Chapter 1670

"It's great that you understand. You're in an extremely difficult situation right now, so don't cause anyunnecessary trouble for yourself. It's delusional if you think you can get your money back," Sinclairreminded her.

Although Monica was prepared for this, she still felt very uncomfortable when she heard Sinclair'swords.

She lowered her head and pursed her lips.

Sinclair gave her a sidelong glance and snorted, "What? Are you unhappy?"

Monica did not hide the truth and was frank, "I am unhappy. I never expected this to happen. I'm afailure."

Sinclair snorted and said, "Even I have fallen from grace. This is karma, really. I've taken too muchfrom women in my life, and this is what I deserve. To think that your husband even managed to dome in makes me so embarrassed."

He was furious at the thought of being humiliated by Michael.

Monica helped him to the bedroom upstairs and asked him to lie down. Then, she said, "He holds agrudge about us. I lost my virginity to you, only to end up with nothing. You married my godsisterSuanne, and you screwed over Cindy, Yannie and I. In fact, Yannie died because of you, so Michaelscrewing you over isn't so bad in comparison."

"Do you think it isn't so bad?" Sinclair glared at Monica, displeased.

Monica sat down beside the bed and said, "I don't think you lost out on anything. It's the samefeeling as a woman being penetrated, both pain and pleasure. See, you enjoy it too since yourefused to go to the hospital."

Sinclair yelled, "It's not that I don't want to go, but I'm afraid of making a fool of myself. I am a man,and it's not the same thing. How could you band together and treat me like this?"

Monica smiled wryly and said, "I'll go get some hot water. Take a bath and you'll feel better. I want totake a bath too."

"Give me my daughter's information first," Sinclair grunted.

His top priority was to get information on Celeste, which was the most important thing to him.

He didn't expect to ever have a child.

He really thought that his bloodline would end with him, but he was suddenly struck with theinformation that he had a child. This made him very surprised, and he wanted to meet her dearly.

Monica became unhappy at the sight of Sinclair's excited expression.

However, she did not say anything.

"Wait here. I'll check it out for you after I go to the bathroom. I'll show you some old pictures andstuff," Monica went to the bathroom after she finished speaking.

Soon, she came out of the bathroom and went back to the bedroom. She opened her suitcase, found a document and showed it to Sinclair.

"This is a photo taken when your daughter was a child," Monica categorized the photos neatly, "Shedid not suffer as a child, and she ate and lived like a king. She had specialized caregivers inCanada, and Cindy gave her everything she wanted -material-wise."

Sinclair took the laptop and turned it on. He saw a baby girl with rosy cheeks, and he found her verycute.

He glanced at her and found her features very familiar.

"She looks like Yannie," He said.

Monica looked down at the computer and gazed at him again. She smiled bitterly and said, "Yes,she does look a lot like Yannie."

Sinclair scrolled through the photos.

Monica replied, "This was when she was one. This was taken when she was two and threerespectively. Cindy treated her like her own, and she never wanted to do anything to her at first.Alas, Celeste was disobedient."

"My daughter doesn't need to be so obedient," Sinclair actually seemed proud of Celeste as hespoke.

Monica snorted, "Don't get so excited. She might not acknowledge you as her father. You're miredwith scandal, and she's currently dating the eldest son of the Jones family."

"It's not up to her to decide whether she wants to acknowledge me or not," Sinclair's tone was oneof disbelief, "As long as I'm her father, it doesn't matter whether she acknowledges me. You can'tchange the fact that we're related by blood."

"That may be the case, but she doesn't even care about Cindy, who raised her. Other than being asperm donor, what else have you given her?" Monica questioned.

"What's wrong with you? I let you stay here not to insult me. Remember, you're here under mymercy," Sinclair reminded Monica unhappily.

Monica stiffened, and her eyes became dull as she sighed, "Sorry, I guess I got too excited."

Sinclair ignored her and just looked at the photos by himself. He looked at each of the photos verycarefully.

He exclaimed, "She grew up into the spitting image of Yannie!"

Monica looked at the 12-year-old Celeste from the photos and agreed, "Yup. She really does looklike her mother as she grew up."

"Why was she raised in Canada?" Sinclair was very unhappy and he said, "If you raised her athome, I might have had the chance to see her."

Monica retorted, "No way. You won't be able to see her. Cindy refused to take care of Celeste anylonger because of her striking similarity to Yannie. It was torture for Cindy just to see her."

Sinclair growled again, "She's so cruel. If it weren't for her, Yannie might not have died. I'll never letthat d*mned woman rest as long as I'm alive."novelbin

"You should thank her. If she hadn't told Yannie's father about the pregnancy, perhaps Yannie wouldhave ended the pregnancy. Do you think she'll keep the baby after knowing what you did? Did youthink Cindy and I were happy after we ended our own pregnancies? That was our own flesh andblood, you know."

Sinclair paused and looked at Monica with a frown.

Monica just stared right back.

The two exchanged glances silently.

At that moment, a slight flicker of true emotion flashed through their eyes.

Sinclair sighed, "You were pregnant with a boy?"

Monica pursed her lips and nodded, "Yeah, it was a boy, and I was three and a half months into thepregnancy. I could clearly see that it was a boy."

Sinclair sighed, "Ah, what a pity. Honestly, perhaps I don't deserve to have a son in my entire life."

Monica replied, "Yeah, that's right. Be it Yannie, Cindy or I, we would have definitely bore youchildren willingly. However, you chose Suanne in the end. Why you and Suanne never had childrenis unknown, but you deserve everything that has happened. Everyone has to pay for their ownactions."

Sinclair glanced at Monica.

He quickly flipped to photos of Celeste when she was 16.

"This was before she went abroad. Isn't she beautiful? She's so lovely that one look could melt aman's heart. Honestly, Celeste is more beautiful than her own mother."

Sinclair nodded, "Yeah, she's definitely more beautiful than Yannie. What a charmer."

Just then, the sound of running water came from the bathroom.

Monica was shocked for a moment before she got up and said, "Go and take a bath. The water'soverflowing, and there's still time for you to look at the photos after you're done."

Sinclair was a little reluctant to leave, but he still nodded, "Okay, I'll go and get rid of the filth on mybody. You have to treat my wounds and disinfect them once I'm done."

"Sure, I'll do it if you don't mind the pain," Monica helped Sinclair to the bathroom and assisted himin bathing.

On the other end, Celeste's gaze was dull and cold when she heard all of that. She said to Gary,"Turn it off, I don't want to watch any longer."

Gary looked at her and silently turned off his computer.

No one expected that she was Sinclair's daughter, and the discovery was stifling.

Sinclair was a man who had no bottom line.

In the entertainment business, many people were like that, including Sinclair.

Celeste remained silent for a long time.

She sat on the bed cross-legged as she wrapped her arms around her knees. Her face was buriedin between her knees.

Gary sighed when he saw her like this, "Go to sleep first. As for the rest, let's talk about it tomorrow. It's late now."

Even so, Celeste had no intention of sleeping.

It was a shocking revelation, and she was still reeling from it.

Gary said, "It doesn't matter who your father is. To me, you're my girlfriend. I don't want anyone elseexcept you."
