Chapter 1677

Monica was shocked. She cast Michael an incredulous look, put the knife away, and walkedtowards the table.

She turned on the computer. After a few clicks, she managed to enter Michael's account. When shesaw the amount of money in it, she chuckled, "I did not expect you to double the value of ourassets."

"That's my money," Michael insisted, "You said you will only take half of yours."

"Since it is yours, then it is naturally mine too. Besides, we are married, so we should share ourproperty. I want half of it too," Monica smiled, "How smart of you to transfer the money to a foreignaccount."

As she said that, she transferred half of the money into her account.

Michael watched in disbelief as Monica transferred the money into her account. He felt depressed.

When Monica turned around, she looked at Michael and showed him the computer, saying, "Have agood look. Half of all your money -I kept my word. From now on, Michael, the two of us will not haveanything to do with each other anymore."

After she finished what she came for, she packed her things and placed it all into the bag shebrought.

"You... Where are you going?" Michael saw that Monica was about to leave.

Monica was stunned. She turned around to look at Michael and said with a smile, "The world isvast. There will always be a place for me to stay, but I won't be with you, Sinclair or Cindy anymore."novelbin

"Will you be able to do so?" Michael shouted from behind her.

Monica smiled and replied, "You are right. I am slightly reluctant, but so what? No matter howreluctant I am, I still have to accept it. This is reality."

"Let me go, Monica. Let's go together," Michael cried.

"Forget it, you hate me so much. If I let you go, you will only take revenge on me," Monica smirkedwryly, "However, before I leave, I can still give you an unforgettable experience."

Just then, Monica placed her bag down and turned back, walking towards Michael. After squattingdown, she positioned herself on top of

him.

"You...?" Michael looked at Monica in surprise.

"I will play with you one last time," Monica grinned ambiguously, "After all, we won't be able to dothis anymore after I leave. Let's have some fun - some fun that you will remember for the rest ofyour life. What do you think about that?"

"You- Monica, let go of me," Michael struggled, "I can't do anything like this."

"You don't have to do anything. I'll do all the work. How can I bother you and force you to move?"Monica grinned and placed her hands on Michael's body.

Michael gasped at once.

"Actually, you don't have to worry at all. I still have feelings for you. How could I bear to cut yoursoff. However, if you didn't give me my money back, who knows? Maybe I would have actually doneso," Monica's words made Michael feel scared.

He had a feeling that if he did not give her money, she would definitely resort to more extrememeasures.

This woman really had some tricks up her sleeve.

Michael looked at Monica and chuckled, "Fortunately, I cherish life." "Yes, you do. Though, I'm alsoa loyal and emotional person for not transferring all your money away," Monica snickered, "I havealways felt sorry for you. That is why I gave you all the money I earned. I treated it as somecompensation since I felt bad for you. Likewise, I treated Cindy as my own sister and devoted myheart and soul to her, all because I felt bad for her. She has really disappointed me."

Michael did not say anything.

"You are just like her. You will only accept the hard way of doing things," Monica sneered andincreased her strength.

Michael immediately took a deep breath.

Monica giggled maniacally, "Does it hurt? Don't you know that with pain comes a lesson? I warnedyou already that nothing good comes out of being with Celeste. You should leave her as soon aspossible. It's best if you could get her money. If not, find a good place to stay and live a peaceful life.Leave her. You never belonged to this circle in the first place. You don't have many ties with thepeople here, so even if you leave, it won't be a problem."

"Are these your heartfelt words?" Michael retorted.

Monica looked into his eyes and said, "Of course. I have decided to leave, so you can leave too."

Michael narrowed his eyes, feeling uncomfortable due to Monica's words. He immediately asked,"Untie me first. I can't move, and it feels uncomfortable."

"If you could move, then I would be the person in pain," Monica patted Michael's shoulder andwhispered, "Just bear it this time. It won't happen again."

With that, she completely disregarded Michael's mood and only focused on her own pleasure.

After half an hour, Monica tidied herself up and smiled meekly at him, "Michael, sorry for this. Hangon, I will cover you up with a quilt. You can lie on the sofa and sleep. I am leaving."

"Untie me," Michael demanded, "You can even sedate me again. I can't be tied up like this."

Monica only smirked, "It's fine, the quilt is good enough. When Cindy comes and sees what I havedone to you, she will probably feel jealous."

After that, she blew a kiss at him and turned to leave.

She did not hesitate at all and opened the door, leaving in a flash.

"Monica, come back!" Michael shouted from behind.

However, Monica did not turn back.

She was gone.

Just then, Gary's phone rang, "Mr. Jones, Monica Wilbur has left Sinclair's place. She took herluggage and left in a taxi."

"Where is she going? Keep an eye on her and don't lose her," Gary requested.

"Yes, don't worry. We won't lose her."

After that, he closed the tablet.

Celeste immediately asked him, "Is Michael dead?"

Gary shook his head and explained, "Not only did he not die, Monica only took half of his money inhis account. Before she left, she even went to him and gave him some advice. I'm rather surprisedat her. She could have taken all of Michael's money, but she only took half."

"This is probably the best proof of her achievements after working in the entertainment industry forso long," Celeste guessed, "She is pretty smart. Taking only half of Michael's money is her way ofhoping that he won't come after her."

"That's spot on," Gary smiled, "I will go take a look at Cindy and Sinclair."

He got up and walked out of the door. After standing in the corridor, he peeked out the window andsaw Sinclair and Cindy sitting on a bench by the roadside. Their gazes were plastered on the officebuilding.

Gary scoffed in contempt. Just how long were these two people determined to stay there?

Maybe no more than half a day.

Gary smiled and turned around to tell Celeste, "They're still downstairs and aren't leaving. Do youwant to make a bet on how long they can last?"

"I don't want to bet," Celeste shook her head, "It's too boring to bet on them."

"Then what do you think is interesting?" Gary looked at her teasingly, "Is it more interesting to be bymy side?"

After being teased by him, Celeste felt helpless. She glanced at him and her face turned red. Shegrumbled, "You're teasing me."

"Answer me. Am I right?" Gary smiled at her.

Celeste nodded, "Being with you is indeed much better than betting on them."

Gary immediately beamed. He sat down beside Celeste and asked her, "What do you think of mestaying in London all this time?"

Celeste was dumbfounded and a little puzzled. She asked, "You are a student, you still have to goback to school."

"There are lots of ways for me to stay in London," Gary thought that he should not be in Boston, especially in times like this. He had a feeling that if Celeste was not by her side, she would be indanger.

Celeste looked at him and asked, "Are you being serious?"

"This is such an important topic. How could you think that I am lying to you? Celeste, do you think ofme as someone who is unreliable?"

Celeste shook her head and explained, "I don't mean that. I just think that you are not that sort ofperson to make such an offer. You insist on separation all the time. I am very surprised to hear yousay that you want to be with me."

"From now on and for the rest of our lives, let's be together, okay?" Gary felt extremely vexed, "It'sall my fault. I made you lose confidence in me."

Celeste shook her head, "Gary, are you worried that Cindy and Sinclair will harm me? Is that whyyou want to stay by my side?"

He nodded.

"If that's your reason for staying, I will blame myself a lot," Celeste explained seriously to him, "Yourstudies are more important. You are the eldest son of the Jones family, and you have youngerbrothers and sisters. I can't let your life goals come to a pause because of me. If that happens, I willonly become a burden to you, and it'll only make you feel pressured to be with me.

Thus, you don't have to worry about me. When the time comes, you should go back to study inBoston. I can protect myself. Cindy and Sinclair won't harm me, I promise. I can facethem."
