In London.

Maria was bored. She was staying in London all alone. Gary and Ernest had hastily flown backhome for the funeral, and even Celeste had gone back as well.

She was left with only the butler and the servants in the London house, which made her feel evenmore desolate.

Maria really wanted to fly back home too. The urge to go back was getting stronger and stronger.She wanted to go back to see Liam.

A few hours after Celeste left, the niggling thought had grown exponentially. Pacing irritably, she feltextremely conflicted. Her yearning to meet Liam grew with every passing second.

Fortunately, Maria received a phone call from Celeste before she made her decision. When Celestetold her that Liam was coming to London, Maria was pleasantly surprised.

Liam was going to come over? Maria thought excitedly.

Thank god she did not fly back!

Maria was giddy with excitement at the news, but she dared not call Liam. Instead, she quietlymade preparations. She wondered if she should bring Liam to the villa, or should they stay in ahotel together?

After hesitating and thinking about it for a long time, Maria decided that it was time to let Liam stayat the villa. After all, this was her home in London.novelbin

She felt that by inviting him over, her feelings could be better expressed.

However, she needed to get the butler on board with her idea first. Otherwise, he would definitelyreport it to her family.

Although the butler was a nosy man, Maria thought that he would not poke his nose into theirprivate affairs.

So, Maria asked him to clean up the guest room.

"Who's coming over, Miss Maria?" he asked before he started cleaning.

Seeing how gossipy he was, Maria looked at him and smiled playfully. "A friend. A guy friend. Doyou know what you should prepare?"

"Is he your boyfriend?" He immediately showed more interest, flashing her a gossipy grin.

Initially, Maria did not want to admit it. However, she thought that it would not be right if she deniedit, so she nodded. "Yes, he's my boyfriend. But don't tell my parents."

The butler laughed and asked teasingly, "Are you afraid of your parents knowing? All right, I won'ttell them. You have the freedom and right to be in a relationship."

"Thank you for understanding, Mr. Butler," Maria said, thanking him fervently. "You must take goodcare of him for me. He's not a talkative person, so you should be careful of your words. Don't scarehim."

"Miss Maria, don't worry. I'm good at this sort of thing. No matter who it is, I won't let them feellonely."

"It would also be better if you could let us have some time together alone. Don't be a third wheel allthe time, okay?"

"All right. Don't worry. I know what to do. When the time comes, I'll definitely make myself scarce,"he replied with a wink.

"You have my utmost appreciation."

"Then I'll arrange for his room to be next to yours. Since Miss Celeste isn't staying here now, it's noinconvenience. The two of you will be able to stay closer together, and it'll be easier for you two tocommunicate."

The butler's eyes twinkled mischievously when he

said that.

Maria rolled her eyes. She thought that he was being rather lax in his duties, but she also felt thathis actions were somewhat adorable.

If she had a strict and rigid butler, he would probably report the matter to her parents. Fortunately,this butler was not like that. He was not so strict, and he had a strong interest in their relationships.

In preparation for Liam's arrival, the butler made the bed and tidied up the guest room.

Maria went out to buy some toiletries for him too. It only took three hours to get everything done.

She felt that time was passing too slowly. To her, every second of waiting felt like years.

She wondered what she should wear to pick him up at the airport.

Maria went to pick out an outfit, trying them out in front of the mirror one by one. She picked all ofher favorite clothes that highlighted her features. She wanted to welcome him at the airport whilelooking her best.

It would be even better if the outfit she wore was able to dazzle Liam at first glance.

For one whole hour, Maria stood in front of the mirror and tried out every piece of clothing she hadin her wardrobe. In the end, she picked out three gorgeous outfits, intending to wear them over thenext two days.

She even picked out a sexy and charming set of pajamas.

Liam was completely unaware that Maria already knew he was coming.

After getting off the plane, he looked at his watch. He was sure that it would take him over an hourto reach the villa.

He even thought that it would be better to stay in a hotel, so he booked one. However, the momenthe left the airport, he caught sight of Maria at once.

Surrounded by foreigners, her slender build and luscious black hair stood out from the crowd. Shelooked gorgeous.

Maria stood at the arrival lounge and waited for him. The moment she saw Liam, she smiled brightlyand waved at him.

At that exact moment, Liam was stunned. He realized that Celeste must have told Maria about himcoming to London, which was why she came to the airport to give him a surprise.

Liam felt astonished and a little helpless at the same time, but he was also relieved and touched.

He looked at Maria and smiled, which lit up his handsome face.

After only two months, he had actually missed her so much that he could not believe it himself. Justa glance at her was enough to satisfy him.

After hesitating for a little while, Liam quickly strode towards Maria, spreading his arms to embraceher slender body.

The two of them hugged each other.

Liam embraced her tightly with his strong arms.

Maria buried her face in his chest, breathing in his scent. When she smelt the familiar fragrance, itfilled her with a sense of yearning and affection.

She had missed that scent very much. It was Liam's scent, something that only he had. Aftermissing him for two whole months, she could finally see the man she loved again.

Maria felt like she could almost faint from the excitement.

Liam took a deep breath and swept his gaze over the foreigners around them. No reporters were insight. Lowering his head, he bent down and kissed Maria on the lips.

They could not help but kiss each other passionately while standing in the middle of the airport.

Maria did not shy away either. Hooking her arms around his neck, she responded with even fiercerenthusiasm.

The two of them kissed for quite some time until even they themselves felt somewhat embarrassed.When they came back to their senses, Maria said quickly, "Hurry, get in the car in case there arereporters."

Liam did not seem to care. He smiled bitterly and said, "Relax. There aren't any reporters followingme. I'm not famous anymore. Even if I told them that I have a girlfriend, no one will take pictures ofus. Don't worry."

Even though he said it calmly, Maria still felt a pang of sorrow. She had sensed a trace of bitternessin his voice, as well as a bleakness that could not be suppressed.

In less than four and a half years, Liam had gone from being an influential celebrity into a D- listcelebrity that no one cared about. He must have suffered a lot.

Maria's heart ached as she thought of that. She took his hand and led him to the parking lot.

Liam held her hand in one hand and pulled his suitcase with the other. Both of their hands weresweaty.

No one paid any attention to them.

Sure enough, there were no reporters or paparazzi. It made Maria feel even more distressed. Shesaid to Liam in a serious tone,

"You'll definitely be famous again. Don't worry."

He knew that Maria was only saying that to make him feel better, but Liam did not mind. He smiledand said, "It doesn't matter. I can still get into other careers if this one doesn't work out. Don't worry.I can take care of you."

Maria immediately shook her head. "I don't need you to. You don't have to pressure yourself somuch. Besides, I really believe that you'll make a comeback, so you must believe in yourself."

Upon hearing this, Liam rubbed Maria's head fondly. "All right. I'll definitely make a comeback.Okay?"

"Don't say that just for my sake. I'm serious. I'm not just saying that to comfort you. Think about yourline of work. When you make your comeback, you'll be able to remove the label of being an idol andbecome an influential actor or artist. By that time, you can really showcase your talents."

Liam raised his eyebrows and said with a bemused smirk, "It seems like you really are getting moreand more professional."

"I've been observing too," Maria said. "I know things have been hard for you. It's not that you don'thave anything to show, but because you're being sidelined."

Liam stared deeply into Maria's eyes, smiling.

"You have so much confidence in me. If I don't work hard and do well, I'll really let you down."
