection, then tell me the truth. If not, I'd be worried about you."

Leah could sense that Ernest no longer wanted to talk about this topic, so she nodded and said,"Got it. I'll tell you everything, okay?"

In fact, she was a law student. She could protect herself, and Leah felt helpless at Ernest'sprotective nature.

She later understood that Ernest was very worried about her. That was why he was acting like this.

Leah accepted it with an open heart because she knew how stubborn Ernest was.

Fortunately, Ernest didn't ask anymore questions.

Therefore, Leah left the matter alone and obediently agreed to Ernest's request.

Ernest smiled at Leah before he lowered his voice.

He leaned over and whispered in Leah's ear, "It's getting late, we should go to bed."

Leah felt embarrassed at Ernest's words and hid herself even further in Ernest's embrace.

Ernest's eyes flashed with a sense of pity as he spotted Leah's sweaty hair.

She was thoroughly exhausted tonight.

He got up and washed the towel for her before he cleaned up. Then, he got dressed and walkedout.

He went outside to make a phone call.

The call was quickly connected, and he said, "Do me a favor. I have a task for you at the law schooldorms in Northern City."

A respectful reply came from the other end. "Master Ernest, your wish is my command."

"Alright. I want to donate surveillance equipment to the dorms. I'll take care of the money, all youneed to do is talk to the landlords of each block and make sure the equipment is installed as soonas possible."
