Chapter 1638

Maria had to applaud his perseverance and calmness. She paused for a moment and said, "I'mnumb all over. Can I turn around?"

Liam nodded with a smile. 'TH help you."

As he spoke, Liam moved Maria so that she was lying on top of him. Magically, he did not evenmove an inch away from her.

Maria was stunned. Then, she protested, "Liam, how are you able to do that?"

"Why not?" Liam laughed as he said, "There are many things that are possible, and this is a skillthat requires a lifetime to learn."

Maria was amused.

She remained silent for a while, then said, "I'm heavy though. Can you still breathe?"

"No, you're not heavy at all. On the contrary, you're too thin. You haven't had a good rest these fewdays, and you've lost weight again," Liam said.

Liam gently pinched Maria's waist, which had become thinner.

Maria sighed and said, "Do you want to know something? I lived overseas with my mom until I wasfive years old. After we found my dad, he was always with my mom, so my grandmother would takecare of me most of the time."

Liam blinked in confusion before realisation hit him. "Oh, your parents were going on dates."

Maria nodded. "Yes, I was six years old at that time, so I didn't understand. I wanted to be with themso badly, but they preferred to be with each other instead. I know now that it was because the both

of them loved each other very much."

Liam nodded. "Mhmm, just like how we are now. I don't want to be disturbed by others at all. I justwant to be with you all the time."

Maria laughed and said, "Although my stamina is not very good, I hope that we can be together allthe time."

Suddenly, Liam flipped Maria over to face him.

"So, you want us to be together all the time, huh?" he asked.

Maria nodded sheepishly. "Of course. I'm sure any one of your fans would have wished so."

Liam frowned. "I don't care what my fans think. All I want is to be with you; I don't care aboutanything else."

"It would be my honor, Mr. Robinson," Maria replied with a smile.

"Do you feel well-rested now?" Liam whispered.

Maria knew that he did not want to wait any longer, so she nodded. "I think I'm ready."

"Well then, don't mind if I do." Liam beamed.

Maria nodded.

With that, Liam really went for it.

They did not waste a single second of their time that night.

At the thought that Maria was leaving soon, they could not help but try to seize every availablemoment together.

Meanwhile, over at Cindy's apartment building.

The reporters had been taken away by the security guards.

Many of them were unwilling to leave, but the guards were adamant about getting rid of them.

Sinclair quickly got out of his car. He had on sunglasses, and he entered the elevator with hisbodyguards and assistants in tow.

When he knocked on Cindy's door, she did not seem surprised to see him. "What are you doinghere?" she asked coldly.

Sinclair simply walked in and looked at her, saying, "Close the door."

Cindy slammed the door shut and plopped down on the sofa with her arms crossed. She gave hima frosty look.

Although she was trying hard to hide her anger, it was as clear as day.

Sinclair sat down on the sofa and took off his sunglasses. He looked at her and raised hiseyebrows. "Go to Canada, Cindy."

"I'm not going," she said in a low voice.

"How about New Zealand?"novelbin

"I'm not going."

"France," he suggested.

"No." She still refused.

"Then what do you want?" he asked.

"I want to stay home. I'm not going anywhere," she replied softly.

"Can you even stay here? The wives of the men you've slept with won't spare you," he remindedher.

Cindy sneered. "What does it have to do with you?"

"Seriously? I care about you. Do you think I'll be glad if something happens to you?" Sinclairsounded frustrated.

"Hah! Yeah, right," she replied sarcastically. "Stop being such a hypocrite, Sinclair."

"A hypocrite?” His anger flared. "Cindy, do you have to be so ungrateful? If it wasn't for TheclairMedia, you wouldn't be where you are today."

She was furious. "Sinclair Stone, I don't owe my success to you. You used me. I owe my success tothe men I slept with. I used my own body in exchange for projects. I'm signed with Theclair Group, but you didn't have any part in making me successful. I made all of you a lot of money, but I did it allon my own. None of it had to do with you, Sinclair."

Seeing her so agitated, he looked calmly at her without refuting her words.

"Let's not fight. I admit that you've brought great profits to the Theclair Group," he said.

"Obviously," Cindy said snidely.

"However, the resources you used belong to the company. Don't forget that I've always been verylenient with you. I agreed with your idea to blacklist Liam, and because of that, the company has

suffered huge losses."

Stunned, she laughed in disbelief. "Don't blame Liam's blacklisting on me."

Sinclair's eyes narrowed.

Cindy continued, "I know very well what kind of person you are. You're someone that never admitsthat you're wrong. Liam went against the company's wishes and studied abroad, so you wanted toteach him a lesson. Even if I hadn't suggested blacklisting him, you would've done it. You enjoypushing the blame onto someone else, don't you? Let me tell you, I'm not the only one to blame forthis."

"Cindy, do you hate me that much?" He looked at her with a frown.

Cindy nodded. "Yeah. I really do hate you, and I wish that you'd wind up alone for the rest of yourlife. You don't deserve to have a family, Sinclair."

"And yet, I have one. You, on the other hand, have none," Sinclair replied nonchalantly.

Those words infuriated her, and she stood up, glaring at Sinclair.

Her glare was as sharp as daggers, seeming to pierce deep into his soul.

She sneered. "What do you think is the reason I don't have a child? I wonder if you really have aconscience."

He narrowed his eyes, raised his head, and replied, "Cindy, calm down. Let's talk. We're old friends, and I'm here because I care about you. I want you to be okay."

Cindy turned away and looked out the window. There was a flash of anger and mockery in her eyes.

Then, she turned to look at him and said mockingly, "Are you doing this for my own good? I reallycan't tell. Aren't you afraid that your wife will flip out if she finds out you were here with me?"

Sinclair looked shocked at first, then his expression turned to embarrassment.

"Oh right, you're not the Sinclair I once knew." Cindy sat down once again with her arms folded."You no longer need the support of your wife's family, so you don't need to be afraid of her now, doyou?"

"Do you have to be so rude?" he growled in a low voice.

Cindy chuckled mirthlessly. "Well, yes. I've been courteous enough to you over the years, and I'vehad enough."

At that, Sinclair could not help raising his voice. "Cindy, do you still want to solve the problem?"

"No!" Cindy roared back.

He gritted his teeth. "Then tell me, what are you going to do now? More of your scandals haveappeared in the news today. Do you know which one is it this time?"

Cindy hesitated. She seemed a little surprised.

She immediately took out her phone and scrolled through the news.

Sure enough, there was a video of her with another man.

When she saw who it was, she was astonished, and a hint of fear flashed in her eyes.

Sinclair said, "You really are a piece of work. How could you have gone after Monica's man? Howshameless are you?"
