Chapter 1691

Grace went to take a shower and washed the all the dirts away. She got dressed before walking outof the bathroom. After taking a shower and changing his clothes, Heinz was watching the messedup surveillance videos on his tablet.novelbin

After clearly seeing that those were Cindy, Sinclair, Michael and Monica in the videos, even Gracecould roughly figure out what happened.

Looking at the videos, Grace stopped drying her hair and sighed as she said, "No wonder the kidswere so hesitant. I can't believe how messed up this is. Cindy is really shameless."

Heinz nodded. "Exactly. It's not news anyway that she's a shameless person. You've seen it foryourself too. This is predictable."

After thinking for a while, Grace nodded and said, "You're right. Thinking back on the night we firstmet, she was pulling all strings to seduce you while I filmed you two in secret. Yet, you refused her. Ishould have known that she was that shameless back then."

Grace was taken aback after looking at the messed up scenes in the videos. At the same time, shewas a little glad too.

Fortunately, Heinz was not someone like them. He was a decent man.

It would even be better if she wasn't his second wife.

Unfortunately, she couldn't change the reality.

However, how many things in life were actually flawless?

Everything in life was full of uncertainties.

Thinking of that, Grace said, "Luckily you never fell for her charm. Otherwise, if there was reallysomething between you two back then, I'd have found you disgusting, even more so than a deadanimal's body."

"Do you think I'm that kind of person?" Heinz raised his brows and pulled her into his embrace. Shewas then sitting on his lap as they scrolled through the videos and images together.

It was difficult for Grace to look at those scenes.

"Let's stop looking at these disgusting people," Grace said, "I'm afraid the kids would be twistedafter seeing this. They might doubt love and life for the rest of their lives. How can she be thisshameless?"

"That's because you are a decent woman with good values," Heinz said, "A lot of people out therecan no longer be called humans as they have already forgotten what a human should and shouldnot do. Well, they're the ones responsible for their lives, and we are only responsible for ourselvesand our kids."

Grace nodded and said, "That's right. Let's turn it off. It's too disgusting to look at."

"Let's wait and see what they said in the video," Heinz said with a smile, "We can't turn it off yet."

Grace was startled and said, "Then I'll go downstairs. I can't watch it. You watch it yourself."

"Come on, watch it with me. We should at least find out what they're up to. I'm too lazy to watch iton my own too, so watch it with me," Heinz said.

He tightened his grasp around her, and Grace couldn't get away at all. She could only stay put withHeinz.

After a while, the video showed Sinclair being injured as he was being taken from behind.

Heinz raised his eyebrows while Grace was shocked to see that.

Turning her head, she buried her face in the crook of Heinz's neck and burst out laughing.

Her whole body was trembling from her laughter.

Heinz put his arm around her waist and looked at her with a smile as he asked, "What's the matter?

What's making you laughing like this?"

She was too embarrassed to look at Heinz.

Her head was still buried at the crook of his neck as she said, "I was too taken aback. I can't believethat Sinclair was actually doing that. He used to look all powerful when I saw him at those awardceremonies back then, but look at him now, being... taken from behind."

Heinz smiled faintly and said, "It isn't surprising at all, considering how many women he had beenfooling around with. It's his karma to be taken from behind by Michael, especially after making somany women his victims."

Grace stopped laughing finally as she looked up at him. She then smiled and said, "You're right. It'shis karma and serves him right. There's no need to sympathize him. I'm just worried about Celeste. How would she feel seeing her biological father being like this?"

Thinking of that, her worry was visible in her expression.

Her smile had already faded away.

Taking a deep breath, she met his gaze with a very concerned expression.

There was only wisdom left on Heinz's face over the years. His wrinkles were barely visible. He wasstill as handsome as before.

He said, "Don't you think that someone like Sinclair should never have children?"

"I do agree with that. He should be castrated," Grace said without reservation, "He's just shameless, and he's way too disgusting."

"Celeste probably finds it more sickening than you do," Heinz said, "That child is just going throughso much in her life. She never got to see her biological mother, and she was left with a father likethis."

Grace was startled. She didn't expect Heinz to say that. She nodded and said, "That's right, Celesteis probably feeling remorseful over this. It's disgusting to have him as a father."

"You should keep her company more often," Heinz said, "Now that she knows where she camefrom, she will naturally get to know about everything too."

Grace got reminded of herself. Her mother led a messy life too, but not as messed up as them.

Sinclair and Cindy could totally be considered as hooligans.

They had no bottom line or shame. That was the only reason that they could be engaged inactivities like that together. Grace was taken aback to learn about it.

Celeste must be suffering to have Sinclair as her biological father. It'd be better if he never did existin her life if her father had to be something like him.

"It must be hardest for Celeste to accept this now. She has always been a thoughtful child. Shedidn't get to know her birth parents, but now that she found out, it was someone like him. I pity herso much," Grace said as she stood up. "I'm going downstairs.”

"I'm sure they're not ready yet at this time," Heinz said, "Gary should be the one consoling her."

She nodded and said, "I understand. I'll head down first. I can't look at this anymore. I'm getting madjust looking at it. You can figure out what to do with it."

Heinz understood that she didn't like looking at disgusting scenes like that, hence he didn't force herto stay.

He could only try his best to continue watching it.

Grace went downstairs and saw Gary there.

She was startled and asked, "Why are you here? Where's Celeste?"

"She's taking a shower upstairs," Gary replied as he looked at her. "Mom, she's quite stressed tosee you and dad back so suddenly."

"Really?" Grace sat down beside him and sounded a little worried as she said, "Now that you'vementioned it, I do agree with you. Has she been stressed out these past few days?"

Gary nodded.

Needless to say, to suddenly find out about her biological father's identity, accepting her mother'sdeath, as well as finding out the relationship of her adoptive mother with her parents, Celeste musthave had a tough time. One had to be really open-hearted to take all those in.

"You should make some efforts to console Celeste then," Grace said out of concern, "I'm worriedabout all of you being here. Uncle Zachary is having their third child and they can't travel too faraway. Your dad and I could only come here ourselves."

Gary roughly understood his mother's concern.

"Are you here to confront Sinclair and Cindy?" Gary asked.

Grace nodded. "Directly or indirectly, we will deal with them no matter what. We're ready to go allthe way with them."

"Just send Cindy to prison," Gary said, "She must have broken the laws at least once over theseyears. Monica had the evidence and I saw them. Extraditing Cindy might take some efforts but I'msure she can't escape from justice."

Grace looked at him in astonishment. "So, is that

your actual plan?"

Gary nodded. "She will never understand how it feels like to lose her freedom if we don't send her toprison. Look at her now, having all the money and leisure, and yet she's still going after Celeste, even threatening her from time to time by calling her. She needs to learn a lesson."

"Did she actually threaten Celeste?" Grace frowned. "It seems like I made the right decision to beback. We showed her mercy four years ago and yet she is so shameless and she is even worsethan before."

Gary said in a straightforward manner, "You shouldn't have even showed her mercy back then. Youshould've snuffed her out. Heinz was being too soft-hearted and that's why she got to stir uptroubles for so many years."
