Chapter 1522

Eason finished his meal in no time. He put his plate away and stood up, instructing Celeste andGary, "I'm all done. The two of you can continue to enjoy your meal. After that, come to my office. Both of you."

"Alright. You're done with your meal? That's fast." Celeste stared at Eason in surprise.

Eason nodded and smiled, "Yes, I'm set to leave. I came here earlier than you two. Also, I saw thatthe two of you were chatting when you were ordering. Hurry up next time."

"Alright," Celeste nodded. She wondered if he did not like her chatting in the restaurant.

"I don't have a meal card yet," Gary glanced at Eason and explained lightly, "So I borrowed hers."

"Oh, that's right. We haven't sent it to you. I'll get someone to do it later."

"Thank you,Mr.Trevino," Gary smiled.

"You're welcome." With that,he left in a hurry.

Celeste sat still in a daze, staring in the direction of Eason as he left. She thought that Eason musthave been an elite as a result of how speedy he was handling everything, even in eating.

Perhaps everyone in the workplace was extraordinarily hardworking and put in more effort thananyone else.

They only showed their bright side to others and would not let other people witness the difficult partsof their life. So,she had to work hard in the future.

Was her master reminding her to chat less in the future?

She would keep that advice in mind and spend less time chatting.

As for Gary,he had different thoughts about what Celeste had in mind.He felt that Celeste wasattracted to Eason.

She was still looking in the direction in which Eason had left.Even after he had left, she seemedabsent- minded for quite a while. No one knew what was on her mind.

Gary was instantly displeased, but he knew that he could not lose his temper.

How uncomfortable.

After some time, Celeste was still in a trance. He couldn't help knocking on the table as hereminded, "Miss White, hurry up and finish your meal. Mr. Trevino wants to meet us in his officelater. When are you going to finish if you continue to stare at his figure like that?"

Upon hearing that,Celeste frowned. Why did she feel that Gary seemed to be implying somethingelse? She felt unpleasant and glared at him.

She thought of the advice she had been given to not speak.

Once again, she showcased such an attitude. Gary was upset, but that was how Celeste treatedhim.

He did not know how she could be respectful and humble towards others but rude to himself.Hesighed, lowered his head, and continued eating.

The food he initially thought to be delectable turned tasteless in an instant.

Celeste seemed to have figured something through as she savoured the food.

She still did not say a word after finishing her meal as she got up to place the empty plates away.

Gary was stunned. When he saw Celeste standing up,he immediately stuffed two mouthfuls of foodinto his mouth, got up, collected his plates, and followed her.

He continued to stick by Celeste's side closely as he asked,"Why didn't you tell me you were done? Were you going to leave just like that?"

Celeste frowned. She turned around to look at him and refuted faintly, "Are you a child? Do you needme to tell you everything?"

After being retorted,Gary seemed to have been placed in a difficult position as he franticallyexplained,"Didn't we come together? You should at least inform me.It's basic courtesy."

Celeste did not intend to bicker with him,so she nodded, "Oh,alright. Mr.JonesJ've finished mymeal. Can I leave now?"

Although her attitude was calm, she showed no intention of slowing down at all. After she finishedspeaking, she continued walking forward, expressionless.

She placed her plates in the empty sink and left the restaurant without hesitation.

Gary placed his plates at the designated area as well. There was still leftover food, but he couldn'tcare less about that. He could only chase after Celeste, feeling so utterly depressed seeing howshe was completely ignoring him.

"Celeste,at the very least,we're still colleagues," He tried to bring up a topic.

"Yes,we're colleagues, and we may continue to be colleagues in the future." Celeste noddedseriously,"We might still be colleagues for the next decade,so what about it, Mr. Jones?"

Gary

was

stunned

once

more.

Disheartened,he opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but he could not utter a singleword. All he could do was stare at Celeste with his gaze deep.

After a brief moment of silence, he sighed, "I've got nothing left to say.Come on,let's head towardsEason's office."

Soon after that, they entered Eason's office.

"You're here?" Eason looked at them and smiled, handing each of them a copy of some printeddocuments on his desk.

"These are your tasks for the afternoon. Check out the documents for the export and import ofproducts in London for this season. I need you two to identify the problems lying within."

Gary gave it a look and nodded,"Sure thing, no problem."

Eason's gaze fell on Celeste, "Celeste, what about you?Do you have any questions?"

Celeste nodded, "Sir, haven't you already completed it? You did this in the beginning, didn't you?"

Before Eason could speak, Gary snickered as if he was laughing at her for asking such a sillyquestion.

However,Eason did not explain. He spoke in a low voice,"That's why I need you to find the ins andouts of the problem."

After his vague explanation,he smiled.

Celeste still had questions, but Eason chimed in,"Alright, you two may leave now. Come back to meafter you've finished checking."

Gary and Celeste left together.

After she went back to her desk, Celeste was still deep in thoughts, frowning. She looked at thedocuments and receipts in hand. Was there anything wrong with them?

It had been investigated thoroughly by those from each department. Would there still be anythingwrong with it?

Gary said nothing as he still flipped through the documents in a serious manner.

Celeste sat down and turned around to look at him, only to find that he was sitting still and waslooking through the information speedily.

Celeste did not want to be left behind,so she sat up straight and started to read the informationcarefully as well.

However, despite looking through the information, she still could not find anything wrong with it.

Gary had already read through the documents. He then began creating and filling a form on hiscomputer.

Celeste glanced at it and found it odd. With that, she continued to check on her documents.

Gary ignored her and printed the form on his computer. He then picked up the materials Eason hadgiven them and returned to Eason's office.

Celeste frowned and muttered to herself, "He's actually done with it in such a short time. It has onlybeen an hour and a half."

He discovered where the problems were. On the contrary, she could not notice anything wrong withit even after looking at it for such a long time.

She started doubting herself.novelbin

Was there anything special about Gary? He could easily find out what the problems were, whereasshe couldn't identify the problems within no matter how hard she tried.

Celeste knew that there had to be something wrong.

She was well aware of the fact that she needed to read through countless reports to distinguish theproblems within in the future.

If she could not pinpoint them out clearly right then, things would definitely turn tougher for her inthe future, so she needed to be patient and look through the documents carefully to discover whatthe problems were.

Celeste thought about it carefully. She felt that she must have missed out on something. Shechecked carefully once more and tried her best to forget about the time.

That time, she finally found a problem. She hurriedly turned on the computer to create a form aswell, marked it out, and continued reading it carefully.

She could not detect anything wrong with the materials, but when she inadvertently glanced atGary's computer, she saw him typing a whole paragraph. It shouldn't be for nothing.

Celeste was annoyed once more as she felt that she was quite dumb and slow.

At that moment,Gary had already exited Eason's office.

Celeste was stunned. From the look on his calm face and empty hands, it seemed that he had donea great job.

Celeste frowned. When he returned to his seat, she asked in a low voice, "Have you finished all ofit?"

"That's right." Gary nodded, "I'm all done."

"You've already shown it to Master Eason?"

"Mhm." Gary once again nodded his head, his attitude still as calm as ever, "Mr. Trevino praised mefor doing a great job."

Celeste was slightly shocked. That was right,he had always been the smart one.

She sighed. She could not be compared to him at all as she was a blockhead. She lowered herhead and continued her work.

Gary noticed how downcast and annoyed she seemed, but he said nothing.

He sat down and continued his work.

Celeste was still carefully looking at the data, but she could not find anything wrong with it.

She lifted her head to ask Gary, "How did you manage to determine the problem?"
